    Assistant English Teacher from Kaiyo here! The school takes immense pride in the weightlifting clubs abilities. I've watched them train a few times and its cool to see them training in Korea. Thanks for the video!

    Would love to see a video containing your analyses of Japanese and Korean techniques, training systems and overall philosophies and approaches to weightlifting -- differences, similarities, influences, etc.

    Question: are they doing 15 sets at top/working weight or are they counting warm ups with the bar etc as well? I did 15 sets of each with 60% and my legs have never been so sore. I’m trying to keep up and do the programs in all of the sessions you uploaded from this intense camp of insane volume. 90-100 snatches in one session is just crazy

    • @WeLiftWeights
      @WeLiftWeights  4 місяці тому +1

      The lazy ones are counting the warmups as well. I think most of the girls are only counting the top sets. Also, keep in mind these guys are mostly 18-20yo and all they do is sleep eat and train during the winter

      @@WeLiftWeights thanks for the reply jangho. It is probably overkill for me but i enjoyed the experiment and i can see the merit of getting this much practice through such high volume of the lifts in a prep phase

    Does Korea and Japan do training camps together often? Since we saw the same athletes at Ehime as well.

    • @WeLiftWeights
      @WeLiftWeights  5 місяців тому +1

      Korea and Japan used to training camps together often before the pandemic. Coach Hyunsoo from Shinsung really likes Japan and has a bunch of friends in Japan, so that's why he was visiting Ehime.
