I'm a bit miffed over dropping the Devil Summoner title. If Atlus is consolidating most of their series' under a few big pillars it's a bit of a missed opportunity. Like, you could still experiment with the series without making it a dedicated cyberpunk franchise, the stylish near-future charm of original DS and the pulp-ish turn-of-the-century atmosphere of Raidou games are proof of that. We at least have Kuzunohas to tie the games together, that's cool.

The sh2 update was essential imo. For me, the game was way too slow. Quit playing then tried again after update and had a blast, even played ng+ Gotta say the story is kinda lame, "oh, you're dead? Lemme pull off some disney magic and just... hack your soul back to life" like, what? thats not even sci-fi logical I hoped the fast forward feature would become a standard in atlus games (yet p3r releases and you cant even skip all out attacks)
I wish this on Switch. I'd like to play it, but I don't want to play a game like this on anything that isn't mobile and convenient. There's a reason SMT IV was on 3DS. >< Hope everyone else enjoys it though.
"third pillar" i don't know, but it does indeed feel like a very dedicated move from atlus : make a "traditionnal jrpg" with the megaten flair.... and that's where the problem lies for me. i don't like "traditionnal" jrpgs. i like dungeon crawlers, monster tamers, i like numbers in my role playing experience, something *other* than the story to keep me active. soul hackers 2 doesn't have that. it feels incredibly boring to me (note that i didn't say "bland"), and i found its battle system completely stale. barren, even. it's just....well, not for me. i certainly wouldn't say it's "bad", but, horrible misuse of the name nonewithstanding (i still can't fathom why they felt they needed to revive soul hackers to, y'know, *not* make soul hackers with it, *none* of the mechanics of the original games are in this one, and cameoing madame ginko isn't enough), it lacks what i look for in a megaten game : building teams of demons, navigating tricky dungeons, and crunching numbers. it's sad, too, because i really like the aestethics. 2022 cyberpunk shouldn't look like 1995 cyberpunk, and they absolutely nailed what i imagine a cyberpunk version of modern internet to be. ....also, yes, i'm certain i would like it more if it was on vita. it really feels like it could gain from a "15 minutes at a time" rhythm of play. the shop/dungeon/safehouse gameplay loop seems appropriate, too.
Outside of the lost numbers dlc I have no interest in any of the dlcs and hearing that it's pretty complete according to reviews even that's seemingly minor and the character looks uninteresting
I will be honest... I dont like soul hackers (the original one) There are good things in the game, but i really feel dissapointed with the game. (And I ask why there's ppl comparing sh2 with sh1 like wtf) I WANT to play soul hackers 2, i felt a little excited about this game. And i will play it... When i have a good computer lmao
when will we see that comparison between the film, and the megaten game? or how that digimon game and the megaten game are both the same? you know the projects you said you'd tackle in your last "selling you on" playlist? after you explained the last megaten game? you channel is fully focused on megaten games, also btw ... i am skipping this game; a camera that is married to a character's butt. will only make me vomit nonstop. "i have a mental self-defense mechanism to protect me from TRASHY sights via stomach pain triggering" thus anything my brain registers as "disgusting" instantly triggers vomiting. and what is the most disgusting sight around the net nowadays? twerking, butts, jack-sht poses, tanning, piercings, etc. my stomach grew too much sensitive from the times i projectile vomited.

Gotta say the story is kinda lame, "oh, you're dead? Lemme pull off some disney magic and just... hack your soul back to life" like, what? thats not even sci-fi logical
I hoped the fast forward feature would become a standard in atlus games (yet p3r releases and you cant even skip all out attacks)
I wish this on Switch. I'd like to play it, but I don't want to play a game like this on anything that isn't mobile and convenient. There's a reason SMT IV was on 3DS. ><
Hope everyone else enjoys it though.
Steam deck. :P
Steam Deck is a mobile device you know.
I like the style but i hate how they butchered gomaden theme like cmon.
I’m just gonna wait for this game to go on sale. From what I’m seeing it doesn’t look appealing enough for me
No I played the game just an hour ago I advice everyone to get it it’s very good game
This is what I've heard. Same basic dungeon design and demons aren't nearly as important as they should be
"third pillar" i don't know, but it does indeed feel like a very dedicated move from atlus : make a "traditionnal jrpg" with the megaten flair....
and that's where the problem lies for me. i don't like "traditionnal" jrpgs. i like dungeon crawlers, monster tamers, i like numbers in my role playing experience, something *other* than the story to keep me active. soul hackers 2 doesn't have that. it feels incredibly boring to me (note that i didn't say "bland"), and i found its battle system completely stale. barren, even. it's just....well, not for me. i certainly wouldn't say it's "bad", but, horrible misuse of the name nonewithstanding (i still can't fathom why they felt they needed to revive soul hackers to, y'know, *not* make soul hackers with it, *none* of the mechanics of the original games are in this one, and cameoing madame ginko isn't enough), it lacks what i look for in a megaten game : building teams of demons, navigating tricky dungeons, and crunching numbers. it's sad, too, because i really like the aestethics.
But do they even release stuff on vita anymore, could it even handle the game?
SMT V soundtrack was bad but story was great. But I loved all of soul hackers 2
*Etrian Odyssey Nexus not Exodus
Outside of the lost numbers dlc I have no interest in any of the dlcs and hearing that it's pretty complete according to reviews even that's seemingly minor and the character looks uninteresting
as u see not all atlus game should be like p5,they all have their unik
isnt it a lil to early for the review though?
Early access code.
ah, saw you change the thumbnail. didn't want to misrepresent your own opinion though, gotcha
I like It...but I like a lot More smt v
Spoilers!!!!! Beware!!!!
Wow what a thumbnail to sell the game
Lol it looks like Cyber Sleuths with a Persona skin.
I will be honest... I dont like soul hackers (the original one)
There are good things in the game, but i really feel dissapointed with the game. (And I ask why there's ppl comparing sh2 with sh1 like wtf)
I WANT to play soul hackers 2, i felt a little excited about this game. And i will play it... When i have a good computer lmao
Majority says the game is shit and a disappointment after watching other reviews if I do buy it, it will be years later on sale
I’m still playing Xenoblade 3 and I can’t get soul hack out of my head. If you know you know
when will we see that comparison between the film, and the megaten game? or how that digimon game and the megaten game are both the same?
you know the projects you said you'd tackle in your last "selling you on" playlist? after you explained the last megaten game?
you channel is fully focused on megaten games, also btw ... i am skipping this game; a camera that is married to a character's butt. will only make me vomit nonstop.
What the literal fuck is this comment
camera adjustment is default part of the game now
In regards to your last comment, If it ain't broke don't fix it. Atlus doesn't really need to do anything
Fiiiirst
trading having standards for potential review copies.
it's a good game
the game is just boring as hell, there's not even a bit ideas or content that makes me feel creativly down,5hours in and I'm sleeping like a pig
SH2 is mind numblingly boring and cheaply made. don't get famoosed by atlus nostalgia baiting
Did u play it
@@chloewinnaa1515 yeah i played about 60 hours and it was incredibly boring. the only reason i stuck it out is because i really liked the first game but the dungeons are literally a chore
What's with this ugly neon aesthetic in every game nowadays? I really hate it.
Bright neon is kinda part of the whole cyberpunk aesthetic.
@@sorawild33 Destiny 2, Saints Row (2022), Far Cry: New Dawn, Dying Light 2, etc. It's common even in titles that aren't necessarily cyberpunk-adjacent in nature. It's the ugliest thing and in so many indie titles and leaking over to AAA. Look at Destiny 2: Lightfall... It looks like a Chinese company attempting a mobile clone of Destiny 2.
@@perfidious333 Well... at least with the Devil Summoner series cyberpunk is expected and not just thrown in. I do find it interesting how modern this game looks while the others are either in the 1990’s or 1930’s.
@@sorawild33 there's a difference between a neon sign and a gross nft jacket
@@angellara7040 I dont think you know what an NFT is
