I don't think I'd be against it getting a rerelease, especially if they do a massive overhaul of the game, but I'm not clamoring for it like I was for smt 5 since I really loved everything but the story and its coming to other platforms so we have it running better than before.
tbh I'd be down for a soul hackers 2 re-release, though as you said the gameplay and narrative wasnt amazing, i thought the characters really stood out with Ringo being a real stand out for atlus MCs. That and I'm a huge fan of the general vibe that the Devil Summoner games carry.
I would expect a rerelease but not right now. Probably a couple more years from now. Radiant Historia and TMS both sold poorly and got a rerelease years later.
I would love to see it get a second chance but they would need to change a lot of stuff. It's a shame I love what they did with SH2 on a surface level, from the characters to the feel of the story, but completely fail executing it right.
I loved this game despite it's flaws and I would love a re-release of it, that said I think Atlus and everyone else have already wrote it off as subpar and missed the mark, so I'm very doubtful of it getting a re-release.
I followed closely its 2022 release but haven't been able to play it. I read and watched many reviews since then and all coincide: it's not a bad game, but it's far from being good. That said, there's something in my weeb brain that has a weak spot for good anime-ish artstyle and this game has it. I might as well call myself a Ringo simp, and I really want to play it, re-release or not.
I mean, we know that P3Reload is coming to the Switch's successor & it'll likely be the definitive version with the Episode Aigis DLC (+everything else that came with it) & perhaps some more content on top of that Doesn't that count as a potential re-release even tho it's also a port ? Same thing will probably happen with Metaphor : ReFantazio imo
I get what you mean. But in the context of the usual Atlus rerelease with new content and whatnot, it is not my intention to refer to it in the same way. P3R with all dlc is more of just a complete edition of a game than an actual rerelease on the usual atlus scale where you cant get the new stuff without buying the game in full again. If you get what I mean.
I disagree, I want rereleases to continue because I want a physical complete edition of the game, I don’t want dlc content to be locked to only digital, so even if they move the direction of dlc I also want to see the option being given to buy the complete physical edition for collectors like myself who want the additional content on the disc or cartridge
I could see that working out in some form actually. But it would definitely be a bit harder to write that out compared to Vengeance since SMT V's original story was kind of barebones where as I think Soul Hackers 2 has a pretty hefty amount of plot points that can't really be changed easily. But then again, writers can always find a way if they want.
completely redo the story, leave out figs obsession's over the main villain and stick to the overall plot. what was the thing the og mask guy was trying to summon? dont let fig highjack the damn story.
I really liked soul hackers. It just felt like an "in between" game. It didn't get the attention other SMT games get. I wish it got more attention from the devs.
Since it’s already on PS5 with an update patch and DLC, I doubt it will get a rerelease. I don’t think the game really hit that popularity mark to warrant it sadly.
i did not really enjoy my time with soul hackers 2, i think unless it got a major rework it's just not worth it to make a re-release. wouldnt be surprised if atlus pulled an atlus and did re-release it tho.
Soul hackers 2 was a complete flop in regards to sale, they arn’t going to rerelease a game that failed really badly, although I’ll be surprised if it does.

I still need to play this ;;;;;
Even when people say it's not that good, i still have to play it to check it out
Think it's inevitable.

I enjoyed the game although not as much as SMTV. I could see it being re-released for the Switch successor.
It's the one game that needs it

My big issue with Soul Hackers 2 was that I felt like I was playing a mobile game on console.
DLCs or Re-releases? they are doing both.
I wonder if this gaming doing a new separate story with the original story like Vengeance would work.

It desperately needs a re release it felt so barebones for content

I would rather just see a soul hackers 3 tbh. Sh2 was overall very dull especially the utterly dull dungeon design
