"THAT" was better than an I Love Lucy episode. 🤣🤣
Hahaha
Be sure to use stainless steel brush to clean the base metal, as mild steel brush will contaminate and reduce the bonding of the aluminum.
That is just too dang cool man! Thanks for all of the great ideas!
I ALWAYS pick up something great from your channel! Keep up the great work, Buddy!
Man as always thats awesome, keep the good ideas coming. I've already started building several of you're ideas to put on my boat.
Thanks for making the metal projects more accessible to us!
Nicely done! I’m going to try this one myself. Excellent! Thanks for putting this video out there!
Some of your how to have helped me so much thanks for all the stuff the rod holder work great! Thanks!😁

I was just thinking how I can make some more sand spikes for the beach when I’m surf fishing definitely going to try this for sure. That’s Awesome
Another fun and useful project. Thank you!
That was better than any rod holder I've seen. Going to give it a try. Thanks for the tip!!
Awesome! You just gave me an idea on a rod holder that I’ve been working on. 🍻🍻
I really like this. I’ve been trying to think of a way to do something like this. Awesome buddy. Thanks for sharing.
Kick ass segment, was gonna make a couple addons for my boat and this viewing changed the game for me. Thanxamill
I love all of your diy project ideas! Looks like I'm building some rod holders this weekend lol!
Lmbo thanks buddy
That looks like a excellent rod holder
I enjoy the heck out of your videos. I was unaware of the aluminum brazing rods until now. Now I gotta get to work on some ideas I have. Thanks
Thank you Sir
I’m trying to come up with something for my little boat. I like them locking ones that have a base you can take top holder out. Now I’m going to check your video for something now
Thanks for another great video. I got me some aluminum rods a few months ago. Haven’t played with them yet. Video was very helpful. Good looking rod holder.
Getting ready to build these ..great job
Another spectacular dyi . Brother u got it down , wish i was half as handy as u r . And thank u for sharing all ur wonderful ideas here on UA-cam . U da man 👏👍👏🖒👏
Awesome rod holder. Thanks for the great idea. Take care.
Awesome idea!! Thanks for the video!! I can’t believe the bond you got with the brazing. I’m going to try that when I make my next kayak cart!
Good idea
really do enjoy your diys. keep em coming
Wow! Impressive! Im getting some of those rods.
Another Awesome DIY!
Awesome video man! Good idea on that. Always great to watch your ideas. I made one similar but instead of braising it. I used my grinder to grind a flat spot in the edge of the aluminum angle and drilled a hole and put a bolt through it towards the bottom of this pipe and it acted as a rod stop as well. I used PVC for the pipe. Wish I could include a picture for better reference.
Buddie I just want to thank you for showing us that want and need these ....I'm going to tractor supply right now and thanks again buddy...
That done the ticket good stuff and well executed. Handy rods for just have lying around in tool box
👍👍👍😜🏴🦄🎣😁🤞✌️
Cool stuff. You have some great ideas.
That Hobart stuff seems tough as all get out! What a game changer that stuff could be for aluminum kayak mods. Great video as always Keith. God bless bud.
Its pretty cool . I appreciate it brother
Very informative AND entertinng! Keep up the good work.
Awesome idea . I think I'll try to make a rod holders for my Jeep. Thank you brother. Be safe.
You too
Dude that’s awesome! That stuff works great!
I’ve decided that I NEED a video of nothing but you trying to break stuff!!!!!!!! I will definitely have to try the aluminum braising. Great vid as always!!!
Lol
My wife hates your videos. She always says you give me too many ideas lol.
Neat project my friend! Now anyone has the ability to build these rod holders. I was skeptical of that aluminum brazing stuff, before watching your video.
Great video! I'm gonna use this technique to make a rod holder for my bike.
Love it!! Getting too cold up here to wear my t-shirt, guess I’ll have to hit ETSY for some new swag!!
Now that there is the perfect rod holder really like it. And yes that's a small area to tap in the ground. Keep a 2x4 can use to help get in the ground by hitting the hammer int the 2x4 won't hurt the rod holder or blackness on it. But A++ on this thanks for sharing wish ide new this 20 or 30 years ago I could have helped so many people and made a few dollars maybe atlest get the money back for the material. Have a good week God bless
Good build on the pole holders. That's a great build. Geat Idea. I hop to build a few of those when I go surf fish. Great vidios.
Thank you Sir .
Man this build is what ???? AWESOME!!!
Haha
Not bad not bad at all, love your DIY Ideas and how you do it exactly 👍
I'm impressed awesome bro ima make mines soon
Turned out pretty good!
Time for me to try this out. Great ideal.
I was wondering when you were going to use a real hammer!!! Beat the snot out of the pipe and it would not come off, impressive , great ideas once again. Thank you Sir 👍 👍 🇨🇦
Best DIY I've seen in a long time
Thanks
And hope you are doing good
Thank you Sir for watching
That was AWESOME !!!! great video brother 👍👍👍we need at least one a week. I've got my brother inlaw hooked on ya now !
I'm sorry the holidays are kinda messed me up
Just what I was looking for. Great video, no Bullshit time wasting👍👌
Those aluminum brazing rods can be used to fix up old propellers. There's a video somewhere here on youtube showing how to do it. Basically if the tips of the prop ears are gone or get spanned off when bending back it can be fixed and the prop kept as a spare for just in case or reused full time if you do a really good job with the repair.
that really was pretty awesome...
im gonna try this out.
I'm impressed! Would have never thought it would have been that tuff.
I agree its not structural but its pretty dang strong
@@FishinNStuff I'm going to experiment with that stuff now. Wonder how well it will hold up under constant stress and would it be water tight
Nice to watch, gave me a few ideas 💡
This was great! Thanks for posting. Blessings from Ontario Canada.
Thank you Canada
@@FishinNStuff Lol... All I can think of is South Park with "Blame Canada" Lmao!
Very cool. Thanks for sharing
That was really nice ‼️‼️
Appreciate the beating video, now I understand how strong it is!
WAYLAY!!!! LOL I'm stealing that one from you brother 🤣 Thanks for the video
Perfect.....and by the way , i absolutely luv that metal work table 🙂
That's my weld table I built ive talked about it on the weld cart video I made
Now that's Awesome . I'm going get some of that stuff
I've got some of that stuff. Gonna try it
Love your work
Put t at bottom so you could just push it down like a shovel
I'm going to have to try this out
Pretty dang sweet!
I used to duck tape a piece of pvc pipe to a piece of rebar. Quick and easy. Also, if u let the rebar stick past the pvc a quarter inch you have a place to hammer it in the ground.
That is pretty awesome!!!!!!
That’s awesome!👍
Ta-Day that right there is awesome 😃
Lol
Great vid Fish n Stuff I enjoyed it Brother. Fish on!
That was epic!
Very cool been looking at those rods at harbor freight but didn't know how well they would work.
Go to tractor supply if you have one they work good and the melting points lower
Looks great tried that couple yrs ago didn`t go well but I see what it was
Dude your videos are awesome and entertaining
Thank you Sir
Great vid as always brother! 👊
Cleaning aluminum always brush in one direction, never back and forth or side to side. Pro tip.
Can you tell everyone that? Including cnc machinists, welders, etc? Cleaning is cleaning. We aren't trying to get some kind of specific grain. Cleaning is for a stronger bond, not for looks. Silly shit.
Regardless if it saves you money or not there is a definite sense of accomplishment when you build something you need yourself
I agree 100%
You done good on that braisin. She look real nice. Strong too!
Thank you im a rookie at it . I can weld but its a lot like soldering
You know how you say that that was awesome ? Well I'm telling you that you are awesome !!! You're awesome and one funny dude that just one of my reasons for subscribing , thank you for sharing Mr. Awesome .
Thank you very much , I really appreciate that ,,,,,,means a lot
You can me bring a couple of them to catcon! Lol! Nicely done bro
Awesome video
always a great diy that had me rolling watching you beat on that pipe but great video love it
I was shocked lol never did break the one lol
@@FishinNStuff didn't think you would but it was fun to watch thanks for showing the easy weld job
Excellent
You should add a foot peg to it then you can just push it into the ground with your foot.
Your right
That’s awesome!
Awesome!
Awesome as always Keith! 👍 Thank for stirring up some ideas. I have some of these rods for filling holes on an aluminum boat..worked great until I got the thin boat too hot on one and ended up with a quarter sized hole instead of the pin hole it was. Epoxy to the rescue!😑😂. I’m gonna make some custom trolling rod holders for it now. You were thinking of building a boat awhile back..anything ever come of that? Appreciate all you do brother! Best wishes and Happy holidays to ya! 🎣✌️
I haven't had time , working and UA-cam is tough man lol
Thank you,
Good stuff!
Like this DIY
Awesome!!!!
Just like all of your ideas, that is awesome! I was wondering if you have any ideas on how to build a pole transducer mount? Thanks for all the amazing videos!
I'll have to check em out closer
this is gonna work great and I'm gonna get me a couple built up.. thanks for testing out the braze rods so we don't have to..
I'd still do a little test . Seems to hold better if you get it really hot , but too hot makes it run to much
it reminds me a lil like oxy/acet welding.. gotta get the only the metal hot not the stick.. I figure if I move it like a stick welding rod and make nice fluid pool shapes it should hold really well.. that's kinda how your one that you couldn't break looked to me.. the other one ya put it on kinda like sauder and it got a bit melty on ya.. either way it's a great option for those of us who don't have or don't want to use a welder.. truly enjoy your channel bub, keep em coming..
@@Salty_JollyRoger sounds like you know what your doing
For little jobs that aren’t dependent on a fandangly weld that is an excellent way to join aluminium No more pop rivets
Maybe you could add some kind off holder for bait to? Awesome build and vid as always!
Cut the pipe in half long ways but leave 3" solid on the bottom. It still works the same but you dont have to pull the rod out the end of the pipe. Makes for a quicker hook set. You will need to weld something across the bottom to keep the rod from sliding down. I promise you will like it better
Ive found windex cleans up aluminum great to
