this is gold. thanks, wasn't planning on sculpting a hand but just the techniques and understanding of how things work both in app and anatomy is amazing.
She makes it look so easy
Really impressed how you observe every minute details of real life objects before sculpting👍
Thanks! It makes the job easier knowing the puzzle pieces. Guessing takes a long time when trying to create, reference is always your friend :)
This shows many of your great talents......analysis, planning, artistry and teaching skills. I didn’t think hands could be done so well in Nomad. Many thanks"
Amazing. You’re descriptions are well thought out.
Glad you think so :)
Cheers!
If you see this x3 Thank you so much for your awesome tutorials~ it helped me quite a lot. By any chances are you able to do a tutorials for how to make anime full body characters?
You’re so incredibly talented
Thank you kindly 😊
You are the master of shaping with the mask tool 😷 Another great tutorial!
Hahaha I'll take that title happily, maybe for my business cards!
Hey, I'd be happy to see your sculpt if you post them. Feel free to tag me on social media @ErikaCasab :)
Cheers!
@@SmallRobotStudio Thanks Erika, I’ll do that when I have something actually finished and I’ve mastered Nomad...could be a while. As a beginner I’m having two recurring issues, losing my point of symmetry and putting it back manually with the gizmo, the other is colouring my sculpt as I’d like it. PBR and Matcap seem to dramatically influence the colour you are trying to achieve. I need to go over your previous tutorials! 😂
@@Stressbreaker999 I'll look forward to what magical sculpts you are creating :D
Maybe for the symmetry if you move your geometry away from the center go into the symmetry menu and check Local instead of Global. It should automatically calculate with so you don't have to do it manually. The Gizmo as well if it is set (on the side buttons) to auto it should calculate the exact center of that geometry.
Matcaps will definitely affect your colors, the base color of the matcap is your 'white' any extra color is mixed with that with 'multiply' in brief it makes them darker and tinted. In case you are interested we made a bunch of MatCaps and I designed some for painting (white with subtle lights and shadows). We have the collection in our Gumroad and Patreon or you can try 3 for free in this link :D

@@SmallRobotStudio Thanks so much for the symmetry tip Erika. I’m enjoying your Procreate tips too, masks, alpha etc.
@@Stressbreaker999 Ah yay! I'm glad to hear so :D lol the illustration videos aren't as popular as Nomad unfortunately, so I'm super glad you watch them too! Cheers
Just starting with Nomad as of yesterday. Watching your sculpting process is very very very helpful :)
Yay! I hope you are enjoying the learning process :) Thanks a lot for the kind comment ❤
That was really helpful!! You’re an amazing artist thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks! Very easy to follow and probably the simplest tut for hands out here, even for zbrush/mudbox sculptors. Hashtags!
Aw thanks mate! I do hope more people besides Nomad users find it useful. Cheers!
This was extremely helpful, thank you!
I doubted that I could learn this much in 8 minutes!
Thank youQ i just found out your channel and its great for learning Nomad sculpt and sculpt in general!
Thanks for the nice comment :D
I'd love to hear your thoughts on what topics you want to see next!
@@SmallRobotStudio Well I would love to see some more character modeling.
I'm haveing problems making the inside of the mouth and teeth.
As I need to make a model that is able to emote and talk for an animation
@@Rinkyu that is a good idea I haven't tackled that topic with great detail.
I made a video on retopologizing a head. I brielfly talk about the inside or the eyes and mouth so they are animation ready. I made substractions for the cavity of the eyes, for the mouth I'd sculpt it slightly open and do the same to obtain an inside hollow.
I will add to the list a video dedicated to this topic but hopefully this other video can help.

You're lessons are so good. They can be applied to other softwares as well!
Just wow...explained so clearly 👏👌thank you very much!
Glad you think so Carlos! Cheers :D
Thank you very much, Liked and shared your video
You are very kind I super appreciate you taking the time to do so. I'd love to see your sculpts, feel free to tag me on social media if you post them :)

Amazing
AWESOME!!!!
Super detail thanks 😍😍😍
Aw thanks! :D
this tutorial will make what im making far easyier , ive managed to create finger but i used literally several different primitives and i didn't realize you could alter one end of a shape i think im in need of watching everything youve done on nomade
There's plenty of ways to achieve a result. When I recorded this Nomad didn't have the Tube Tool. That's probably what I'd do now instead of the cylinders
You did a grate job!! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!! Truly appreciated :D
That really helps a lot! Thank you!
Glad to hear so. Cheers mate :D
Great tutorial.
Brilliant
I just purchased the file hoping it would outline the steps though Im still having issues. When you are boxing the sphere how do you outline it so it boxes symmetrically? I can lower the resolution though my sphere is more of a pizza slice instead of how yours looks, even when going super slow I cant seem to do what your doing or even figure out how you are doing it
Wow, q well made tutorial and you describe what you are doing with animated visual references.
I can't watch this and tut tut my favourite Adobe medium program not having selections
I love your videos, I follow your tutorial but you know why my cube has tris instead of quad?
Thank you sooooo mmmuuch 🙏🏻🌿✨✨✨✨
Hey can you please do a video on the settings you were using to make the hand I had some trouble finding you but still love your work sorry for the bug 😅
Hello Erika! You could post a video about using alphas and the triplanar tool!
Count on it!
What if you want it in the head? Is it the blender app?
I am afraid I didn't understand. Could you rephrase your question? :)
amazing video thanks!
Really appreciate it :)
Cheers mate!!!
a full body please!!!😊
Very helpful.
Cheers mate! :)
Can you do one on the full body? legs+abdomen+torax? thank you so much!
Is this hand that be in end 🔚?
Can you duplicate the mirrored image of that hand, or do you need to create the other hand all over again?
Yep, you can always duplicate the base hand and save time.
Can you point me how to adjust wire scale?
Love you from Myanmar❤❤🇲🇲
What the program is it?
Nomad Sculpt!
How are the vrease so smooth.... Mine alwasy have blocky appearnce
nice !
Great video! Could you please make a tutorial on how to sculpt hair?
Will do! I'll start working on it soon :)
nice
Cheers mate :D
❤❤
After I voxel merge it I can barely smooth it anymore :(
Yep. High topology is not easy to smooth. Turn on dynamic topology, its the best way to do detail and simplify for smoothinf
@@SmallRobotStudio thank you!
I can’t tell how you bent the palm inwards using the mask tool. I’m new to this, and you went through that part kinda fast LOL. It’s a great video though
I made a mask of only the very center vertices, then I inverted it, blurred it and then moved them with the Gizmo. I used the mask shortcuts for those actions, but in the top right under the selected tools settings there are buttons to do the same thing. I also review them in my masking video: ua-cam.com/video/WcCqmm8az-0/v-deo.html
@@SmallRobotStudio Thanks for the help!
Very good job, can you slow it down and explain more of what you are doing. I'm very new trying to make a hand and you go way to fast for a complete new person.
Thanks. Check out our beginner tutorials to get familiar with the software. We also have plenty explaining each tool in the software.
I’m suffered from CTS too :’(
Now i can make my own model to flip people off with! 😂😂
Hehehe you have the power
Whenever you do a feet tutorial, I will be extremely grateful 😭
Thank you for sharing this. Hopefully it doesn't look like a french fries now when I do it 😂
Lol don't be discouraged if the first attempt is weird, I practice several times before recording a tutorial. The first attempts usually looks like nigjtmare material xD
Can you pleas make a 🐻 so so great !!!!! Thanks
Nice idea! I'll add it to the list
Please sculpt tree
You make look so easy but you dont show anything about how to do low resolution after trim and keep those low poly. I would like to ask do you do tutorials for yourself or for people to learn?? After trim cut I have totally have under poly look and I cannot reach it with decimate or remesh and you are not even shortly speak about that..
lol the middle finger thumbnail
No spek inglis 😔💔
I think you mean carpals and metacarpals not carpal tunnel as that's a medical condition.
The Carpal Tunnel is the passage surrounded by the carpal bones. The medical condition triggered by the inflamation of the tendons that travel through that cavity is known as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It is coloquially refered only as Carpal Tunnel. I used the Britannica online and Eliot Goldfinger's Human Anatomy book as references in case you want to check them.
:)
@@SmallRobotStudio I stand corrected
please make with another language
your going way too fast
Videos can be set to a lower speed :D
