Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj's teachings were based on the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, which emphasizes non-duality and the oneness of reality. He often advised seekers to focus on the sense of "I am" or the feeling of presence as a means to realize their true nature. While he didn't prescribe specific practices or techniques, some key points from his teachings can be summarized as follows: Focus on the sense of "I am": Maharaj encouraged seekers to pay attention to the sense of beingness or existence that is present in all of us. This sense of "I am" is the primary experience of consciousness. Be aware of awareness itself: The essential practice was to become aware of awareness itself. Instead of getting entangled in the content of thoughts and experiences, observe the pure awareness in which all phenomena arise. Let go of identification with the body-mind: Maharaj taught that we are not the body or the mind, but the formless awareness beyond these temporary manifestations. By disentangling from identification with the body-mind, true self-realization can be attained. Stay in the state of "I am": Prolonged and consistent focus on the feeling of presence leads to a state where one abides in the sense of "I am" without getting attached to thoughts, emotions, or external phenomena. Guru's guidance: Maharaj often stressed the importance of finding a realized teacher or guru who can guide the seeker in their journey towards self-realization. Surrender and detachment: Letting go of attachments and desires can aid in the process of realizing the true nature of oneself as pure awareness. Self-inquiry: Maharaj advocated for self-inquiry, wherein one questions the nature of their own existence and seeks to discover the source of "I am." It's important to note that while Maharaj's teachings offer valuable insights, the spiritual journey is unique to each individual. His realization within three years of practice is specific to his own path and may not be the same for everyone. Spiritual progress can vary widely, and there's no fixed timeline for self-realization. Regarding the specific details of his personal practice, Maharaj didn't provide a comprehensive step-by-step account of what he did during those three years. His teachings emphasize understanding the principles of non-duality and self-inquiry rather than focusing on a prescribed method. Remember, it's crucial to approach any spiritual path with an open mind and find what resonates with your own inner truth and intuition. Seek guidance from wise teachers, study various spiritual texts, and practice self-inquiry with sincerity and dedication. The journey towards self-realization is an ongoing process, and each step is valuable in its own right.

Nisagardatta has the best explanations of non- duality. But I still people cant do it that way, they need to declutter the ego first and expand counsciuousness little by little. But maybe this is also what you are going with this teaching?
You cannot. Because one cannot separate activity from 'I am', any activity is just a modulation or expression of pure conciouness or 'I am', thats why Sri Nisargadatta used to say " in spite of my busy daily activity of earning my livelyhood , whenever possible,I used to find spare time to stay in the 'I am' ". We have to just flow with activity and whenever we take a pause just recognise 'I am'.🙏
Nisargadatta too had his family too feed and business to run that kept food on his table. So whenever he used to find some spare time from his busy daily routine , he practiced 'staying in the I am '. What it simply means is whenever you do any activity please go ahead and just do it ' I am' just seems to go in background .🙏
Personally I have no experience of chanting. But Nisargadatta recommended chanting with devotion. If you resonate with 'I am' then you should give it a try. It all depends on ones' temperament and personality type.
What about someone who is the only caretaker of a paralysed sibling. Who wants to do what gives inner peace, but is unable to do anything because of the responsibilities suddenly thrust on. Please Advise 🙏🏼
Noted your life situation. Yes,its very challenging and causing you much pain and suffering. We have only two options either change the situation or accept it and try to make best out of it. In both cases find little spare time and continue your 'I am' mediitation. This will give you some peace and relaxation. Wish you well. 🙏🙏🙏
Why the background music??!! Explaining and talking does not do it as for most people it's purely an intellectual understanding..and people think they gained something but the glow.. . hit they get has no shelf life. It's no different to listening to a motivational speaker....so Tom Das silence is the best teacher if you can make it your bed partners so to speak, and not run away into intellectual discussion and hence entertainment...
If you love the same video without music here is the link ua-cam.com/video/i0ZJOvtAiCk/v-deo.html As far as rest of the comment it speaks of your conditioning. This channel is for people who are seriously interested in knowing their true nature. And intent is not entertainment at all. If you think otherwise , please find better options elsewhere which suits your temperament. Thanks for yoir. comment.🙏

Why ruin a good talk with stupid, distracting music? I mean, the music is merely another object, the whole pointbof which is to suck consciousness into identification with it. Hello….

Guru's guidance: Maharaj often stressed the importance of finding a realized teacher or guru who can guide the seeker in their journey towards self-realization.
Surrender and detachment: Letting go of attachments and desires can aid in the process of realizing the true nature of oneself as pure awareness.
Self-inquiry: Maharaj advocated for self-inquiry, wherein one questions the nature of their own existence and seeks to discover the source of "I am."

He keeps saying "Just be with time"?
In a sense you are right, when you rest in I am, you are in time, present moment, in the here and now.

17:43. CRITICAL Shifting “I am “ states from gross to the subtlest subjective state
True 🙏
First of all figure out what is the "I am " which Nisarga Dutta Maharaj refers to
Telugu meaning bro
How I study or do some work if I stay in " I am " please answer this
Nisargadatta too had his family too feed and business to run that kept food on his table. So whenever he used to find some spare time from his busy daily routine , he practiced 'staying in the I am '. What it simply means is whenever you do any activity please go ahead and just do it ' I am' just seems to go in background .🙏
☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️🌿🌼🌿🌼🌈🌈🌈🥨✨🥰🙇♀️
I am glad that you liked these sayings.
Is it okay to chant I am?
Personally I have no experience of chanting. But Nisargadatta recommended chanting with devotion. If you resonate with 'I am' then you should give it a try. It all depends on ones' temperament and personality type.
What about someone who is the only caretaker of a paralysed sibling. Who wants to do what gives inner peace, but is unable to do anything because of the responsibilities suddenly thrust on. Please
Advise 🙏🏼
Noted your life situation. Yes,its very challenging and causing you much pain and suffering.
We have only two options
either change the situation
or
accept it and try to make best out of it.

As far as rest of the comment it speaks of your conditioning. This channel is for people who are seriously interested in knowing their true nature. And intent is not entertainment at all. If you think otherwise , please find better options elsewhere which suits your temperament. Thanks for yoir. comment.🙏
The music is unnecessary, in fact it is a distraction.

Stay in the I am ,don't get distracted
Don't try to tweak the great Master's words. Maharaj is clear as crystal . Sadhana is difficult and a long process and trying to make it easy will never work.
Many thanks for your most valuable suggestion from the advanced seeker like you. We take utmost care in maintaining the authenticity and purity of Maharaj's teaching. If you have found any specific changes from the original ,please let us know. This particular content was taken from Tom Das with permission. He is a devotee of Ramana. We liked the emphasis on Sadhana that's why we chose the content.

Why ruin a good talk with stupid, distracting music? I mean, the music is merely another object, the whole pointbof which is to suck consciousness into identification with it. Hello….
Do you think so, so let me plan same video with more gaps without music. Thanks for your suggestion.
I don't thing the music is the problem. You are!
@@sentientexplorer It is hurtful not to be.
Try this:
Fill your bag with only what you are like water flowing through and colours giving your picture brilliance.
Leave all thinks and things you can not use or need untouched for others: other lifes, future yous, past yous.
Don’t carry the whole shop! Do not complain just by passing by the goods that were placed by yesterday and tomorrow needs.
Only react to what you love.
Only react to what you are now.
Be love.
Rest in a warm hearty smile and feel your body carry you from bliss to bliss and bathe your light in light and grow whatever you smile at.
Be what you seek
Enjoy
🥨
Your brain is self programming.
Give it a clear direction: smile and smile causes are shown
Bend to pick up beauty instead of what you are doing now: collecting problems in order to suffer
Can you hear me wishing you health?
Love from your past and future I: time to be present
Calming others for helping
Calming self for healing
Stay calm
All is well
Row row row your boat
Gently down the stream
Merrily merrily merrily merrily
Life is but a dream
Glow glow glow your light
Gently in this world
Merrily merrily merrily merrily
What is said is heard
Be first
Then meet from other perspective
Do not mistake the perspective for the real.
Allow perspectives to be fragtals, incomplete, seemingly unsatisfactory.
They are perspectives. A rainbow is no sunshine. A rainbow is no rain. A rainbow is no earth. A rainbow is no space.
But would you ever again suffer from the confusion that produces such incomplete illusionary impression like 🌈?
Do you really wish to walk your own beauty blaming the parts?
There is emotion in your body by the names you choose. Your choice -> your reaction --> your hormons --> your body --> your next choice
The direction of your path is corrected by your own wish: stop know calm smile walk new direction
Feel earth kiss your foot
Feel your foot kiss earth
Walk love
Take if useful
Leave for other days if not needed now

@@srinisargadatta Thanks for reading my post and your reply. I apologize if my post was too negative. I actually thought that nobody actually reads my comments, and I often post as a sort of “ venting”. But I do appreciate the time and thoughtfulness that you put in to posting such a video, music or no music.
Can't understand a word he says
Need better English pronunciation!
Thanks for your suggestion. I know I have a heavy Indian accent , to be more specific a Marathi accent ( the language Nisargadatta used to speak). I wanted to be authentic and not sound like pure English or British. If you have any specific suggestions for improvement please let me know. I will try to improve.
Many thanks.🙏
Unfortunately that's the only way that people from my side of the world would understand you, I believe. I'll try to find this somewhere else in English, as this is too important for me to not be able to interpret what's being said. Thanks!

I LOVE the authentic accent. Sometimes following the transcript can be helpful too for reading what is being said.
