Todays music has no feeling, no depth, everything is automated and commercialized. I could be a crooner today with autotune Lol, I can just see it now.
This song is like sleeping on silk sheets. Motown had some great music, and our generation had the best music! Great song, great reaction. Class of '77✌
back when bands and artists actually needed talent to make music to just exist in the industry. they actually played their own instruments and wrote their own music and did it all at a top level. without any artificial help.
funny that around the time this song dropped the first digital computer music workstations were coming out, very expensive they were though, not everyone could afford them,90's is when software produced music really exploded, because it became a lot cheaper, and seem like the bands started dissapearing too
I grew up with the 70s Commodores and then 80s Lionel Ritchie in my teenage years. But it's their 70s hits that hit harder for me and remind me of my childhood summer camp dances and my elementary school days. Especially this one and Easy Like A Sunday Morning and Brickhouse. Born in 68 so this is my childhood right here.
This is what's it all about man. Pure raw talent. Everybody sings their parts and people actually played their instruments. Thanks Jaycee for your respect and reactions and check out Lady by these guys.😍😉
Love watching your reactions - especially when it's a song I love "Love the Commodors"- and I'm like just wait for it...then the song builds to the chorus and I just know you're going to love it even more. Love the big smiles. Keep on enjoying this great music!!!
There is no rap or hip-hop that can hold a candle to this. Real musicians with real soul. Props to you bro for learning what real music is. Something that has been missing for decades.
Yes!!! Beautiful music. "Brick House" is danceable funk. Also check out "Zoom" and "Sweet Love." I think the music from this era is SO GOOD because they were true musicians and singers, (many sang in church/and or were exposed to jazz), I also think that being in a band requires collaboration, so the final project is richer.
Ahhhh..the great Commodores..another fantastic band I listened to in my teens..Sail on being one of my favs.. and yes..Brick House..that will really get you moving ! Love how you listen intently on every sound..
Love your reaction, thanks so much. I hope you younger people hear! that what makes older music so good is the use of a real guitar bass, drums, horns. And in even older music : strings. They play a huge part in getting that good feeling and vibe. Mind you: i'm old but i'm still rocking and grooving out to new shit. Love your reactions. Peace! 🤘🎵😃
I'm having so much fun watching you discover the songs that comprised the soundtrack of my childhood. I graduated high school in 1976. Now that you're familiar with this music, I bet you'll be recognizing it playing in the background at the grocery store. I've been surprised by the longevity of the songs of the 70s.
This and their song "Oh No" are my favorites and both always give me goose bumps! I am a month away from being 50 and beyond thankful for growing up when I did, in relation to what music I was exposed to, throughout my life.
I grew up with this music and without fail, every song that you truly appreciate, like this one, was my favorite song when it came out. Sail on was playing over the speakers during my 9th-grade gymnastics practice when my boyfriend walked in to tell me he was moving to another state. Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of that.
nothing can compare to the commodores. lionel and co. at their feel good finest. bought this vinyl when it first came out and still have it in flawless condition.one of the prizes of my collection along with earth wind and fire
Such a great song. Have listened to it countless times and like you, I hate when it abruptly ends. Just when you’re really gettin in the groove. Brickhouse is great also. Anything Lionel Richey is worth many listens. Love your genuine enjoyment and appreciation of this incredible music.
"You know it ain't so hard to say, would you please just go away!" One of the greatest break up lines from one of the greatest break up songs ever written!
It cracks me up with absolute joy that you enjoy easy listening and yacht rock so much. It's just so incongruous that it just makes me love you that much more. You're so open minded to so many genres- your momma did good, man! Thank you so much for the reactions- they make my day!
I really like your channel, and how open you are to all kinds of music. You know, half of your audience is folks like you discovering great classics - and the other half is old farts like me so happy to introduce you to our favorites!
This is my favourite song by The Commodores! It’s so beautiful to listen to. Completely flawless. Lionel Richie is good on his own but this totally blows my socks off and hairs stand up when he’s with this group the Commodores
The boys from Tuskegee are awesome, always have been, they faded away and deserved a lot more appreciation, even I only have 1 disc in my collection, need to do something about that.
Seeing Lionel playing the piano and sing this song was fantastic! The Commodores were a great group in concert! And yes there is a lot more of this song.
Thanks for this reaction, just love love the the Commodores, Lionel Richie has the most beautiful voice! Need to check out Earth, Wind and Fire another amazing band from this era!
Two weeks ago?! Ohhh, sorry I missed it the "day of." Love The Commodores. 💜🎶 These days we can loop our music and I would def do that for this song. 😉
You do such a great job of reacting to this fabulous music. I’m enjoying all I can find of yours on my TV. Often, I forget to comment on my iPhone. Just know that I’m searching and watching and liking on TV. 😊
It did end too soon, the LP version is longer. While it's chill to see the Music Videos, they're almost always the shortened Radio Edits of the songs. When you search for songs, check the length; it'll give you a clue about edited songs. 😉😁 There are two Lead Singers in The Commodores. Lionel shares that duty with the drummer, Mr. Walter Orange as you will see when you listen to, Brick House. 👍🏼
Music in this era so magic. Love 💝 the commodores. I grew up listening to these guys. I am getting ready eyed. I appreciate you listening to this music. You are a great utuber. Listen to once times three times a lady. It will bring tears to your eyes.
Cannot go wrong on the commodores all their songs will move you they have a lot of hits to many to name that’s Lionel singing Lead you on spot tonight 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰love it
Thanks for taking my/our suggestion........and yes! Try Brick House!!!!! It is probably their single most "Iconic" song. In fact you've probably heard it before.
I appreciate that you now understand why those of us in our 40's, 50's and 60's say we had THE BEST music ever. We really did, right?
Quite agree
We totally did, what a great time to be young, I'm nearly 55 and the 70s and 80s are my decades
We did.
Todays music has no feeling, no depth, everything is automated and commercialized.
I could be a crooner today with autotune Lol, I can just see it now.
Yes we did.

He doesn't age.
I saw him just a few years ago, and he was still amazing.

The Best Divorce song I've ever heard.
There is also"when did you stop loving me when did i stop loving you" de Marvin Gaye.
Beautiful but much more depressing than "Sail on"
I must say I was fortunate to live In the Era of awesome musical geniuses! Yes, I'll take songs from the late 60s, 70, 80s any day!
George Benson's On Broadway, and Give me the Night will blow you away.
one of the greatest break up songs! sung so sweetly!
The Commodores so smooth and I loved this song! heartbreaking though 😞
Absolutely love this song....I have it on my own play list
This is what's it all about man. Pure raw talent. Everybody sings their parts and people actually played their instruments. Thanks Jaycee for your respect and reactions and check out Lady by these guys.😍😉
I loved The Commodores too....you are playing all great ones 😊
Love watching your reactions - especially when it's a song I love "Love the Commodors"- and I'm like just wait for it...then the song builds to the chorus and I just know you're going to love it even more. Love the big smiles. Keep on enjoying this great music!!!
Such a great deep song Jay. No autotune just heart.
Love it! This music takes me back to my childhood in the 70's, when you can count on hearing it on the radio.
There is no rap or hip-hop that can hold a candle to this. Real musicians with real soul. Props to you bro for learning what real music is. Something that has been missing for decades.

Ahhhh..the great Commodores..another fantastic band I listened to in my teens..Sail on being one of my favs.. and yes..Brick House..that will really get you moving ! Love how you listen intently on every sound..
Almost nothing better than growing up in the 70s with our music!
In my 70's I think my generation lived through the best musicians and singers in the 50's 60's and 70's. This one being in my top 10.
Yes, the Commodores were amazing and HUGE. My favorite Commodores song is “Sweet Love.”
I’ve loved this song for nearly 40 years. I can’t believe songs from my youth still sound so good. Thank you Commodores xx
A simply superb and smooth song. Legendary group and vocals by Lionel!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love your reaction, thanks so much. I hope you younger people hear! that what makes older music so good is the use of a real guitar bass, drums, horns. And in even older music : strings.
