Height will always be a sensitive topic for me. I was very into basketball since I was 13 and had always been training so I could get in semi-professionally and get a scholarship. I noticed I was shorter than my peers and put all my focus into growing taller. I slept lots, ate so much food, even went for HGH injections. In the end, I failed. Before I get into this topic I would like to point out that I never complain about my height in the first place, neither I didn’t know height is an important factor in dating before the explosion of dating apps. I’m 5’5 and I have a very hard time to find a partner on dating apps and in real life. I try going to the gym and changing my diet to make myself more appealing towards women but women wouldn’t even want to go on a date with me because of my height. It’s okay that women prefer taller men as a preference when it comes to attractiveness just like us men have our own preferences with women but this made me feel like I’m not a human being and constantly being discriminated for my height. Not only affects me with dating but also making friends because the people I try to be friends with are usually taller than me and they don’t like being around with a short dude. Look at how much the average height has increased around the world, even in poorer developing countries. I want to give some insight, where i live... 5'5 (my height) is taller than 50% of men and 99% of women. This is much difference than USA, where 5'5 is only taller than 0.24% of men. That said, i'm currently still have a target for some sort of limb lengthening procedure. The main reason is for my own life security, being taller than 90-97% of men would definitely enhance my security when i'm going outside. I have a very bad experience with bullies and strangers, so deep down i feel the need to increase my height. Being more attractive and more career opportunity is also a nice benefit, but for me security is the number 1 benefit.
If you do limb lengthening, don't do the cheap surgeries that destroy your nerves. Go for the least damaging ones out there. They're expensive, but its better then decaying knees in your older years. Like the limb lengthening device.
I'm 5'11 (180 cm) and have considered getting limb lengthening surgery to correct this. It is quite expensive (at least $75k), painful and has a long recovery process. Not sure if it is really worth it. I was raised in Turkey and I don't remember the Turks being obsessed with height the way Americans are. I don't understand it, but it seems to be a phenomena primarily in the US and UK. Makes me thankful I was able to grow up in a society and experience a culture where a mans height doesn't determine his value.

I'm just under 6', 6" tall. I have not done all that well with women, and never made the slightest attempt at dating until age 30 (53 now). Both my height and my relatively unsuccessful dating efforts are rather well explained by my very late autism diagnosis, though (The height being very likely caused by Marfan's Syndrome, a genetic connective tissue disorder, and connective tissue disorders are HIGHLY correlated with autism).

A quick fix here for short guys here (I'm 5'6"), you're going to be pushed around your whole life. But luckily society today has created a more even ground for guys like us. (Even though height wasn't as big of a issue just 30 years ago. ) When you're going to get interviewed for a job, go online and you can buy these dresser shoes. I kid you not, they add over 4 inches height. I immediately become 5'10". You'll get paid more and you have a better chance to get in the job. In terms of women, the best women are the ones that don't care about height. I got really beautiful women just at my normal height. But get the more discreet and casual shoes that boost your height by 4 inches. It's a big game changer. I wouldn't recommend a girl that cares about height but it's your prerogative. I feel you man... I'm 17M 5'0. I used to be 5'0 when I was 12 and for some reason I have not grown at all during puberty. I'm extremely depressed because now I always wonder if I would've worried about my height earlier and could have taken HGH and potentially become around 5'5 at least. Eh, I'm 5'6" (close to 5'7") and never had any issues at all getting girls, and ones I was actually really attracted to, that I'd also say fit the societal definition of attractive (i.e., are in shape, etc.). I've dated girls that are: my height, shorter and taller. I've found personally, the really short ones are the least likely to want to date shorter men, which is funny because if they have kids with a 6ft+ guy, they could easily have a son under, even well under 6ft tall owing to their genetics, who they would consider not dating material.

Height will always be a sensitive topic for me. I was very into basketball since I was 13 and had always been training so I could get in semi-professionally and get a scholarship. I noticed I was shorter than my peers and put all my focus into growing taller. I slept lots, ate so much food, even went for HGH injections. In the end, I failed. By the time I was 18, I was 5'6, even then I was about 3 inches taller than my predicted adult height. Both my parents were really short.

Before I get into this topic I would like to point out that I never complain about my height in the first place, neither I didn’t know height is an important factor in dating before the explosion of dating apps. I’m 5’5 and I have a very hard time to find a partner on dating apps and in real life. I try going to the gym and changing my diet to make myself more appealing towards women but women wouldn’t even want to go on a date with me because of my height. It’s okay that women prefer taller men as a preference when it comes to attractiveness just like us men have our own preferences with women but this made me feel like I’m not a human being and constantly being discriminated for my height. Not only affects me with dating but also making friends because the people I try to be friends with are usually taller than me and they don’t like being around with a short dude. I want to give some insight, where i live... 5'5 (my height) is taller than 50% of men and 99% of women. This is much difference than USA, where 5'5 is only taller than 0.24% of men. That said, i'm currently still have a target for some sort of limb lengthening procedure. The main reason is for my own life security, being taller than 90-97% of men would definitely enhance my security when i'm going outside. I have a very bad experience with bullies and strangers, so deep down i feel the need to increase my height. Being more attractive and more career opportunity is also a nice benefit, but for me security is the number 1 benefit.

Not sure if it is really worth it. I was raised in Turkey and I don't remember the Turks being obsessed with height the way Americans are. I don't understand it, but it seems to be a phenomena primarily in the US and UK. Makes me thankful I was able to grow up in a society and experience a culture where a mans height doesn't determine his value.

A quick fix here for short guys here (I'm 5'6"), you're going to be pushed around your whole life. But luckily society today has created a more even ground for guys like us. (Even though height wasn't as big of a issue just 30 years ago. ) When you're going to get interviewed for a job, go online and you can buy these dresser shoes. I kid you not, they add over 4 inches height. I immediately become 5'10". You'll get paid more and you have a better chance to get in the job. In terms of women, the best women are the ones that don't care about height. I got really beautiful women just at my normal height. But get the more discreet and casual shoes that boost your height by 4 inches. It's a big game changer. I wouldn't recommend a girl that cares about height but it's your prerogative. Make sure to kind of keep the shoes on. Then take him off to see their true girls reaction. Either way have hope short kings. Just get the shoes. Life will be so much easier.

Wow shows you height isn’t the be all end all. But here’s the deal man, all the factors that contribute to smv can be developed except height… you have a gift. I realise now you’re a 6’6 social pariah who people are probably scared of but that can all change. You could literally transform yourself into an absolute Goliath unit who mogs absolutely everyone you come across. Build your physique, dress with style, groom yourself well, and fix your personality issues. You genuinely have an opportunity that I and most guys will never have.
If you’re not happy with your face, fixing your posture and getting lean will make a massive difference, and whatever problems still remain will be compensated for by your height. You can still fix all this man, it would be so stupid and sad to give up.
Also don’t think I’m saying it will be easy, it definitely won’t be, change is always difficult, but you CAN do it.

Here at 5’8/9 as a Latino man with decent built and average face. I’m actually fortunate to be around Latina women who don’t preference 6 feet men because in most Latino countries the average height is like 5’7/8. Long rant, but this is very sad for me. I'm 19, and 5'2. I'm not asking to be tall, just taller than I am now. I just want to be able to carry a possible girlfriend (never had one) on my back, have her lean on me, and other shit like that. I may want these specific feelings more than many others, and what do I get? I get born into this pathetic, wimpy body where I will never be able to feel truly happy. I feel lesser wherever I go. Walking around in public I catch myself staring and cursing under my breath a lot. This blight has infected the very way I think. Whenever my buddies talk about the success they have with girls, I congratulate them, but feel completely dead on the inside, as I am by far the shortest one in the group, so my turn to share some good news may never arrive. They tell me it's not about height at all. They're wrong. They don't get it. It has a ton to do with initial attraction and relationship/flirting dynamics. I fucking hate myself.
Just know It's not your fault, we didn't choose to be the way we are we just are. I know that doesn't help but you shouldn't blame yourself, I'm 5'4 and for a while I blamed myself but the truth is it was decided at birth. Most people aren't gonna understand our struggle or they just wont care, it's why I stay away from people whenever I can and just focus on enjoying my hobbies and making money. Only friends I have are guys around our height because only they understand the reality of things, other people are just gonna gaslight you and act like you're the problem when really it's them.
I had a friend I grew up with who had a genetic defect and only grew to be about 4’5” - he just got married this past year.
There’s still hope for you man, you just need to find the right one - a task that’s not easy but I know from my friend can be done.

I feel you man... I'm 17M 5'0. I used to be 5'0 when I was 12 and for some reason I have not grown at all during puberty. I'm extremely depressed because now I always wonder if I would've worried about my height earlier and could have taken HGH and potentially become around 5'5 at least. Long story short, trust me when short men are discriminated. I've been bullied my entire life. I still have vivid memories of being picked on in elementary school for always being the (literally) smallest white kid in the building. I was always viewed as an inferior human being, not sure about the human part. Even in middle school I'd get bullied and degraded for being extremely short and skinny. Except in middle school I was 5'0 and people were shorter now that I'm in high school and every dude is fucking 6'0 towering over my 5'0 puny ass. I am ABSOLUTELY terrified to go to college looking like a 12 year old. I have nearly committed suicide various times because of the bullying, degradation, fear of the future, and overall hating my appearance because every guy seems to have the best genes except for me. I'm afraid I may not be on this Earth much longer as the loneliness will only get worse but I am just trying to enjoy what time I have left before I eventually give up..

Eh, I'm 5'6" (close to 5'7") and never had any issues at all getting girls, and ones I was actually really attracted to, that I'd also say fit the societal definition of attractive (i.e., are in shape, etc.). I've dated girls that are: my height, shorter and taller. I've found personally, the really short ones are the least likely to want to date shorter men, which is funny because if they have kids with a 6ft+ guy, they could easily have a son under, even well under 6ft tall owing to their genetics, who they would consider not dating material.
