For me achieving a relaxed life is through recreation. Non competitive activities with nature surrounding me. Surfing, hiking in to a fishing spot, spearfishing or free diving in a marine reserve, hiking. All of these require a good diet, adequate sleep and exercise to prepare for. Then the days, weeks or months of planning and looking forward to a holiday that involves a challenging outdoor activity diverts the mind from work or family stress. Having something to look forward to is very important.

I have adrenal fatigue and holy cow its a wild ride. I was even bed ridden for a time. Im much better now but the worst part of it for me is anxiety when the coritsol is out of wack. Its been hard to find a dr to help but finally found a natural path, she has really helped me. Now im dealingvmostly with anxiety, i can now exercise and am eating a vegan diet that has helped me but still have anxiety, very high anxiety which resulted in desperation taking anxiety meds. Im now weaning off the meds very very slowly, but adrenal burnout is real and many who suffer from this really need help from drs.
Thank you for bringing this topic to the forefront. Sharon california

My whole life has been fight or flight from fighting with mother to boarding school to working as land surveyor to school/work/house&yard maintenance...tried to find male leader for hubby but realized only Yeshua... to always trying to make enough to live somehow and now at 65 to keep going...the body and mind must listen to our spirit otherwise it is all about us and no direction from Yah. Focus on how He wants us, then any weight or lifestyle issues fall away...healing at many levels...no longer how we want it but Yah wants it and we are in His obedience and control...not the world's. Still have residual snot/asthma so mixed blessing but with keto nd fasting nd prayer, assures I am alive!

I do everything you recommend for stress but what really works for me in the middle of paralysed panic attacks, is Emotional Freedom Technique EFT. I just search “Brad Yates Desperate” or “Julie Schiffman Anxiety” and in nine minutes I am breathing normally. They are both highly intuitive, experienced and creative practitioners and it would be great if you could them on your show one day. Thanks to their generosity EFT is available 24/7 and I have even gone to a quiet corner of the supermarket with my phone to deal with panic buying! Julie used to work with Dr Mercola. Namaste 🙏

De. Hyman, your interviews are the best, so much knowledge and wisdom coming from you...is amazing how many people could use this channel, it is sad these people are not willing to learn until is too late, when they are really sick and can’t do anything about it. Love all the effort you put out there, keep them coming, I’m a subscriber for life 🙏🏻🥰

    If you are
    1) eating healthy , very low carb
    2) intermittent fasting 20 hours daily
    3) exercise 3 to 5 times a week
    4) blood tests all good
Can cortisol still mobilize fat to become visceral fat or its function will be limited
Can ashwanarga, magnesium , theonine , gaba , ginkoba , velarian , tyrosine help

As a health coach who talks to many many people, insomnia and adrenal fatigue are indeed, pandemic. Insurance doesn't cover cortisol salivary testing. Figures, right? It's upwards of $250 to a do it as a personal home test.

Okay, admittedly, I've only so far watched to the 26 min point, but I'm wondering in the study with oatmeal, what the kid was fed WITH the oats. And would the body's response have been the same if he/she'd eaten some good fat with it. Maybe some brazil nuts or even organic peanut butter (or coconut oil/butter). I'd like to see a study done with that oatmeal and just different types of good fat. If it was just straight oatmeal (especially "instant") without fat (hungry? duh ... AND without good healthy sea salt), it's just carbs, so makes sense the body wouldn't like that. I don't like hearing oatmeal denigrated, it has so many healthy aspects to it. Makes no sense to me that nature would screw with us like that, ha.

Thirty years ago my boyfriend had recurring colon cancer, about three surgeries. I read in the high fibre diet book that it could cure this cancer. I started giving him jacket potatoes, high fibre cereal, loads of veggies etc and the cancer was completely gone for good. When you have CPTSD as I do from child abuse, with one’s stomach tied in knots all the time, your digestion does not work without fibre, I had pancreatic and bladder cancer for which I needed colonic irrigation before the other natural cures would work. I had been on constant high protein, low fat diets to cope with the weight I accrued due to constant high cortisol. High fibre diet for many years now and no more cancer. But I still have the high cortisol and belly fat. Namaste 🙏
