The case gained attention, so the media started following the boss and caught he with bottles of liquor after she got her kidney. The reason being an alcoholic matters to me is because I know alcoholics and they are super hard to deal with sober, so I could just imagine what she was dealing with from a boss that was not able to drink. @@ladydara7446 You are not ineligible of getting a transplant, it is just recommended you do not drink, which I pointed out that the woman was not able to drink at the time because she was getting a kidney. The worries are more on the side of the donator, cause you do not ant someone donating a diseased organ.
I know especially when there are so many different ways that she could've been accommodated. She could be assigned to work from home if she needed to stay home to deal with complications from her surgery. She could be given lighter working assignments. She could also be put on reduced pay or a different pay structure but more accommodation to her other needs. Her life is already hard enough as a divorced single mother with 2 kids and now she just lost a healthy kidney.
NEVER EVER EVER help your bosses. They're not your friends. Edit: Unless they need toilet paper. But other people have body parts too. But I mean, if I gave my boss a kidney and they fired me because I took a day off I would say good riddance. Give me my kidney back!
Several years ago, my cousin received a kidney from her oldest sister. I remember the middle sister found some kind of funding for people who get kidney surgery (they have money for everything). She got the money, but didn't share it with the sister who gave her the kidney. Fast forward to now...that kidney is failing. This boss better be careful. Kidneys can fail you at any given time.

That's insane. You don't have to kiss the ground she walked on for doing the kind act, but at least show better appreciation than that. The boss is a work of art and has a special place you know where. lol
This lady was incredibly generous, in my 25 years of working I've never come across a boss that would be deserving of my kidney, not one. I would only give up a kidney for a family member or a very good friend.
This video inspired me to work for myself and never ever give my all to an ungrateful employer. Literally a formative part of my life. I'm 27 now and doing well.
"people are going to think you're getting special treatment" she kinda should be getting special treatment she cut out an organ and gave it to you. There are not a whole lot of employees out there that would do that.
Giving your boss an organ is pretty special treatment. She had no business accepting organ donations from her employees, if she was ethically opposed to special treatment. I don’t like to believe there are bad people, but this boss is really trying to prove me wrong.
@@Kmbstitches yep, people have offered me their kidneys since both of mine are at stage 3 ckd. I find it so nice but I physically could never ask anyone something that big and if someone did I’d truly be great full to them for the rest of my life especially since complications could come to both parties. I’ve heard of people getting organs and a couple years later their body rejects the organ despite things going well in the beginning 🥲 then there’s the person who’s literally putting their life on the line so yours can last longer, that’s a HUGE commitment for both parties. I’m baffled she didn’t show more gratitude, even if it’s fake. Like come on. I hope this ladies kidney rejects because she did not deserve it and I hope this kind woman found a way better job and won the law suit
Most who donate a body part to help another don't expect anything in return. However, to be fired resulting from damage to her body related to that very selfless act of a donation is beyond evil...
I agree. Even if the boss didn't say very many thanks, it seems like she didn't have such a big problem with it. But to not acknowledge a medical problem and reasonable cause for her limitations, and then firing her on top of that... ridiculous.
the employee didn't expect anything in return, but didn't expect a cold shoulder or to be booted either. the boss has no empathy and is unable to feel such normal human emotions.
I would’ve taken my kidney back with bare hands & a butter knife. Later on feed that to a dog cause they are more faithful as well as grateful than human beings.
I know the feeling about not doing more for your boss. I used to work a lot of hours for my boss. Walked in a blizzard to get to work. Came to work when ever someone called off. When my mom died, my boss made me come to work. Instead of giving me bereavement pay, she used my PTO to pay me for the time that I had to take off to bury her in another state. If I was her boss, I would have gave her special treatment for life. She would have multiple vacations, better pay, a promotion, a new car...anything for saving my life. I wouldn't even care if she started slacking off on the job. I would be so grateful for her saving my life.
To everyone saying that they would ask for the kidney back lol she didn’t give her kidney directly to her boss. Her boss was involved in a kidney donation group where you have to give a kidney to get a kidney. This lady wasn’t a match for her boss so she couldn’t give it directly to her so this lady donated to someone else on her bosses behalf because you have to “give a kidey to get a kidney.” So this lady‘s kidney donation actually went to someone else and then her boss was able to get a kidney from another person who was a perfect match. Still, the boss is an ungrateful bitch.
That feels like even more of a sacrifice. It’s not like her kidney was a perfect match so she gave it to her, it was like “I’m gonna give up my kidney so you can get one” 😯! What a horrible human being that boss is!
What a horrible experience. I hope she's found some justice in the court system and some healing so that she can move on. And I hope her health has recovered. It's sadly a lesson for people considering being a donor. Her ex-boss not only hurt this generous and kind woman, she hurt a lot of people who need organs and depend on this same type of kindness. Other people won't do it because of what she did.
Not true. My mom's old boss was one of her very best friends. When my stepdad fell ill with liver disease and she became his caretaker he insisted on continuing to pay her, even after they moved across the country. Even though his business couldn't afford it. And despite my mom's protestations. Humans are humans. Some are awful and some are amazing.

I have been a dialysis nurse for 12 years. If you go into renal failure, there are treatment options other than transplants. Of course, for most people with kidney disease, that is the most desired outcome. But you can live a relatively normal life on dialysis for many many years. I think my patient with the longest time on dialysis was about 15 years and he died of cardiac complications, it wasn't because of his kidney failure. I have had many patients who were in their 20's - 60's, who worked 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, going to dialysis 3 evenings a week and would still go out at the weekend with their mates to the pub or clubs. Most people on dialysis don't die of kidney related issues, unless they decide to cease treatment. Most renal patients, in my experience, die of other causes.

It was like she went from being super mean for no reason at all, to depending on me for weed, and she never talked rude again to me.
@@chrisgullett4332 I always understood that alcoholics are ineligible to receive a kidney unless they've attended rehab and demonstrated sobriety.
@@ladydara7446 You are not ineligible of getting a transplant, it is just recommended you do not drink, which I pointed out that the woman was not able to drink at the time because she was getting a kidney. Alcoholism is one of the major reason people get transplants, and you cannot ban someone from getting a transplant. The worries are more on the side of the donator, cause you do not ant someone donating a diseased organ.
Literally any sane person would understand her taking a day off. It’s disgusting how that woman treated this woman who possibly saved her life.

I know especially when there are so many different ways that she could've been accommodated. She could be assigned to work from home if she needed to stay home to deal with complications from her surgery. She could be given lighter working assignments. She could also be put on reduced pay or a different pay structure but more accommodation to her other needs. Very very true!.
My boss is awesome!...I'm self employed 😆
only help your boss when you are certain of the benefits.

I wish I had done this earlier, but I started to work for myself at 43.
"people are going to think you're getting special treatment" she kinda should be getting special treatment she cut out an organ and gave it to you. There are not a whole lot of employees out there that would do that.
Medical leave isn't even special treatment!
Yes! She literally shortened her life span so her boss could live.
Literally saved her life. And risked her own.
Most who donate a body part to help another don't expect anything in return. However, to be fired resulting from damage to her body related to that very selfless act of a donation is beyond evil...
When this bosses time comes I think even the devil won't want someone this evil in hell.
I agree. Even if the boss didn't say very many thanks, it seems like she didn't have such a big problem with it. But to not acknowledge a medical problem and reasonable cause for her limitations, and then firing her on top of that... ridiculous.
That boss is one evil outfit!
That is a narcissist for you. Always.
the employee didn't expect anything in return, but didn't expect a cold shoulder or to be booted either. the boss has no empathy and is unable to feel such normal human emotions.
The boss lady should've come to thank her, in person, and spontaneously given her 3 months' paid leave -- to recover.
This is precisely why I no longer help people
I would’ve taken my kidney back with bare hands & a butter knife. Later on feed that to a dog cause they are more faithful as well as grateful than human beings.
Completely agree
😂😂😂😂😂👍
Idk, I dont think I would feed a dog a kidney that was once mine 😭😭😭

Wtf?? Lol
Lesson learned: never give your body part to a narcissist.
Perfect way to end your comment👏🏼
Thanks for clearing that up. And, off topic but, you're a QT.

@@ventureelect 🔵 This reminds me of Alice In Wonderland. You know, when the Queen screams " Off with his (her) head!"...LOL I don't want violence but geeze that boss needs a wake up call!
While we're at it, we should search for a brain donor to help her out.
Sounds right....she needs a new heart too. SMH
I can recall a story of 2 car driver at an intersection. One waved the other on letting them know it was clear to proceed but the guy ended up in a crash. He sued the guy that waves him on AND WON!!!! 🙄 The judge said he should have been more careful??🤔 I couldn't believe it!! 🤷🏾♀️
I understand how she feels. My Manager does always lie.
When they say selfish people live longer this is what they mean. Jesus Christmas how can you do this to someone and sleep at night?
she dosent care. its not that hard 2 believe
Chatty216 and then they burn in hell
Chatty216 I usually like to sleep on my side. I think those selfish people would sleep on a rock.
My boss is exactly the type of person who would do this. I am convinced she's a fuckin sociopath
Chatty216 Jesus Christmas 😂
She also needs a heart transplant apparently 😤💔
L.A.213MusIc🎶isMe . . .best comment EVER. well done my friend well done.
Ooo! Sick burn!
Black People Created Everything and Shit ? Lolgood idea
Oh man, that was an awesome comment
Nurse Bennie I'm not a Dr but she needs a new diagnose for a bad case of heartless
This is absolutely disgusting.
People never cease to amaze me with extreme disrespect & betrayal
My god how evil can you be the fact her boss probably was smiling in her face and all pretending to be grateful and then she shows her true colors.
I was reading your comment and looking at the pic like wow she's pretty 😂💕
That's the thing though...she never smiled in her face or ever acted grateful for her selfless act, only through an email was it mentioned casually. I agree...Evil, yes!
Demons walk the earth 🌎.
@@rochelleolivia tell me about it. It's like her she was made by God herself.
>Donates kidney to boss
> *Later gets fired for medical reasons*
This woman literally gave you special treatment to actually live and you can't even give her a small special treatment and she's not even asking anything back other than a few days off.
My heart goes out to you.
She has a good heart but I would never donate to a non-relative for this reason.
Ava Miller Heck, and you can’t trust them to always do right by you either.
maybe she should have donated her heart so the boss wouldn't fire her
@@justarandomlol--What, she endured major surgery, risked her health and her life, lost a spare vital organ for life for an extra couple of dollars an hour? If anything happens to the one remaining kidney she's screwed, but she's got $575 a week now instead of $550. Wow, a real lottery win she got there. 😖
don't delude yourself ryan
Sounds like the boss needed a heart more than a freaking kidney!
A.C. Creations Film Studios Nah. Better to just rip out the old one.
You mean needed a hell?
More like brain...
It's the employee who needs a heart. Coz she didn't really "donate" her kidney but sold it for big money. I don't think it's right to fire her but i also don't think she should get our side and pity
This is a sign of societal collapse.
Even some family members are reluctant to undergo a serious operation and loose a kidney for a loved one. Yet the heartless beneficiary didn't even realize what incredible gift she got from a perfect stranger who saved her life! Some people are unbelievable - shame on her!
My mom donated her kidney to me when I was 13 year old and it lasted for 19 years. The week of the surgery her co-worker went around asking other co-worker to donate money for my mom. They raise almost $5000 for her. When my mom went back to work her boss monitor her to see if she was up to doing her job. He told my mom that if she ever felt sick or not feeling good all she had to do was tell him and won't hold it against her. My mom was grateful for her co-workers and boss for understanding her situation.
Virginia Watson huh? what does being a christian have to do with any of that?
Chris AngFlo I think she means kind, caring, generous people. Often Christians are those people.
Celia Morelli Is that right, I was going to refute your statement but I'm afraid that it could get messy (because politics) so let I'll just make this statement -> "If you say so!"
Devin Kenoras sadly, most likely not true christ ...ians..
Celia Morelli no they not
