One of the greatest channels on youtube. Currently driving a 75 pea green beetle with a VW life sticker riding on the rear window. Keep up the great work. Learning a lot from you guys.
Another great upload, lads. Always jealous of the rust free cars you guys have, and the massive garages you have to work on these cars! Keep the updates coming. Nice to see the subscriptions racking up! Ben 🇬🇧
Cool vid guys I like the polished rustic look thing on it... Last air cooled Beatle I touched was a 69 super Beatle I built a motor for and put a 1776 big bore kit in it. Was a fun little thing to zip around in that's for sure.
@@VWLifeVW First and last VW air cooled engine full rebuild but not the first air cooled VW I worked on. We don't have many here in MN they pretty much are all collectors or rotted away. All I do is build/fix cars for others so I don't seem to see them anymore. Wouldn't mind working on one again they are neat simplistic little cars. What is incredible to me is how big of a boost you guys got off of Matt giving you a shout out. It would be cool if he had you guys do a car, bus, or truck for him and would be a crazy boost for you to. I would have never known about you if not for his last video.
@@CrazedPerformanceRepair thanks yes! we gained about 800 new subscribers in one day. We had noticed in one of his videos he saw an old vw bus and mentioned he wanted to get another one one day, so.... And since we are so close we think it would be an awesome collab. We are glad to have you here and look forward to seeing what you're working on as well.
Great Update Video, I like the way you guys make a list of what needs to be done. I do that too. This project is going to come out Great. Have a great holiday weekend and keep Bugg’n for us. 👍. BigW:-)
This made my day. I went to the grocery store at 11:58A. I nearly spontaneously combusted bringing in the groceries before the ice cream melted..."What are you Matt Jackson? Some kind of Jedi Knight? You wave your hand and say that you want this done? Your Jedi tricks won't work here! We are VW Life. We do it our selves!" What are y'all gonna do with the paint? Enquiring minds want to know! Another skillfully edited video with lunch done properly at Whataburger! They outta give y'all free lunch...at least some fries and a Coke...Want me to call them for you? Hey Martin. Please practice your snappy comebacks..I teach smart ass! Y'all keep on keepin' on! Later. Gators
I have a 1970 camper VW bus with fold down bed hanging closet, when I parked everything in side was great. It kept blowing number one spark plug out. Lifted back of the bus dropped the engine. Years later this guy said he needed a motor some where brought up the family need, found out from his brother in law that turned around and sold it. It been parked since early 90'S. Has pop up with canvas bed up top. Big mistake on my part, I fell for the fiddle song.
The “Old man” stated… “I am a bus guy” and then went on to comment on how putting a motor in a bug was more difficult. So here is my idea. I want to see a “Harvest Bus” build series!!! It should be a splitty, and brought back to a drivable, respectable, cool shape! ( secretly, i wish that it could be mine, but I am teacher in Oklahoma and can’t afford the price tag ) But all side comments aside, I WOULD LOVE TO WATCH THE HARVEST BUS!!! If possible, could you guys PLEASE make it happen?
Having never owned a bus or really any serviceable memories of even riding in one, they frustratingly pique my interest. They are just coolness incorporated
Yes you're like the fourth person to say that in this video. We get it but when you factor in a paint job you're adding way more cost and way more time. And besides it's going to look real cool with that patina but to each his own right?
I'm all for originality, and i do like the ratty, patina look,but---- as far as this car was torn down, it would have been so easy to paint it. This car is now so nice it deserves paint. I also realize opinions are like assholes and everyone has one,but if i had it,my ocd would not let me not paint it. Keep up good work/content.Try not to roast me alive now, please.
We totally get it and you're not the first one to suggest that. But it is a cost and time thing even though we got it down this far it still would be a lot more time to do body work and a lot more money to paint it. Also it's going to have its own unique look it's on patina something you only get once thanks!
Good antics, HB lives to run another day. What a faithful servant ol HB after years of sitting.
Thanks Jordan, we are honoring the elders one could say
So cool you are buffing patina!
Yes we are thanks for watching!
You've got it that far paint it. LOL That's not what you want to hear is it. LOL Good to see it lives. Its little heart beats once more.
Ha yeah, more time and money to get it painted. Going to look great.. 👍💰

A trick : you can watch series on Flixzone. Been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Santiago Cassius Yea, been watching on Flixzone for months myself :D
Another great video from VW Life, great teamwork. And that little engine just stared up and I know I heard that engine say I live again.
Thanks Dennis, yep breathing once again for its new owner 👍😊

Nothing but awesomeness..

Love the engine !! Plus I’m going to need a sticker for my new full time shop in the uk :)
Thanks congrats on your shop! tinyurl.com/VWLifeStickers
When she started that brought back great memories I grew up with that sound my dads Beetles and camper ❤️👌🏻😊👍🏻
Cool, such a unique and awesome sound
Coming along nicely. The vacuum advance line from the carb is incorrect. Should be a solid line with a vertical bend to prevent fuel flowing down it.
Nice spot! We actually are swapping out the carb. But definitely good eye sir. Appreciate it
@@VWLifeVW its surprising how often you see it tbh.. That and incorrectly positioned axel gaitors.
Looking good guys. I’m on to brakes and drop spindles. I keep pushing.
cool! we have to bleed our brake still.
I’ve just finished putting two vw motors together and now we have to work on rust and the body!
Cool deal!
Many hands make light work I tell ya..good job..
That's right buddy!

Hi. What are the rear size of tire and mags? Thanks.
I didn't know you could even get parts for any of the engines before the 1584 cc anymore, but Wolfsburg West does have them.
Yep love Wolfsburg west!
Man i miss my 67 baja.
You should try to find another one!
Another great video guys,
Thanks again!
Thank you so very much. Awesome 👍😍
No problem 😊
Would love to know what size Mig you went with. I run a Lincoln 140 for bodywork. Looked like a 140 but we never got a shot of it.
I think it might actually be the 140 I'll have to check where you
You only need the jack if it's one guy doing the install🤘
👍
I'd clearcoat and seal in that patina ❤
The Chanel number one in the word saludos desde mexico
Gracias Carlos!
Looking good.
Thanks man appreciate it man
Nice work guys I enjoy your videos, sorry is not a van🤔😁😉
Lol don't be sorry,,,! Thanks Gustavo

The next time we do one we can! Thanks
Hey don’t buff out ALL that crust on MY car now ya hear! Lol
Plenty of crust to go around!

You have to make time.! 😉⌚
Aaron car gotta take if alternator and exhaust then it goes in easy...
His car has been hit in the back which makes it even worse😆
Ah okay

Old school look looks much better 😉😉 not so much buffing 🤣🤣
Yes! it won't be super shiny

How long has he known you, Matt Jackson? Do we have memory issues?
Lol probably
Love everything about the build except I would have liked to see it painted. Yea I know....
