She was popular in 80s, 90s and 2000s, Madonna transcends generations! Her album Confessions on a dance floor from 2005 is one of the best dance albums from that era, also The Ray of light album from 1997 is very special ❤
This song was from the movie Desperately Seeking Susan, a fun movie you would enjoy! :) To this day, Madonna remains the female artist with the most number-one singles ever, with 13. Her last #1 single was in 2000 (Music). Her last #1 album was in 2012. Her last released album was in 2019. So you're absolutely right, Amber; Madonna is still out there making great music and is an icon! 🕺🎶😁
Ironically, Madonna really doesn't like this song, and considers it a throwaway (it was never released as a single). But she conceded that "people seem to like it for some reason." 🙂
MaDonna was the girl! She had style that was incomparable! All the younger girls wanted to be like her or dance like her! She had tons of videos on MTV that’s how you got to know her music!
A League Of Their Own was Madonna’s best movie, probably because she was a supporting character instead of the lead. The critics hated her in Dick Tracy, Body of Evidence, and Shanghai Surprise. Lady GaGa took over with several catchy pop songs. People either love them or hate them. Paparazzi, Poker Face, and Bad Romance came out in quick succession and dominated the airwaves and music videos for a while.
@@btgiv6009 really! If this is true I'm shocked this is such a catchy song and the lyrics are so easy to learn and sing along definitely a song to dance at your favourite club.
Yessss, all great ballads!!! She had so many great songs, some I had forgotten about like; "Beautiful Stranger", "Bad Girl", "Music", and "Deeper & Deeper" to name a few! Getting back to "Take A Bow" though...That has to be one of my all-time faves. It's just so hauntingly beautiful, especially when u add Babyface's backing vocals. Speaking of Babyface, I don't think they've gone down that vast Rabbit Hole yet, I hope they will soon, he is amazing! 😍
Absolutely, Borderline is my all time favorite!! Did you know it was her very first song to ever make the Billboard Top Ten? Other early songs may have become more "popular" in the long run, but Borderline hit the top ten before Like A Virgin or Holiday, all released about the same time in 1983 (I think).😊

The real jacket was given to singer Peter Gabriel as a b-day present. He gave it to one of his daughters and it disappeared. A few decades later, it popped up and went to auction for five figures!
Yup! She was VERY underrated when it came to ballads. "You'll See" was also amazing, and a lot of them were tearjerkers, like "This Used To Be My Playground", "I'll Remember","Take A Bow" and "Inside Of Me". I really hope she does some ballads on this tour
The queen of pop was poppin well in to the 2000s. "Hung UP" in 05 went number one in 41 countries. It was her 36th top ten hit. She had her 37th in 09 with "4 minutes."
This is only one of the many reasons why she's a legend to this day. Like a Prayer, La Isla Bonita, Like A Virgin, Borderline, etc. Hail to the Queen of pop.

Madonna was ABSOLUTELY popping in the 2000s! All you need to see is the video for 'Hung Up' from 2005 to confirm that (and she sampled Abba for the music).
According to Wikipedia, it seems Madonna was a bit more popular in the UK than the US after 2000. Between 2000-2010, she had 5 x UK number one singles. Also, ‘Into the Groove’ was her first UK number one.
@@ImmortalBroken every single madonna released between 2000-2010 did exponentially better on the uk chart than on the us hot 100 chart, except for "music" (#1) and "don't tell me" (#4), which both peaked in the same position on either side of the atlantic in 2000...madonna added another fifteen top 10 hits (including five #1s) to her official uk singles chart stats in the 00's...
My youngest son was a baby when this came out. I used to play it, and pick him up, and dance around the room. I did it almost every night, to put him to sleep for bedtime. Or sometimes, when we were just having fun lol After he was in his twenties, it came on the radio one day, he said.." I don't know why, but I like this song"... Love this fun song!! The movie that plays with this song is cute as well!!! Desperately Seeking Susan loved it!! Loved dancing to this song in the club’s!!! We all dressed like her as well!!
This song is one of my favorite songs. My favorite songs from her are Borderline, Love Don't Live Here Anymore (cover), Take A Bow, Crazy For you, Cherish, True Blue, Live To Tell and many more.
I can still remember when my friend TJ called me up ( on a land line, be4 cell phones) and said "I got a new album, you have to come over and hear this new chick MADONNA!" To this day her first album is my favorite. You really need to see DESPERATLY SEEKING SUSAN!!!
Normally I don't bother with anything non rock post 70s but she was a freaking earth mover when she arrived and took over MTV. Damn fine song for what it is.
Madonna has never stopped being on top from the very start of her career. She is a major star until today with her own way, inlfluencing many generations through her Art.
Madonna had her biggest global success in 2005 with her song Hung Up, which was a chart topper around the world. She also had her biggest selling concert tours between 2006 and 2012, the same year she performed at the Super Bowl. She was poppin in the 2000s.
Madonna popped off in the 80s...killed the 90s and simmered in to the 2000s. Her catalog of music is insane...and you never get the same Madonna twice. I'm gonna suggest songs I don't see being suggested much because there are just so many to choose from. - Rain - I Remember -This Used to Be My Playground -Causing a Commotion -Dress You Up -Erotica -Justify My Love -Open Your Heart -Oh Father
This was a huge and inescapable hit back in the day. I was going to say check out the song she did with Mike Myers in the video, "Beautiful Stranger," but that was from 1999. 😅 But the next year, 2000, she had a huge hit with a song called "Music." You should check it out, both of them actually.
Madonna has by far had one of the longest and most successful careers of any musical solo act or group ever. She has her fair share of critics and haters, but her overall longevity is amazing. Like other said, making hits well into the 2000s.
Madonna has had a 40 year Music career. Shes the best selling female recording artist in history. She’s had hits in each decade too. Madonna is the Queen of Pop and is the trailblazer for all future female pop stars that came after her.
Great Reaction, Robinsons! Yes, Jay, Madonna had hits in every decade since the 80s. ' Hung Up' from her Confessions on The Dancefloor LP was a major worldwide hit with an Abba song sample! That album had killer hits! Amber is right. Madonna is an Icon! More more!❤️
Actually Madonna had her biggest hit in 2005 with Hung Up. It went to number 1 in 41 countries earning a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. It was Madonna's 36th top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100, tying her with Elvis Presley as the artist with most top ten entries. So Madonna was most definitely poppin in the 2000s 🙂 plus she is still having hits on the Billboard dance charts and setting new records to this day!
Her clothing style was so memorable...we all loved her hair, her accessories, the red lips. She had huge ballad and techno pop hits in the 90's maybe more internationally though still charting well in the US, like Take A Bow and Frozen. I have to admit, though, as an artist, these later hits stand out in my head more for their beautiful videos.
You better believe Madonna is still going strong. She's still writing & releasing songs. & her movie career is going strong, too. Not only has she acted/starred in many movies, & been in several documentaries, but she's also executive produced, produced, screenwritten, & even directed, several movies.
They say that different songs bring about different memories. Man. I was a young sailor right out of Boot Camp in San Diego. All the girlie dancer places (peer pressure man.....peer pressure) within walking distance sported the finest looking pole dancing gals. They were dancing to this tune more often than not. Hey...for what it is worth, that is what this tune reminds me of. 40+ years ago.
She was so poppin in the 2000s!: "Music" and "Confessions on the Dance Floor" are terrific albums with big hits, and her voice wasn't filtered like her early stuff.
Her best uptempo song. The voice, the look, etc was THE era of the greatest female Pop Star of all times. The Queen. Her best ballad was Live To Tell from True Blue.
I'd like to see you guys react to some of her post-eighties dance classics like "Don't Tell Me," "Hung Up," or "Music." Then there are hit ballads from the nineties like "Take a Bow" (a classic) and "Rain."
Madonna was definitely still poppin` in the 2000`s, with the top selling dance song in 2002, 2003, grammy nominations, the famous MTV performance w Britney and Cristina, her hit Hung Up and the following 2006 tour which was the highest-grossing ever for a female artist at that time, until she beat that with her next tour in 2009, with her worldwide success 4 minutes w Justin Timberlake, her 37th billboard top 10 hit. Culminating in her Superbowl halftime show in 2012. The 1980s to 2010 was her height
I love 80's Madonna the best. "Dress You Up" is a fun song. One she did in the 90's I LOVE is a collab with Babyface called "Take a Bow"....its slower but its very soulful!
Madonna was huge in the 80s and 90s and in the 2000s she had one of her biggest hits ‘Hung Up’ which went to number one in like 70 something countries. It was also the most successful dance song of the decade in the US so bro needs to check himself being so confident that Madonna was only big in the 80s….lol
Here are Madonna's 80s hits: Material Girl, Like A Virgin, Like A Prayer, Express Yourself, Into The Groove, Lucky Star, Borderline, Dress You Up, Open Your Heart, Crazy For You, Live To Tell, La Isla Bonita, Burning Up, Angel, Holiday, Causing A Commotion, Cherish, Papa Don't Preach, True Blue, Who's That Girl. All but 3 of these songs charted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the 80s. And one of the 3 that did not make it to the Top 10 made it to #16.
Fun fact - the movie in this video "Desperately Seeking Susan" also featured Rosanna Arquette who starred in the Toto video "Rosanna." Also, Madonna was still really popular well into the 90s and 2000s! She did an awesome song called "Beautiful Stranger" for the "Austin Powers: the Spy Who Shagged Me" movie, AND she had a great pop hit "Ray of Light" in the late 90s.
Madonna is 'quirky' but she wrote and sang some great music. This is one of my favorites. Don't care what anyone says...loved her in League of their own.
One of Madonna's most respected and successful albums was released in 2005. Confessions on a Dance Floor went to No. 1 in 10 countries, selling over 10 million physical copies. Definitely 'poppin'!
Confessions on a dance floor hit #1 in over 40 countries, it still holds the all-time record for an album hitting #1 on the main chart in the most markets.
Madonna was poppin’ in the 2000’s!! “Music,” “Don’t Tell Me,” “Hung Up,” and “4 Minutes” were international hits.

Wife here..,OMG ..,Myself and my tween Galpals LOVED this!!!.. We had a makeshift roller skate rink in my basement..We knew every word to this.We would skate the night away to this!!!.Thank You So Much For the Amazing 80's Memories.!!.That "Freeness"..Perfectly Stated You Guys!!!
One of my favorite Madonna songs. Her performance of this at Live Aid was awesome!
Oh Jay! Lol Madonna was huge in the 80’s, 90’s and definitely the 2000’s. That woman knows how to reinvent herself like no one else.
Madonna was ABSOLUTELY popping in the 2000s! All you need to see is the video for 'Hung Up' from 2005 to confirm that (and she sampled Abba for the music).
The 80's Madonna... The BEST Madonna...
According to Wikipedia, it seems Madonna was a bit more popular in the UK than the US after 2000. Between 2000-2010, she had 5 x UK number one singles. Also, ‘Into the Groove’ was her first UK number one.
Interesting! Yeah, she had 5 top ten hits (wonder if same 5?) here in that decade but I think only one #1.
I just laughed and said it's because I used to dance with you ,to this song, when you were baby....lol I actually am trying to get him to sit down and watch this movie with me now. He's 36 now...I love it. I have always loved this song and still do.
Love this fun song!! The movie that plays with this song is cute as well!!! Desperately Seeking Susan loved it!! Loved dancing to this song in the club’s!!! We all dressed like her as well!!
Madonna, commercially, was popping at least until 2010. But even after that her concerts still made attendance records.
THIS is my all- time favorite dancefloor jam. Absolute perfection❤️
Madonna was a great singer and entertainer. She is nuts now. I like to remember her during times like this..
This song is one of my favorite songs. My favorite songs from her are Borderline, Love Don't Live Here Anymore (cover), Take A Bow, Crazy For you, Cherish, True Blue, Live To Tell and many more.
From the great Madonna movie "Desperately Seeking Susan", which is absolutely fantastic as well...
This is my favorite Madonna. Desperately Seeking Susan era Madonna❣
I can still remember when my friend TJ called me up ( on a land line, be4 cell phones) and said "I got a new album, you have to come over and hear this new chick MADONNA!" To this day her first album is my favorite. You really need to see DESPERATLY SEEKING SUSAN!!!
Yes!! Please add Desperately Seeking Susan to your watchlist! Such a stylish 80s flick!
'You can dance'..the line went on to become a title for a future remix dance cd 😍👏🎉❤💃🕺
Borderline, and Lucky Star
This has such an irresistible beat.I love when she sings yeah,at the end of those lines.
Normally I don't bother with anything non rock post 70s but she was a freaking earth mover when she arrived and took over MTV. Damn fine song for what it is.
Earth mover is probably the most apt description i've ever heard of her. She changed the world.
- Rain
- I Remember
-This Used to Be My Playground
-Causing a Commotion
-Dress You Up
-Erotica
-Justify My Love
-Open Your Heart
-Oh Father
This was a huge and inescapable hit back in the day. I was going to say check out the song she did with Mike Myers in the video, "Beautiful Stranger," but that was from 1999. 😅 But the next year, 2000, she had a huge hit with a song called "Music." You should check it out, both of them actually.
Madonna - Into The Groove (Original Demo Version). - BEST version of this song!
Madonna has by far had one of the longest and most successful careers of any musical solo act or group ever. She has her fair share of critics and haters, but her overall longevity is amazing. Like other said, making hits well into the 2000s.
In case you didn’t know, the girl they alternate showing in this video is the actress Rosanna Arquette, whom the song Rosanna by Toto was written for.
Madonna has had a 40 year Music career. Shes the best selling female recording artist in history. She’s had hits in each decade too. Madonna is the Queen of Pop and is the trailblazer for all future female pop stars that came after her.
Madonna WAS popping in the 80’s, 90’s, 00’s.. I hope you react to more Madonna and enjoy her 40years in the industry.
More more!❤️
she was and is the ultimate queen of pop
one of my absolute fav´s.....
♥ it sooo much
She was on top of the world 🤘🤘
Borderline and Holiday are two early Madonna songs that are awesome!
Madonna will forever be the true queen of pop
J & Amber - you need to add Desperately Seeking Susan to your movie list. This song was featured in it!
She also has 28 number ones on the dance/club charts since 2000. Queen.
Thanks to the production talents of Nile Rogers for that thick full-on disco sound
Madonna was in a few movies. Desperately Seeking Suzan and Who’s That Girl both star Madonna.
Dude, how could you not know that Madonna was making hits in the 2000s? She was on 🔥
They say that different songs bring about different memories.
80's Madonna was pushing all buttons. She ticked off so many people, but she was bold and wild and took chances with her music and videos.
I Can Play This Song Over & Over That's How Much I Love This Great Classic Song 👍 , Great Reaction Guy's
Fun fact - the movie in this video "Desperately Seeking Susan" also featured Rosanna Arquette who starred in the Toto video "Rosanna."
Also, Madonna was still really popular well into the 90s and 2000s!
Madonna was a trendsetter and so fun to hear and watch on MTV over and over.
One of The Most Iconic Pop/Dance songs Ever from The Best Selling Female artist.
This song encaptures The 80's , it's a masterpiece of a Pop Song 🎵 👌
Love me some early Madonna
Madonna artistically peaked in the late nighties with "Ray of Light". She's more than an eighties girl.
💙💙 Madonna 💙💙
I love how that synthesizer just drops you right "into the groove" from the first second.
