personally I think their rumbas, pasodobles and jotas have little to do with celtic culture. galician culture is a roman culture with a big latino flavour in their music style and melodies. I dont see many similarities with the other celts except for the use of a bagpipe. If I'm looking for celtic music I would not search for galician music... it's only my opinion, but I know many think like me. long life to Galicia and to the Six Celtic Nations.

There are Eight Celtic nations Sir. Your opinion is just that: a speculative opinion. We in Galicia are not Romans, nor do we represent any of their damned culture. Romans can go to hell for what they did to the Celts in Iberia and abroad! We are called "Latinos" because we are in Spain, and we speak what is called a Romance language. No other reason. However, we are an autonomous region, with different cultural roots. If it was because of Roman influence, your Germanic Tribes will be also Romans--since they beat the hell out of your people too. What you are stating here has no factual grounds, and it is what many people who think like you might expect to see in Spain: Bull fights and Flamenco. Not the case with Galicia. Oh, and bagpipes is not the only thing we have that is Celtic. We have another thing called DNA and Genetic Archaeology that links us with other Celtic Nations.

Really? let me put it this way. Before you share your nonsensical opinions here--do some research! Where do you learn your info, Wikipedia? I am not arguing with you because there is no argument here. You are as ignorant as those who think like you.

Science is all that matters here. Let me ask you something: Do you know the difference between a subjective opinion and an empirical proven fact? And believe me, Wikipedia is as unreliable as believing a person can turn water into wine. An opinion is something that you think disregarding the evidence found. Sort of like believing in Santa Claus or in other myths such as religions. It is not FACTUAL! An empirical evidenced fact is axiomatic and it is irrefutable. Hence, just because a person thinks that the world is flat, it does not mean it is the truth. We were the first Celts of the area, which were the same farmers that arrived to the Peninsula 8000 years ago, and the Celts in the British Isles all came from Galicia, Spain during Neolithic times. I will give you a good book you can read if you are interested in the truth and to see where the Celts came from:The Blood of the Isles by Bryan Sykes.
