I've been impressed by dodge a few times over the years. The V6 P-body sedans in the 90s were a hidden gem and the newer RWD family they've made have been some of the best American cars available in terms of packaging and have even been reasonably reliable in my experience. But I just can't get over how much smaller the Durango feels inside compared to its size outside. I've been seriously considering a new Acadia due to the better interior design but would strongly prefer a RWD-derived platform like Durango is built from. I wish there was something on the market like that because Wagoneers are too expensive and now need to prove a new engine, to boot. Might just end up in a Tahoe instead.
I would put palissade in front of telluride for the better newer full digital cluster (telluride will have this cluster 2023 for sure) and for the power folding seat button in the trunk. Helpful information. Well done. Where does the Honda Passport fall into the mix? With the great cargo space, 6 cylinder engine, a bit more height than the Pilot, and 2 rows I'm looking at it first. It sort of falls between the 4 cylinder 2 rows and the 3 row SUVs. Would love to see your take on it.
Yes I need to make a Passport video soon. I'm a huge fan of it. It is basically a 2-row Pilot which is great because you get tons of cargo space, great power and towing capacity from the V6 engine, and the same excellent reliability. It's an easy one to recommend.
Mr. Prymak, I enjoy your videos very much but have a concern/question regarding the Kia Telluride and the Hyundai Palisade. From what I've read on the NHTSA website and others, the Telluride has a problem with easily breaking windshields and sunroofs. Some owners have reported their windshields breaking while driving without being hit by an object. Same with the sunroofs. This includes model years 2020-2022. Others have stated that even a slight hit on the windshield by a very tiny pebble has caused the windshield to either crack or shatter. It's been said that these windshields may be thinner than most and that may be the reason for these problems. Have you heard similar? I've also read that due to these problems, the NHTSA is getting ready to require a recall on the Telluride. As for the Hyundai Santa Fe, there is apparently a known noise issue with the front seat side windows/doors in the 2020 models, and that Hyundai has not found a solution for these noise issues which continue to be a problem in the 2021 and 2022 models. Apparently, the noise isn't bad on surface streets but can get extremely loud and annoying at high speeds on the freeway/highway. I'd be interested to hear your opinion on both of these issues as I'm in the market for a new mid-size SUV and both the Telluride and Palisade are on my list. Thank you in advance for any feedback you can offer!
Many car brands have had issues with shattering panoramic sunroofs over the years. The size seems to be the problem, but it is definitely not common enough to deter me from recommending them. The windshield is more unusual, but a recall would actually be a good thing because then Kia/Hyundai would take ownership of the problem and fix it at no cost without hassle. If you like these three I would lean towards the Palisade or Telluride. They feel more substantial than the Santa Fe and the V6 engine is much better than the sometimes problematic 4 cylinder engine in the Santa Fe. Of course, as I said in the video, the Highlander has the most well established reputation of the group.
I hope the next-gen Honda Pilot will have a hybrid option. I like the Toyota Highlander hybrid because it is already well-tested, and the reliability is no joke. I want how big the Pilot is then the high lander, and it is easy to drive and comfortable

The Telluride is a roomier, better choice if you can afford the price difference. The Sorrento's third row is extremely tight. Plus I'd want to wait and see how the turbo-4 and turbo hybrid in the Sorento are like reliability wise
@@carhelpcorner the kia sorento third row is not tight at all. A friend of mine bough a 2021 yesterday and I was in pressed how roomy it was..have me thinking it's maybe bigger than my 2022 mdx.
The Highlander’s strong suit is its sleek and sporty styling, although the 29-mpg is also nice. Also - the built-in dashboard shelves are neat. One downside is that it doesn’t have “auto lock”, which allows the doors to lock themselves after the driver walks away. Another “miss” is the 12.3” screen - it is beautifully crafted into the dashboard, but Toyota has big-time failed to make the best use of all that space.
Bro I think this is the car my family is gonna get and looks better than I thought and Toyota is really reliable and holds their value over time says my dad
@@KingMartillo yup best mid sizer, they can go 300,000 miles no prob and resale will still be decent, honestly no competition other than people wanting a luxury look like the Kia and Hyundai
@@truckbuild4213 yea the 10 speed gearbox is a gem. I just got my 2018 Acura TLX a spec that uses the ZF9 and a lot of people are saying it’s great once you get the transmission software update.
No. My friends 13 needed to have the transmission replaced out of pocket. $4000. Wife’s car had the transmission replaced under warranty too. Nissan in general have weak transmissions.
Because people will still buy it only for the badge. Everything you get in Toyota these days is at least ten years outdated, and the quality of materials used are just cheap. They don’t even bother with giving you a somewhat pleasant interior from comfort and aesthetic point of view. Why would they bother with that you will still go and spend 50 - 60k because it’s a Toyota. If this trend continues it just tells you that Toyota as a Brand does not care about you the consumer.
In addition to the third row seating mid-size SUVs shown in this video there are others to mention as well. Those would be the new generation fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L, the new generation Acura MDX and new generation Nissan Pathfinder along with the luxury cousin new generation Infiniti QX60. Out of these that I mentioned and those mentioned in the video the Jeep Grand Cherokee L would get the top spot. It has two powertrain engines so far, more trim levels available, better towing capacity and better off roading capabilities than the ones I mentioned and the ones mentioned in the video. Depending on trim levels there's also an interior camera, night vision camera and massaging front seats.
@Jace Higgs Generally speaking, reliability for the Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles historically is average. I wished it was above average, but it's not terrible like what you're assuming. Up until this day I still see couple first generation Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles here and there driving on the road. That generation is from model years 1993 to 1998. The same can be said for the second generation which is from model years 1999 to 2004. Couple to a few I still see driving on the road. I still see a select few to some third generation Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles still driving on the road. That third generation and I have one of them is from model years 2005 to 2010. For the outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee I see lots of them on the road. Reliability is not too bad. It's ok. With this new fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L and very soon to be released two row version of that vehicle, reliability could be the same like what I mentioned or could be a little better. I have intentions on getting the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Sometime in 2023 a purchase will be made. The BMW vehicles, Audi vehicles and few other brands have low levels of reliability. With this fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep's target now is to compete with the luxury branded mid-size third row seating SUVs. Base price for this new generation is a little less than $39,000. The top trim level is between $62,000 to $65,000. Jeep teamed up with Alfa Romeo and this is why for this new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee materials used for the interior of the vehicle regardless of trim level is more premium than the materials used in the outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. There are six trim levels available at the moment for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L which is another reason why the price range is from the high 30,000 to the middle 60,000. Other vehicle brands on average would have either three or four trim levels.

Are there any good new large SUV's worth buying?
No mention of the Kia Sorento? 3-Row and has a hybrid option.
Is ok to explain but i prefer show and sit in the car to see how comfortable looks
Glad I bought the highlander Hybrid
What about the Volkswagen atlas?
Not sure what you’re talking about. I have a 23 Toyota Highlander platinum but the doors lock automatically and has a 12 inch screen.
Totally agree each offers excellent reliability 🙏🏿
Good job Shari, but why the Ford Explorer is not one of the top 5 ?
Because its reliability is shit
2021 Highlander vs. Pathfinder please?
Highlander all the way...Nissan's quality is really diminishing
Whats wrong with the Toyota 4 Runner?
Don’t think that’s 3 row
@@wandrfire what is it?
@@amwot6699 I believe 4 runners are only 2 row right?
@@wandrfire I think some you have to make special order.
How about the 2022 Acura MDX?
That's a luxury suv
I feel like the pilot is a great vehicle.. but the zf 9 speed transmission??? Idk how long that's good to last??
Get the transmission update and take care of it. I’ve seen several vehicles utilize the zf9 get into the 300ks
I was doing some research and the 2023 honda pilot is probably coming out with the honda 10 speed transmission
@@truckbuild4213 yea the 10 speed gearbox is a gem. I just got my 2018 Acura TLX a spec that uses the ZF9 and a lot of people are saying it’s great once you get the transmission software update.
Am just going to wait for the 2023 honda pilot.. see if they use the 10 speed transmission
Thank you
Which one the fastest tho?
@Mctrician2 Iots of people care because if you live places with hills you would need that extra speed and power to climb it
Good arguments , well chosen
...next time find the durability of those cars...😃🤓
Toyota Highlander got less space in 3rd row.
Ford explorer is kind of three row, others are not even close. With thid row it(not the model) can still take two full size luggages.
The review should also include the nissan pathfinder
No. My friends 13 needed to have the transmission replaced out of pocket. $4000. Wife’s car had the transmission replaced under warranty too. Nissan in general have weak transmissions.
Toyota continues to use outdated infotainment systems. Don’t understand why, $30k roque has 360 camera that 44k Toyota doesn’t
Love toyota but everything toyota use today so outdated. The only reason people buy tpyota because the reliability
They have been very lazy and my family decided to change for good. Hyundai or kia and even American brands.
CX-9 is a luxury redifined
Why not include the Ford Explorer ?
How. About. The. Chevrolet traverce
Hi bud, Why don't you add a subaru to your list. Can u pleases add subaru to next video onwards
No one loves Toyota, it's the tough life makes you to love it. Just like no one's dream is to own a house when they were kids.
Number 1 is the Toyota rav4 2016 best year
So basically all Asian OE vehicles. I will go with the Korean OE vehicles for superior styling and warranty.
Your opinion I guess 👀
With a price tag of 70-80k for an unreliable JEEP. 🤢
That range just get an expedition, navigator, Tahoe, hell you're almost to escalade pricing.
