This guy just seems like a really chill hard working chef who’s passionate about his cultures food, I’m glad he wants to share all of this amazing cuisine, looks so damn good!
I live in Portland, and have had his sando's countless times. I seek his sando's out more than any other food cart. He deserves all the best, he really does share his Japan, you can taste it! Well done Taiki!!!
Dp you know when they will open up again? iv been in portland for a year and some change now and i would LOVE to try this place. google maps says its temporary closed tho
I can't wait for them to open either! I have been craving his sandos for a little while now! If I notice him open, I will write you a message here, to let you know! I can't wait for you to try one!
This food truck is my favorite, every time I’m in portland this is a spot I have to stop by!! Loved seeing the behind the scenes and learning about the owner’s story. Let me tell y’all these sandwiches are the BEST and you can taste the soul put into those bad boys.
The way he acted when he talked about people visiting his food truck from out of town was about the most wholesome thing in the world. Keep this guy in business.. he needs a full blown restaurant!!
Taiki is my boy!!! I see him all the time here in Portland. He is so friendly and I became a regular sometime last year before they moved locations. I already had a love for Japanese egg salad, but he made it 100X stronger. I would come here 3 times a week. Sometimes get two sandwiches at once! I love the miso katsu chicken and the chicken nanban. So amazing. Much love Taiki and Tokyo Sando!
The woman at 5:30 is the sweetest, kindest person I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with. RIP to a legendary sando. If they ever come back, I'll be first in line.
I love the way he talks. everything he says is exactly what he means. I guess when English isn't your first language you have to think more about what you say and it leads to better results
Oishi! My daughter and I visited the University of Portland over the weekend and this was our #1 stop. We had the Tokyo teriyaki egg sando (a.k.a. Teri tama sando) and Miso pork katsu sando. They were absolutely amazing!!!Taiki Nakajima and the young lady who took our order were so incredibly genuine, and a pleasure to talk to. We’re hooked.
@@Cyyhjiyffree really good!! I got an egg salad sando, potatoes salad and the soup they had. Everything was fire!! I would recommend placing an order online instead of showing up.
Omg the best thing I’ve ever ate! I’m in Seattle and will plan trips to Portland just so I can go get the pork katsu! If you are ever in Portland pleaseeeee go!
I like how you put some focus on Tokyo Sando's Instagram. I was wondering how you find all of these food vendors, but now I understand that social media probably plays a significant role in that
Bruh, that scary kid photo from the scary movie at 3:12 made me trip put, though I was seeing shit and rewing it but he must have it in his food truck 🚚 had me shitting bricks for a second
Just moved to Portland from San José, CA. I must say the food out here is FANTASTIC. I wouldn’t be surprised that these sandwiches are BOMB. It’s really hard to find crappy food here.
Sure, they'll try and burn the Federal courthouse to the ground, fight with the police and Federal troops every night, and riot and loot the downtown... but the food trucks?. Amazing!!!!!😝👏
@@bachtomin213 yeah, none of those things are related. Congrats on the most unnecessary comment. Also, anyone who fights the police nightly deserves the best food. 😊
If I ever get to go back to Portland, first Tokyo Sando, then Blue Star Donuts. I've done the 12 hour days working for family, good on him for traveling.
@@DannyOVideos Nothing is wrong with Portland. It's a fun city. The people hating on Portland just don't like the politics and talk smack because they have nothing else to do with their miserable lives.

I like to try this food. When I was at the U of O I met lots of students from all over the wold and got the chance to try their foods. Food and Culture!!!
YES!! We were in Portland over the summer for a couple days during vacations and randomly found this food truck. We ate there twice in the sapn I'd two days it was so good. The Miso Tofu Sando is literally one of the best tasting things I've ever eaten. This man is amazing!!
I remember I went on one of the first days it was open, super long line. Waited even longer than I thought I was going to, hangry and pissed AF by the time I got to the window and ordered. But when I took a bite out of my Ebi Sando, by god a smile just broke out across my face and I immediately knew the wait was more than worth it.
I went here a month a go and let me tell you, it is even better than it looks. It was 100% the best sandwiches I had and some of the best food I've had in my life. They fucking kill it!
My favorite part is how Munchies doesn't link to the website of the place they're supporting, or even so much as mention its name in either the title or the video description.
"I'm not just making sandwiches, I'm sharing my Japan" - what a legend
So dramatic. I keep dying children alive in a helicopter and I don't have no 8:15 of exposition about it.
@@mcabros you are dramatic, you’re just mad you get no glory.
