Some people say the magic starts at 12:00. I think it starts at 6:00. I think this may be the most extraordinarily beautiful piece of music ever created. I like lots of progressive rock, but this "song" is in a class of its own. It is a singular event. Nothing else can touch it. It is like the birth of the universe.
It's like you climbed out of my head. Obviosly listen to the who album (voyage 34). Parts 1+2 are linked musically. Phase iii is a remix not actually made by procupine -tree. Phase 4 is awful. skip it.
I've listened to hundrends of thousands pieces... from 12:16 this piece is The Best Ever.People would sure quieten...and listen the gem. And that trip was really necessary ...
very few.... very feew in the world.... yes very particular individual, a small amount of people in this would world fall in love with this kinda music. this is not only just music, its a story.. it turns into something else when i find myself in Phase iii...........................................
That part after 12 minutes has only 3 chords em cadd9 and d but man does it sound so good what a way to use a simple music but turn it to a fucking amazing sound. Man Steven is a genuis
Whole song is fantastic, from beginning to end. I especially love the intro for it's quirkiness and weird lines, and then the guitar and the nostalgic keyboards that happen afterwards.
Imagine doing LSD, listening to this, then hearing that very last line, "Is this trip really necessary?" Ha! It could send you on a downwards spiral...
Been there done that my friend. Porcupine tree has given meaning to the chaos in my life. Steven Wilson when he passes will be given a spot in heaven cuz he helped so many people and prevented suicide. God bless Steven.
the entire album is better than anything floyd has ever done. the album is genus and one of the few i keep n repeat when I'm...exploring the cosmos...yea...the cosmos.

From 6 minutes on it's essentially a love letter to Pink Floyd. One of my favourite PT songs. It lifts you up.
agreed
Makes you dive into another dimension this song!!
One of Steven's best guitar solos. Perfection
Best music ever made
Completely agreed..

This proves you don't need any drug in order to fly and to stand on end.

Bryan has been amusing his friends by chewing on some plastic flash bulbs!
A perfect song

Okay cut to the chase
Who is on acid listening to Voyage in entirety?
You don't need acid to appreciate Porcupine Tree. But you might need Porcupine Tree to appreciate acid.
@@PennyDreadful1 True Enough...
12:16
That’s the exact time I got arrested
SuPeR !
My favorite PT song
Hi guys can you tell if there is something better Wilson wrote than 12:17+ ???
Milena Smyl Dark Matter is quite good
.3 sounds a LOT like it but it's too short
Part from 13:50
"If it were possible during a riot to spray small doses of LSD from a helicopter into the air... People would soon quieten..." - so true!
W pop
Porcupine Tree, Voyage 34 , Phase II
12:17 and onwards.....BETTER THAN ANYTHING PINK FLOYD HAS EVER DONE!
the entire album is better than anything floyd has ever done. the album is genus and one of the few i keep n repeat when I'm...exploring the cosmos...yea...the cosmos.
LOL, yeah, I gotcha, the cosmos. Me too ;-)
BTW, got any of that "cosmos" to share?
***** Try and listen to Camel. You're gonna love it
Thanks for the suggestion Pat, I'll check it out!
+Chris Kochesky Yeah, but the Phase I sounds like The Wall XD
4:54 There's similar to Run Like Hell of Pink Floyd!!!!!
Brutal. Y ese guiño a Pink Floyd y su "Another brick in the wall"
NICE
just amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me gusta escuchar esta rola bien marihuano.
brilliant ,kinda pink floyd there
Empty spaces
lsd needed, cause porcupine to forgot their roots, through time
Love the music not so keen on some of the cliche vocal samples...
GB3770 are from the 90s ...
Given what I’ve come across in my musical development, I find these less cliche...
Feeling like a pink floyd
Otherworld soloing...
la chitarra che parte al min 4.54 assomiglia all'attacco di another brick in the wall..
