I've seen *tons* of the live songs from this concert from Opeth and Gojira. That alone would be a legendary night. To add Devin Townsend into that mix would be.. good god I can't even imagine.

I was at this show. It was amazing, but it was also freezing. I was off to the side for most of the show, but moved up closer to the front for this song. Still trying to spot myself. I’ve also had beers with them before. Seriously the nicest guys ever.

Hey bro, been enjoying your channel for a while now. Opeth is an amazing band. If you want to listen to live recordings, I would strongly recommend listening to their performance from the Roundhouse Tapes album. The vocal technique employed there is slightly different than their Red Rocks show, and it's closer to the studio recording. Sounds absolutely brutal. I would recommend doing either When or Blackwater Park since you haven't heard them yet. Cheers from Germany!

If I had to point something not perfect for my taste, there's something missing in his clean voice to fully connect with me. He has very good one, but not perfect for my taste. All the others thing are top. Growls deep and I can understand what he say. Instruments perfect. Riffs, riddim,...❤

If you're after another artist who can shred the guitar while producing some of the best vocals going, check out Devin Townsend. His music varies from heavy as hell with Strapping Young Lad through to chilled, ambient solo work. Maybe try Love? to get a small taste.
I know Axe is so tight with tempos, but always his live versions are a little slower than original, I prefer Lopez live versions, even if they are a little faster than studio versions. Lopez gave Opeth their best sound ever and never again has been matched. New drummer Waltteri Väyrynen plays very similiar to Lopez.

Damn his growls are awful in this red rocks performance. Should definitely checkout the roundhouse tapes for live performances over this. It's older so picture quality isn't as good but it's music which is audio and the music is so much better on the roundhouse tapes live concert
