He reminds me of a lot of kids that were on the basketball team in college (D1 program, I was the manager). Kids who came from affluent families tried so hard to be this ‘from the gutter,’ personality, pants sagging, talked with such ignorance etc. One of them changed their ways drastically after his parents dropped in during homecoming weekend. Two Ivy League educated parents and he was like Shiloh - had to maintain an image he saw in movies, rap videos.

Filing for bankruptcy is a slippery slope, particularly when you’re trying to hide money and avoid lawsuits. All or most of your assets are sold to cover your debts. People are convicted all the time for committing bankruptcy fraud. And in some instances find themselves in prison. This guys judgement doesn’t go away until it’s settled or paid in full. The question is how does a college student from an affluent family have so many liabilities that they have to file for bankruptcy protection. Every penny he makes from the NFL will go towards this judgement.
It’s old it’s a whole documentary about it,he has to file Bankruptcy in each state he lives, he filed at Jackson as well.

It depends which type of bankruptcy he filed as to what he’ll have to pay back. But typically in a personal bankruptcy the individual who files doesn’t walk away owing nothing. There will be a court hearing where his creditors can argue in front of a judge that Sanders should be forced to repay all or some of his debts. Particularly with NIL money and a potential NFL contract on his horizon, Shilo will likely end up paying something and if he fails to do so he won’t be released from bankruptcy and will have a difficult time getting credit.
He is playing the victim card and daddy will come to the rescue!!
Accountability would have had this over and done with in 2015 or even show up to the court date so you didn’t lose the case and Smitty im done with you back to no balls state

In a settlement, you can negotiate a lump sum. If the suit was 11.6 mil, he can negotiate down to half that. If he files Bankruptcy, he can negotiate way down to make it go away or he can ride out the publicity and not pay anything. He setup a trust and a LLC. All of the assets he enjoys are procured through those entities and he's an employee of those entities. That's how that stuff is protected. Not saying I agree with the strategy, just saying that's the move. Personally, I'd negotiate a settlement with a NDA to make it go away.
I think with JB and Matt and other guests of maturety will help Smitty understand that the older Generation uses logic and common sense to see the bigger picture... but then again, probably not

My grandad owned a a couple businesses in his life, he always had "shell companies" just in case something goes wrong he was protected. We making a bigger deal out of this than we need to. The judgement was a default judgement, even then, let’s not act like courts are always in the right one way or another. That certainly goes for criminal courts & civil all the same.
Do people who have credit cards fraudulently opened in their name only to get sued and receive a default judgement because they didn’t attend or know about it deserve that judgement? Sure, the credit card company won the case which is the end all be all your going off here.
