Pair valve delete doesn't give you any performance. You need it plugged when tuning cause it throws off the wideband sensor. After tuning, it can be unplugged sinse the stock narrow band sensor only really worls at idle and low/partial throttle. The pair valve males the catalytic convertor more efficient and makes it so that the cat doesnt get clogged. If you delete your cat, you'll hear those pops. Its just exhaust gasses combusting in your pipes. Of you delete your car you can remove the pair no problem, but if you keel your cat, keep your pair valve aswell.
Funny. I couldn’t stop laughing at the frustration of unclipping that harness. I have been there many times. The simplest things are the hardest sometimes.
Excellent!! Yes so the front jug spikes I picked up on eBay and the rear spike I made myself.. I bought the spike from studsandspikes.com and re threaded a 1/4-20 bolt shank to match the Fury threads thru in some loctite and called it a day!!
No Problem brother!! It’s called a Crampbuster! I have carpel tunnel so it’s a little clip that goes on the throttle reliving pressure making it ALOT Easier to ride even on long rides.
Its not diluted its burned in the catalytic. Without that air your catalytic cant burn the leftover fuel in your exhaust and that gas will destroy it instead of burning it.
Just did mine and didn’t remove the tank and left the solenoid in place just took off the hoses.i also bike the clip to the solenoid but I think it will stay plugged in just like that
Hi , was wondering how long the stock clutch cable is . i snapped mine and i have mini apes on mine and was wondering if the stock s gonna fit . cheers
Hello, Stock length is about 57” inches This is the OEM Honda stock part number: 22870-MFR-670 Im not positive that the stock size will fit with mini apes you may have to add additional length to compensate with the bar height. You could try it though. The cable is about $30.. or look up the mini ape manufacturer recommends for something like that to be as accurate as possible ✌️
@@Thevalleygarage Hi . thanks for taking the time to measure the clutch . i measured mine and its 63 " with plenty of slack in it so it might actually fit . Once again i really appreciate to send the measurement and also the stock number . you re a great guy .
@@Thevalleygarage still havent bought one yet . lol. i ll try to visit a Honda dealership and order one in . i live in Australia and parts here are expensive . ive done an oil change and a shaft oil change watching your vids . thanks heaps . would be great if you do a radiator fluid change video . keep up the good work my friend .
That’s a great question. I personally haven’t found the need to check. I’m going on 14,000 miles on one of mine. I haven’t checked it once… but Any kind of preventative maintenance doesn’t hurt! 🤘😁
Most common is it the battery. Don’t check for voltage, Check for the CCA Cold Cranking Amps. CCA is the rating for starting the bike regardless of hot or cold. If you have a weak battery it can even harder for a bike to start. Id check that first. Try and recreate the problem and test start there first.
@@Thevalleygarage Are there screw holes on the cobra exhaust so I can connect an oxygen sensor like on the stock exhaust? Or will I drill through them?
@@DuyNguyen86868 I don’t know if Cobra sells pipes with oxygen sensors options.. the exhaust I had didn’t have a hole.. my 2015 doesn’t have O2 sensors either.. Worse case scenario is you might have to drill
@@Thevalleygarage What is the name of the exhaust pipe you are using? @@DuyNguyen86868 That would make sense to me but I didn’t want to assume that.. My exhaust however is 100% custom made. Since my Fury my Fury has no O2 sensor I could get away with it.. your makin the better move with the Cobra’s I absolutely love the Deep tone!! Sounds like a Beast!!!!
Depends on how far you want to mod the your bike. There are very minimal power gains being stock pipe and stock air filter/cleaner... It’s more for sound and deceleration pop that you will get once you take off the stock pipes. If you haven’t done it already.. I liked the decel pop you get.. it’s loud and badass!!! My personal opinion it’s always worth it if your not stock.
Been thinking about this mod for a while. Do you think this kit from smartmoto would work on an Interstate? Pretty sure Interstate, Stateline, and Fury all have the same engine. Great video!
Yeah so the pair valve will work on any of Hondas 1300cc motors.. check the Fury forums as well. I know there’s a ton of Interstate enthusiasts you can ask there. Also take a look at your interstate locations pair valve locations… They should be the same. Honda use the same motors to keep the cost down… I would say the kits should fit
@@Thevalleygarage I appreciate it. My bike has a set of shortys from SLK that were already on it when I bought it, and I've been wanting to do the pair valve delete since I bought the bike in July.
I currently have a 240 back tire I wanna go bigger Any suggestions? What’s the biggest I can go? And do you know anyone who will do it? I have a 2016 fury
It's a sol-en-noid, not a soyanoid. I still get a little "pop" and backfire at lower rpms when I let off the throttle after removing the valve, but not as bad as before.
😂 Soyanoid!! Yup that’s sounds about right though I kinda miss the popping a bit… it was a signature sound all my neighbors know it was me coming down the road! 🤘
The PAIR is designed to burn unburnt fuel on the exhaust stroke. There is a wasted spark on the exhaust stroke and, when combined with fresh air after the valve, will ignite that unburnt fuel. This burning creates a bang/pop/snap sound and is most noticeable with aftermarket straight-blow exhausts. The PAIR is blocked when dyno-testing simply to measure the air/fuel use. Blocking the PAIR makes absolutely NO difference to performance and could/will be detrimental to any cat/conv in the system. Personally, I like the snap/crackle/pop (flames) on decel and the extra 2lbs weight is like the difference of having and not having a crap. Oh, the blanking plug on the solenoid, should be either a 1k or 10k resistor (not a jumper). In many cases, Honda use a 2-way HM-090 plug there.
Theoretically, yes, but the pair valves are controlled by your throttle response or they would still be operating and can cause a vacuum problem in the.. I would say at the very minimum block off plate should be installed… SLK Customs sells them he basic plated needed without the extra air box plug and sensor loop 🤘😝
It's just as dumb as the epa crap on diesel trucks dpf filter and Def fuel Regens. Let's catch all the smoke to help the environment. But it clogs the filter and restricts the flow destroying motors. I know let's make a flammable cat piss, idle the engine at super high rpms for an hour straight to super heat the exhaust, add the cat piss to burn off the carbon in the filter the also is highly toxic even more so than exhaust and dump it into the environment adding wear and tear to all engine components at the owners expense. That essentially is worse for the environment we claim to be helping but generates billions in an additional fuel expenses, parts, labor etc for the industry manufacturers while doing nothing positive for the pollution.
