      Actually you can't. Honda had come up with a 10 year lifespan for their bikes. After 10 years they will no longer sell you parts or work on it. They won't even do maintenance on it. You might make it 20 years, but the last 10 years you will be on your own, with no support from Honda. You will have to work on it and maintain it yourself, and find parts somehow. This is true even for the $30K Goldwing. If you have an older Harley, the aftermarket makes all the parts you need, and there are a ton of independent Harley shops out there that are not part of Harley Davidson. They work on Knuckleheads, Panheads, Shovelheads, EVOs, and Twin Cams. With a Harley you also get the Harley feel and sound. This bike looks good. It is reasonably comfortable. But you don't get that Harley shake and wonderful sound. I've never owned one, but I did ride one. I found it somewhat boring. My '06 Sportster 1200 (carbureted, simple and easy to work on) is WAY more fun to ride.

    I've had one of these for about 7 years now. I made slight adjustments on the back suspension and it's nice and soft for me. The fact the chopper craze stopped actually helps these bikes stand out even more now. I've had many mistake it for a custom Harley,even at a Harley dealer!

      Hi, just curious. I’ve heard a few people say that they would buy the Fury if it had an 1800cc engine. Do you ever have trouble passing anybody on the highway when you need to pass them? It has plenty of power to pass? Thank you!

    • @Cpt-Night-ajg
      @Cpt-Night-ajg 3 роки тому +2

      @@Burzurk1987 the 1300 can easily pass on the interstate. I also have a stage one kit basically and I do not at all feel a lack of power. It's much lighter than an 1800 would be so it feels like it pull comparable. I also now own an 1800cc Indian chieftain to compare. The 1800cc still has not convinced me trade or sell the Fury.

    • @Burzurk1987
      @Burzurk1987 3 роки тому

      @@Cpt-Night-ajg interesting! That’s good to know about the Fury’s passing power! I’m getting closer to buying one with the ABS. I like the Indian Super Chief Limited, but it’s more than twice as expensive as the Fury!! I can buy the Fury very easily. The Indian is much more of an investment. The Super Chief is so nice! But so is that Fury and at a much better price!

    • @Cpt-Night-ajg
      @Cpt-Night-ajg 3 роки тому

      @@Burzurk1987 well the Super Chief would Definitly still be more powerful. At least in my experience so far the liquid cooled Fury will get more top end with the stage one, you have plenty of power for a casual pass on the he low end and you can Rev it out and get a lot of punch on the top end too. My chieftain with the stage one has arm ripping torque from 2-4k then almost immediately go enemic after that. Without luggage the chieftain's torque is almost too much, and I would not ride it in sport without loading it up. The Fury has plenty of power, the Indian has rediculous power!
      For the feel of the bike I personally love the stretch on the legs and all the open space the Fury has. It's my preference for hot weather or short rides and it's a good 250lbs lighter than my chieftain.
      But the Chieftain also handles all speeds really well, even slow speed and u turn. I can actually do a tighter utrurn on the Chieftain than the Fury. The wheel base on the Fury just cannot allow it a tighter turn than the Chieftain, and the Chieftains wheel turns further in full lock.
      Both bikes have everyone talking and turning heads. Just different and unique enough from Harley to really draw attention.

      @@Cpt-Night-ajg I really want a Super Chief, but I was thinking I could start off with the Honda Fury. I read and heard that it was very well engineered by the Japanese. I also have seen many video reviews and they all say it’s a very maneuverable, steady, smooth and reliable motorcycle! Everybody says great things about it! I like it’s track record for my first bike. You also can’t beat the pricetag! That Super Chief is more expensive than some brand new cars.

    I have a 2010 and it's my 5th bike. It fits my lifestyle, but coming from 600s and 1000s I can still push this bike. Rides with 20+ sport bikes and I love it. Fun to push it to its limits and act 21 again. Yes it can do that with minimal scrapes on corners. The torque is great in low to mid range. Yes, I kinda want a 6th speed overdrive for the long rides. Last, it gets more compliments than anytime on the road. People still scratch their head on what it is and also I like to be unique...love how rarely anyone has it and I pull up unique!

    I own one because of short inseam issues. Most of my motorcycle buddies look. Those I have offered a spin on, really liked it. I love how it handles. The downside is that accessories are scarce. It is a price I am willing to pay.
    I was concerned about the long rake causing handling issues. No so much. It does not have the best turning radius. That being said, it has a low center of gravity and handles like a dream for long rides and commuting alike.

    • @macxpert3588
      @macxpert3588 3 роки тому +9

      The tank is quite OK. You can get 160 to 180 Kilometres around town before the fuel light comes on and better than 230 Kilometers before the fuel light comes on when out of the city. Or if you prefer 16 to 18 Kilometres per litre in town and 23 to 26 Kilometres per litre out on the highway. 5th gear is already an overdrive so you can easily get by with 5 gears (come March 2021 I'll have had mine for 11 years).

      The vast majority of the world lane filters... It's allowed in California and is a huge safety perk and time savings measure when done safely.

      Also fwiw I watched him lane splitting and he's doing so illegally most of the time.
      In ca to be legal you must be in between two lanes of traffic travelling the same direction.

    So this must be a tiny market segment that Honda can still serve with little to no expense, other than materials. But you have to know this is more cruiser, with part Chopper, than anything else. If you were riding for the "pose" and did a few miles now and then, it works.

    Fury or Raider, is my next bike, gave up on the Harley as a last bike. I don't want to fix ANYTHING, I just want to ride!! Low and slow, right now the Z is just too tempting to act up....at 59 crashing hurts, no more stunts!

    I wouldn't take one of those bikes if you gave it to me. I'm stunned they're still making them.
    Let's put that Africa Twin 1100 engine in a cb500F frame.

    • @blipco5

      Bunnyshooter 223 - I am a naked bike guy and the Rebel is not my style of bike at all as it's a cruiser but Honda has put an 1100 parallel twin in it, which would make it a fun bike.
      But not as fun as an upright naked such as the cb500F with that 1100. Call it the cb1100F.

    A great bar hopper cruiser-type bike. But I would have loved to see the former VTX 1800 engine in the Fury instead of the 1300cc engine. Imagine that thing with 1800cc...

    Ahh, the Fury - bonkers to think that it wears a Honda badge, yet the obvious choice for when you can't afford or get your grubby paws on a Goldwing; wonder if Honda SA will bring it in, yet also wondering how many times over we'll have to pay as opposed to what we should... Great video as per use, guys! :D

  • @Twentyfourvalves
    @Twentyfourvalves 4 роки тому +1

    The Honda Fury was always the nicer ride out of the "newer" three 1300cc models (Sabre, Fury, Stateline), despite sharing the same power plant and final drive. There is definitely a huge difference in feel, offered by its funky ergonomics. What you said about Hondas' timing was the key. Not only were they late to the chopper game in general, but worse yet, from its' announcement to when dealers received them, was over a year of waiting! A lot of customers pulled their deposits as they got tired of waiting. Regardless, it is an awesome bike for the money, if you like the styling.

    It's attractive, looks the part, likely dependable. Honda's to me are motorcycle appliances, they just don't have the character. I owned a Shadow years ago (only because sportsters were backlogged by 6-8 months in the late 80s) and grew tired of it quickly. The value drops like cannonball. Buy a used Honda.
