Thanks Nicolas. Agree with you; CCS is a must, since it appears to be developing into the European standard, in preference to ChaDeMo. All we need next is for Ecotricity to make their chargers much more reliable with CCS-based cars!
A pity CCS isn't a retro fit for the ZE40. Having said that I charge away from home so rarely that the 22 kw charge rate has been totally fine other than the day when I did 370 miles. Peugeot are going for 100 kw CCS and I think that's way more worth having than 50 kw that Renault have gone for. The range of the Zoe is very good though.
Many thanks for the this Nick, really helpful. Amazed that a car with a 50kwh battery has CCS as an optional extra which is not available on its entry level model.
I think they thought seeing current model sells so well with 22kw AC that they could sell new model for a lower price point without CCS i do get the logic.
our dealer did not offer CCS on the iconic...only the GT. .... plus they quoted €400 to add a camera to an iconic....although the city park package includes front sensors, auto park and a camera...for €500...it's complicated, watch Nick's good youtube channel and do your homework before buying a new zoe.
Hiya Nick! Great video and super helpful! I’m looking to purchase a used ZE50. How can I tell, from looking online, that it comes with CCS? Or will I just need to enquire with the dealer? Thanks!

Fact for you David Bowie has same colour eyes just different sized pupils, giving the effect of them not being same colour. And Jon Yes totally natural and not that uncommon.
By the time you add the options you need, you might as well get a BMW i3. Awesome car, premium brand, and will hold it's value much better when you come to change.
Hi Nicolas... if leasing a Zoe is CCS worth it? Don't care about Renault financial services resale value if so. This would just be for my convenience. Would have a home charger.
We are not going for CCS like we didnt go for the quick charge system last time - we do not need it and because its a newer technology for renault and we have already replaced £3000 worth of charging unit under warranty we will go with tried and tested tech - sshhh I know nick will beat me up for this comment. Robert Dodge Robert it’s not if you need CCS it’s All about the resale value. Charging on granny is not recommended as 3 pin plugs weren’t decide to pull that amount of current regularly if your doing that then regular checks from a trained electrician are a must
Thanks, Nick. Just what we need to know! Makes the new e-Golf - real world range 130ish miles - look a bit lame. As you say, pity some of the options are a bit odd, especially making CCS an extra. Ciao.
From the specs you have announced here Nick. The only one I would choose it the GT Line. It ticks all the boxes. Would love the 17” wheels too. Would really give the car a more attractive sportier look. Great video Nick 👍
