Great video! My stylist did my first relaxer after being natural for 7 years. He used Affirm in normal strength, but only left it for half the time and not the full 15-18 minutes, so I can have some texture and I love it. But for my retouch in 12 weeks, I want to self relax and use the Olaplex 1 and 2. Thank you again for your video! It’s a great guide!
Great results I Recently relax my hair after being natural for five years as well. I am currently 12 weeks post relaxer. I will be stretching till maybe 15-24 weeks fingers crossed lol I will be recording the process but guuurl u did that 💕
Thanks a lot good luck on the stretching cause you the new growth is a whole lot to deal with after 12 weeks. I will be looking out for your video. Much love
My stylist used affirm relaxer on my hair and I had wonderful results but, I used the olaplex once and it left my hair dry and extra frizzy. Wonderful job relaxing your hair 😊
Omg sorry to hear that but I heard a few other person complain about the Olaplex, you should try Moroccan Oil products see how that works for your hair. Thank you very much.
Very thorough, thank you! I was wondering how someone’s results were as they followed Olaplex’s directions because of the delay to neutralize. You seem to have good results! Any issues now that it’s been some months after this video?
Hi no I haven't experienced any issues I still use it all the time. My filming device got broken and because of covid protocols I haven't received the filming equipment I ordered from alibaba. I will try to use my phone to do some videos soon
Hi, how long did you keep the relaxer in for including smoothing? My hair seems resistant to relaxers. I'm using a lye relaxer but I never seem to get it straight enough. I don't have a decent stylist where I live, unfortunately.
Hi I usually do 10 - 13 minutes for application and smoothing. I'm sorry to hear that but honestly maybe you should rest your hair do protective styles for about 3-6 months then try again. Sometimes our hair just need a break from chemicals. Let me know how it goes

Thanks a lot, I used a paddle brush with iron bristles.

@ ** Queen B Life & Beauty Thank you, I was thinking I would need to do that. Thanks again
Why didn't you shampoo your hair? Is the neutralizing shampoo is meant to stop the chemical process?
Ofcourse I shampoo my hair and yes the neutralizing shampoo stops the chemical from processing.
What is the ph of the Affirm 5 in 1 Reconstructor?
