N54 and M52 are some of the best motors BMW has made. Congrats on the builds John, you've got some sick cars!
M50, M52, S50 (US & UK versions), S38, S52, S54, S55, S58, N54, B58 are all the best for power
S63 is my best choice for cheap power studded with gaskets and two twin turbskis over 1000whp on 15lbs
@@sneezinhatch cheap? S63? The vehicles that are equipped with s63 are expensive as hell I would say best cheap power is getting any M5X and strap a snail to and be more reliable than a S63 .... My personal preference is to stay away from v8s from BMW especially those with the piezo style injectors but that's just me cause the N63 had to have how many different versions just to be considered "reliable"
@@sneezinhatch cheap? And all the 1000+ cars I've seen are built motors. Best bang for the buck is the m52 imo. Studs and gasket can handle 600whp, maxed out a stock m52 at 715whp before going fully built. But this was 2005 alot has changed since then to make power easier to obtain. Ecus, e85 injectors etc. Biggest injectors then was the Bosch 160lb.😂

Hell yea M52 power.I love it. A little biased since my father/son project growing up was the world's first 1000whp m52 back in 06-07. In the beginning all the so called experts said 350-400 was the max. Once we made over 700whp on stock internals we knew we were on to something.

FYI, pretty sure that's an *M*52, not an *N*52. The N52 was in the E9x 325, 328, & 330 and looks much more modern than what you see in this car. The N52 also doesn't like boost very much. Source: An N52 powered E90 330i was my first car

E90 and e92 328's are indeed n52 and n51. The evolution of the m52 from a e36 or e39. But a n52 is magnizium titanium alloy block that is very weak and light. N52 also has very thin rods and pistons for n.a. makes 240 hp

The car made 940 on a 6875 before… he said that dyno pull was on 37 psi. Watch the entire video
Title is still wrong and misleading. N54's dont live long over 700 hp on a stock block. If you have watched this channel, thats the least seat sucking acceleration I have ever seen on a tiny 135 "700 hp car". Case and point... different head not ported ( blew up the first one obviosly )

It's pretty easy actually, better stock ecu than my ls that's for sure

Even if you put 2 n55’s together you will not gonna see 1k hp 😅
What are you a fan of? American big V8s, they just make a lot of noise but doesn’t actually go anywhere! 😂😂😂European cars are the best. American cars are just big noise engines that’s drinks a lot of fuel, but are actually very slow and not a very nice design.
