- I am SOOOO EXCITED to finally welcome the lovely @AlyssaBeltempo to the channel! Alyssa and I have been online friends for a few years now, and we are both so stoked to finally make this collab a reality! Alyssa is the queen of slow fashion, always encouraging creativity over consumption and finding joy in the wardrobe you already have. This reminds me so much of a day when my daughter and I were co-opted to advise my sister on her clothing shop. It was great fun. It was like being her personal shoppers. We steered her to great buys...quite often not where she was heading in styles.
I'd forgotten this and it's lovely remembering that day through your fun and informative video.

thank you for this video, it is so nice to see two youtubers that I'm subscribed to pair up.
I also want to especially thank you for posting about the illegal attack war in Ukraine. I am German and my great-uncle died in Kyiv in 1942. I was taught about the guilt and the shame by my parents. There is nothing, no political tensions that justify an attack war, not in 1939 and not now.
I find it difficult to watch many channels I used to watch because obviously for them and many people it is business as usual. It is not for me, all peace and friendlyness from Germany in the last 80 years has been for nothing. I just wanted to thank you for mentioning it.

Love this collaboration! I follow Alyssa and have done a few of her Workshops. I had seen your channel before , but as a boho maximalist with lots of prints and layers, couldn’t relate to the extreme minimalism. So fun to see your growth to a more moderate level! This was so fun to see!
I agree. I have seen some of Christina's videos in the past and didn't resonate with the extreme minimalism. I'm more of a classic eclectic trying to balance extremes of an overweight hourglass figure. But I do get inspiration from shop your closet videos and appreciate a more moderate approach to shopping. Pieces wear out and need to be replaced and it's important to be mindful and aware of what is currently trending to shop in a contentious way.

Those gorgeous blue boots reminded me of Carrie's first wedding outfit choice in the first SATC movie. I could imagine a bride wearing those with a handkerchief hem dress Stevie Nicks style. Overall great combos and absolutely relevant to my personal style. Always finding inspiration from both you lovely lasses.

I love both of you!! Alyssa is sooo gentle with her subject and you are so open to ideas! I started getting a lot more from my wardrobe when I moved away from "occasion wear" and "everyday clothes". Wear all of your clothes all of the time all day; it's all about the styling!! (For example, re: your blue boots: I often have a really great day at work when I wear a remarkable pair of shoes, because of all the interesting and sometimes completely unexpected conversations they start: I'm a doctor 😂😂😂).

I got into my shoes and put away the heavy duty winter stuff and ventured into my scarf collection today! I have had the most entertaining afternoon! I am currently wearing a brown chiffon scarf with ribbons and baubles! I forgot it existed! Playing dress up all afternoon! I refund a gorgeous white silk scarf from Florence and an amazing print scarf, a gift from friends who were in India. Lots of ideas popping into my head! Some fun! I also have a big giveaway pile! Big fan of Alyssa and have done several “shop your closet” workshops.

Sometimes it really helps to fold..? the jeans. I mean not to roll the leg but just fold it up once. Sarah Jessica Parker is a good example of this. You can adjust the fold, and it will make a really big difference. Helps to make an outfit more casual, relaxed and a bit less overwhelming when there's a lot going on but also can elevate the outfit and make it look even more thought out. Especially when wearing straight leg jeans and my personal favourite is a straight leg that has an unfinished hem. This is so simple but really changed my life to realize that I don't have to roll the leg if I want my ankles to show... A simple fold will do 😅 anyway, great video. You both seem to have such lovely and fun personalities.

As I am older by at least 25-30 years than both of u I approached the crop top look by shortening a few white T’s so they hit at the waist. Then I style as u do.
@@Darry4645 I'm in my mid-40s and had 3 kids, I dont ever show my waist, but it looks really cute on her. I make it so the top comes right to the top of the pants too.

I love both your channels and Alyssa's advice was brilliant!! I would love to see more of the two of your together! And I need to do this as well! I have a lot of things that I am unsure about but you never know until you style things up. I learned to love my white jeans and midi skirts this way and I am continuing to work on making my leather jacket a focal piece :)
