This band deserves more world wide renown. The absolute talent is insane.
Indeed. I saw their live performance in last September and found no gimmic. Purely great bad. Future hope in heavy and hard music.
日本のロック・メタルはけして死なない。こんなに輝いている。
ASTERISMの結成以前なのか13歳のHal-CAはじめとしたメンバ－のコンテストでの動画も観たが本当に驚異的でしかない。自身も同い年の頃にはバンドもギタ－も弾いていたが比べる迄もなく、周囲にこれだけの演奏技術を持っている者ゃ何より作曲、編曲できる同世代の存在は無かった。ベビ-メタルの世界的ム－ブメンド80年代に起きてから奏法の進化は著しいものが、ネットで情報が入手し易くなったとは云え、それにしても唖然とさせられる。
80年代にOzzyのファ－ストとセカンドのランディのソロを聴いた時にそれまでのソロとは違ったメロディアスな旋律に衝撃と覚えた時以上のものを感じた。ボ－カルが無く、主旋律が明確では無いのにも関わらず、しかもトリオなのに音の隙間が無く常に新たな音が進行し、飽きるどころか緊張感にも近いスリリングな展開に心を揺さぶられる。特にメタル系が好きか演奏経験の持つ者には技術的な部分でも大いに驚かされる。ベース、ドラムの非凡さがあるからこそトリオで成立していると思わずにいられない。
実は、最初の3枚のアルバムは購入したものの聴いてなく、海外のリアクション動画を偶然観て最近になって聞き始めた。デビュ－間もない粗削りとの評価は妥当では無く、迸る情熱に何らリミッタ－を掛けぬ素晴らしい演奏であると心底思った。既にGUERNICAやAnimeticは、円熟味すら感ずるものの常に進化するASTERISMは驚異的である感じずにいられない。海外のリアクション番組で「日本で一番の女性ギタ－リスト」との紹介であったとのコメントがあった。確かに若さと今後の伸びしろや現行の作曲、演奏能力は素晴らしいものがあると思う。
先年、世界で評価される女性バンドのライブに行ったのですが正直、ライブでは正直、期待外れで音の悪さに閉口したのですがASTERISMのファンカムでの演奏から十分に期待を裏切らないと思った。今年は必ずASTERISMを観に行く。自分の子供世代と同じなのですが心を鷲掴みにされた感じがある。
Who needs vocals when you can make a guitar sing like that??? I am in love with this band now!

Best live guitar based trio I've heard since Cream in 1966. These young super stars match well with Cream and the Hendrix Experience, albeit a different form of music.
Would love to hear them do a few covers of Cream or Jimi hits as they would just absolutely kill the string sections.
She is def a fan of the lead guitarist from Loudness, I can hear his influence big time!

@@DMiyash248 Ok don't take this the wrong way, but how the hell do you hear about these bands? I'm always looking for new bands to listen to from Japan or the Ukraine. I find some but a lot of the bands I find sound alot like the newer music of today. I like the diversity that Band-Maid, Aldious, Scandal, and a few others play,
and even bands like Broken by the Scream, Candye Syrup, and DeathRabbits. I even like other bands YumYum Orange, Skull Candy, and Shakalabbits so basically 80's and early 90's sound.

If it makes you feel better I started to play my music on the overhead speakers at my job, now I was told just to go ahead bring my earphones instead ( haters ). And the more interviews I see of Band-Maid just makes me love Kanami even more she is still The Guitar Goddess.
Just to complete the story, I took him to see them live in LA. We stood arms reach from her mouths agape totally mesmerized by her finger work on the guitar. Truly one of the most amazing shows I've ever experienced!

Incredible sound and ability. They bring it in everyone one of their videos too. I love instrumentals, so lack of a singer doesn't bother me. In fact, a singer would be a distraction. The drummer's mannerisms remind me of Charlie Watts, lol. Any one know if they write their own music?
Yes they write their own music. And have done so since HAL-CA (guitar) was only 12 years old.

what is amazing is that Haruka Noma (aka HAL-CA) ... if the video date (2018) is correct, is 16 here. And she got this good in 6 years. She started playing guitar at the age of 10.

The most epic collaboration I think I've ever seen.
She would only turn 16 at the end of the year, so the video was probably recorded around her 15th birthday. But she actually wrote the song itself (well, her parts of it anyway) when she was barely 12. It's the song they played when they won the Yamaha 9th Music Revolution in 2015, and there are a few live videos from back then where she's shredding this on stage (you would have to search for HAL-CA though, as they hadn't officially adopted the name Asterism yet).
This is best proof why Japan can rule the rock market in a few years.
