CRAPPIE (sac-a-lait) Bridge Fishing | Atchafalaya Basin

Went out to find Sac-a-lait aka Crappie with artificial jigs. Found them in deep water next to the bridge columns. Fishing for panfish with ultralight setups is a really fun and relaxing form of fishing.

We fished right past there by that wood structure in the back last time we took my boat there…….how deep were you fishing?

Pretty shallow by that structure, a few feet I think it was. I stuck to the deeper areas around the bridge for most part. 5’ or deeper. Good luck!
