Vertical Jigging SAC-A-LAIT (crappie) in this SUBMERGED TREE

- Found a tree that fell into the water which provided great cover for sac-a-lait (crappie) to hide in. If you can manage to somehow not get snagged on the many branches underwater, there were many fish to be caught by vertical jigging.

Great video that home alone insert was too funny!
lol thanks, couldn’t resist
Spooked you, I would have to change my pants after that LOL!!! You definitely found a good spot in and around that tree. Nice mixed bag session, well done!!!!
I seen it come off the bank, but didn’t expect it to surface near me. Glad it decided to skedaddle lol. It was a great afternoon trip. Thanks Larry!
Vertical jigging is my favorite method for crappies
Catching fish without ever casting, it’s definitely a diff experience, really fun, when they biting. Thanks
Pretty quick bite on the first drop. Big school under there
Those fish were hungry! I would love to have side scan on my fish finder to actually see how many are under there.
That’s the LA Yak tree!! You found your self a little honey hole. It’s funny you can tell when your fishing with a float if it’s a sac a lait, the float goes up for a second instead of down. Those fish or facing looking up and come from the bottom. That gator would have spooked me too!! 🐊🐊🐊😱😱. Keep em coming buddy!
Nice when you can find your own personal honey hole. I need to remember any cork movement to set the hook, since they hit from bottom on up. I saw Cajun Lures have a weed guard for jig heads, that I need to try out. If it can prevent snags, that's a game changer! Same company that makes the jig heads. Thanks for watching Marsh-Mechanic!
What fishing kayak do you have? Can you post few pictures of your setup please. Nice video.
Hey Marsh do you fish in Louisiana and what's your UA-cam channel name
@@tylercoco5231 Yes born and raised in Louisiana it’s only place I fish.
new sub good stuff
Thank you man and thanks for checking it out too
What part of Louisiana are u from?
Lafayette
Hey, I recently got a kayak and I want to do some bass or sac a lait fishing. Do you have a recommendations? I am also in the lafayette area.
Can’t go wrong with the Atchafalaya basin, but watch for boat traffic, it’s really popular spot. Or can try lake Chicot or lake Fausse point. No experience there but people catch a lot of bass. Good luck
@@LaYakFishing do you drop at the main boat launch or is there another spot for kayaks?
@@ToekneeFamany boat launch will work, most have fees, bring some cash
