I remember Nutopia when John and Yoko came up with that phrase. It’s on the "Mind Games" albums back cover. Anyway I was 22 in 1977 and I came from Long Island to the city for some stupid thing where I got fired from my job and I had to have a meeting with the Union to back me up and after the hearing I had time and I decided, “huh I’m gonna see John Lennon today.”
I had my camera as I usually did and still do and I’m like OK where the hell does John Lennon live? So I guess I was in Washington Square, Park. I don’t know. I asked somebody if they knew where John Lennon lived and they told me it was at the Dakota Building and they gave me directions and I went up to the Dakota and I looked up and I’m thinking like, “holy crap this is a big building how am I gonna find John in this building” right?
There was of course, the guardhouse at the entrance and I knew I couldn’t walk past him. How am I gonna get in the building number one, which apartment does John and Yoko live in, number two.
I had no idea, so I walked around the building and I saw a ramp that went down so I followed the ramp down and I saw two security guards talking to one another like face-to-face and I just walked right past them into a stairwell and then climbed all the way to the roof. And then on the roof, I noticed areas where John had stood because I had the Anthony Fawcett book like “oh my God John stood here” so I was taking a picture of the empty space where John was standing and I was just roaming around taking photos of the building over the side and down you know then I came off the roof and I started walking around and then all of a sudden I come to this door. I don’t even know what floor I was on and it had a little brass plaque with “Nutopian Embassy” on it and I’m like “holy crap, oh my God, oh my God, John lives here” so excited I was so excited. I took a photo of the plaque and then I knocked on the door with more excitement than I think I ever had in my life and an Asian woman’s voice answered “hello”, I said hi “is John home” and she said “no”, just like that, and as soon as she said “no” all my excitement just dropped to nothingness I was so upset. I was so sad. I was like oh my God oh my God I was just so heartbroken that he wasn’t there so I sat down on the steps, I wrote a little love letter to him saying I love him so much I love his music, blah blah blah. I gave my name and address and I slipped it under the door and as soon as I slipped it under the door, a little tiny elevator door opened right next to the door and a security guard came out and he’s “like what are you doing here?” I’m like it was pretty obvious what I was doing, and he said “yeah somebody was calling saying that someone’s roaming around and I need all your information in case we find any vandalism we will contact you” so I gave him my information.
So I’m sure there’s a lot of crazy people like me that I’ve done stuff like that and see how annoying it is now but you don’t think like that when you’re a young kid but there was no one else that gave a shit about to do something like that except for John. I gotta find those photos.
I met your mom once at opening night of “New York Rocks” but I didn’t bring that up to her.
So that’s my story and I’m sticking to it !

I'm really hoping that Sean WILL decide to finish the abandoned solo album. Just love his albums. And he's just so multi-talented. I'm really glad that he's now representing his father's work as well.

It is true that if the Beatles adult kids did an album, the origin of it would come from that, but with them all being unique, it is the synergy of that that would be the most wonderful not any expectations relating to the Beatles itself

Julian is not a shareholder in Lennon's estate. Under the terms of the divorce, Cynthia received compensation in 1968 and another payment when Julian reached adulthood. The second payment was halved after Sean was born. But even this had to be demanded through the court, since Yoko was not going to pay. Julian is also not credited in any of the re-releases of his father's work, although Sean and Yoko are featured as producers.

I am very happy that I recently became a citizen of Nutopia
I am going to be honest with you
When I first bought your Asterisms album, I thought that I wasn’t going to like it due to the fact that it is instrumental music
However, when I played it, I discovered that it is an awesome album
I love it very much and I would recommend it to anyone even if they don’t listen to instrumental music this album will not disappoint
Now that album with the lyrics that you say that you abandoned, I hope that you release it sometime in the future because your voice is very beautiful
I am really looking forward to the release of the Mind Games box set in July and as soon as I am finished writing this comment, I am going to download the Luminate app because it sounds very interesting
I want to thank you Sean for everything that you do and I sent hugs and kisses to you and your mom and I also sent hugs and kisses up to heaven for your dad

By the way,I must say the space mix remix of your father John Lennon's "Mind Games",Julian and Sean,reminds me so much one of my songs of one of my bands called Individual Industry which our debut album "Templum Probus" were released in Brazil and worldwidely in 1993 and our debut album "Templum Probus" was remastered and re-released in 2023 in commemoration of its 30th Aniversary from its first release.
Your mix remix spacemix of your father John Lennon's "Mind Games" song reminds of one of my band Individual Industry's song called "Paradise",including "Paradise (Cello Mix)" and specially "Paradise (Water Mix),remasteted and released in 2023.
