Mooncake English yes, I have to teach on line. I just started posting videos on the platform, showing and explaining the lessons to my children as if they were sitting next to me. This way parents don’t feel overwhelmed and the children can get the most of each class. But I am sooo new to all of this, I want to be able to make videos more dynamic for the children eventually.

Hi Mercedes, thanks for watching! I usually have students continue chanting along with the rest of the class. You can also ask those students questions like "who do you think will be the fastest to sit down" (but never who will be the slowest) so that they then have an invested interest to watch.

Do you know how one could objectively measure their progress while learning a new language ?
Hi Diarious, thanks for watching! Good question. For specific words and sentences students actually go through three steps of learning;
1. Repetition, where the teacher says a word and students repeat
2. Recognition, where students are able to recognize the correct answer from a choice of answers
3. Production, where students are able to answer a question using the target language without prompt
You can see which step they currently are at with their learning for specific language and adjust your teaching if necessary.
