that's great !the use of L1 in teaching an esl student makes them have better understanding of whatever u want your students to know but mind u..don't use it through out ur lesson..

So I had been a high school ESL teacher for some years but had to change to kindergartens due to covid reasons (long story) and I just want to say you are a life saver! I hope one day I will get to receive proper early childhood education training but meanwhile it's mooncake english for me.

Hi, I'm new here and your videos are very helpful. Thank you! Just wondering for online weather teaching, how do you decide which weather is correct if you and your students might be in a different countries and the weather might be different?
Hi, thanks so much for watching and welcome to the Mooncake community! When teaching online I would create a character, that could be in the form of a puppet or a character your students know well (e.g pepper pig) and then tell a story. So your puppet might wake up, look out the window to see what they weather is. You can use a ppt or whiteboard to show your student the weather and use that weather as the 'correct' weather for the day. I hope that helps!

Thank you so much for this amazing lesson the problem with Spanish is that there are 2 words: hace sol, hace calor, hace frío, hay nubes, hay viento so I don´t know if to teach first the words sol, viento, nube, lluvia and then the whole sentence
