Me three👍🏻👍🏻😊came here from recommendation from Eric Ramirez Gaming 😊glad I did❤️ If you guys get chance check Eric ‘s channel. I stumbled upon him and love his childlike wonderment of Disney
At least the pilot tried unlike mine where the left Pilot didnt do anything because he didn't know the buttons affect the ride so he just watched the screen
Finally rode it yesterday! Words can’t describe how exhilarating it was to pull the lever to make the jump to light speed, how fun it was to work together with friends and total strangers, and the edge-of-your-seat stress of knowing that you’re responsible for not crashing this thing. Imagineering created the quintessential Star Wars experience with this ride!
It was incredible! When I’m a pilot, I’ll control carefully. If I’m a gunner, I’ll shoot down the enemy and harpoon the cargo. If I’m a engineer, I’ll fix the damage quickly and harpoon the cargo. And no matter how many times that I’m riding it, I’m trying it again for better accuracy.
I wasn’t pilot, but one pilot controls up and down and the others left and right. Team work! Lol you can definitely feel it when they weren’t working together 😂
@@nicholassontag4312 As a professional pilot would you say it's a smart thing to do to split pitch and yaw controls between two pilots? Is that how copilots in planes do it? jk
Some of the hits are intentional otherwise the engineers would have nothing to do. The ride is overall a mess, you don’t really have control of much. It would’ve been much better if I could just sit there and enjoy and actual scripted ride.
AMAZING! When the jump to hyperspace was made I was crying tears of EXTREME JOY and I'm still blown away! CAN'T WAIT for September 2020 when my husband and I will be going to WDW for our 15th Anniversary!
Just my luck... Some 5 year old cried so he could get the pilot seat. Then he proceeded to crash into ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! Ruining the entire experience
This looks incredible! The theming, the experience, the interactivity, Wow. The dude in the Top Left looks like he is having fun! Thank you for uploading TPM! :D
I went on this ride last week with my family. Here’s the results: me: good right pilot my dad: sucks at being left pilot Sister and cousin: did nothing as gunners mom and other random dude: did nothing as engineers
Nissan R32 I think it’s because most people have no concept of the ride. To them, it’s a passive experience - like a ride. Just sit down and enjoy. And assuming you’re a gamer, you’ve already accepted that it’s quite interactive. I think most people, mid ride and already having failed plenty, would just give up. I would find that INCREDIBLY irritating personally... Especially so if I’m flying with some 8 year old brat who starts throwing a tantrum because he wants to be a pilot....
I’m so excited for galaxy’s Edge in Florida! Thanks TPM for being the best and showing me what I will be able to do! You’re the best! This is the best spotlight in the series!
Except the fact that you can straight up FAIL the mission if you don't do your job correctly and get different outcomes regardless of whether you succeed or not. Mission: Space has you succeed no matter what. It's like a practice edition of THIS ride when you think about it lol. (edit: Alright then, way to edit that original comment up there and use the “fail” fact I provided to make it seem like you always said it. Fact is I’ve seen tons of Smuggler’s Run videos over the past couple of days, and have seen maaaany different outcomes. It’s NOT basically a Star Wars version of Mission SPACE. Beside, being able to fail adds the majority of the thrill to this ride. You know it’s not all for naught. There’s consequences.)
I remember a few years ago from the computer graphics convention, Imagineering showed off their render engine for this ride and it blew peoples minds. Real time, 8K graphics... as far as I recall they are using the Unreal engine with modifications and man does it show. It's Mission: Space but on a healthy overdose of steroids and speed. :D
You can ride your favorite ride at Disney over and over again- but this takes that to a whole new level. Different positions and scenarios make for countless re-rideability. 10/10 Disney, you knocked it out of the park!
Went opening day and Star Tours is way better, and that’s so sad to say! If you look at all the footage of the ride, notice how everyone is swinging left to right? The controls are too sensitive and makes it too hard to navigate and it takes from the experience because you crash into EVERYTHING! Also if everyone doesn’t do there job correctly you get a really low score and again ruins the ride for everyone.
No, you’re not getting it, the ride set up and controls are not done right. If your an engineer, you constantly have to look away from the screen to look at the buttons that you need to press and your more focused on that than seeing what happening during the ride. But then if you chose to look at the ride and not look at the buttons your suppose to press as an engineer, the ship takes too much damage and you get a really low score. So then you have to count on a person(s) (there’s 2 for every position) who just waited over an hour in line that would care more about looking away from the screen to press flashing buttons in order for your group to get a good score! Not really well thought out.
(Looks around to make sure it is safe)Well I am thinking maybe the reason the right pilot ran into everything. Is that he is a spy agent for the first order. Or he could just be a very very terrible pilot.
i just went on this ride with my boyfriends family yesterday and ITS SO FUN i really recommend everyone trying it at least once if you’re in disneyland . everything was so realistic and the graphics are CRAZY GOOD , the movements are so accurate with the game and overall it was probably one of my top favorite rides in the park
Who else wants to say punch it chewie when you go into hyperspace on this ride? Congratulations Disney you made the dream of most Star Wars fans come true- fly the Millennium Falcon and be a smuggler. This sounds like a video game and a Star Wars version of mission space.
Da Fricken Sith Your not alone!! We’re in the same freaking damn boat!! Can’t afford crap! Even try to save for vacation and upcoming unexpected expenses pop up every time.
Hey Tpm just wanted to say thank you for inspiring and helping me know and want to know about Disney you’ve helped me out so much so thank from the bottom of my Disney filled heart
Playing/riding with multiple people ruins it. Everyone has their own specific job. And it is hard and frustrating to get everyone on the same page that you just met. Their will always be a chance that at least 1 person is going to suck, which ruins the ride for everyone. ☹️ It's funny I'm not even in the ride, but I kept yelling go up! Go up! What are you doing? Go up!😂
I'm going to Disney World in Florida in February and March next year and I can't wait!!!!!! I tried holding back on the video to save the experience , but failed.
Hey I just wanted to say that I love ur vids their so addicting to watch and it’s a really nice channel I’m kind of surprised u don’t have at least 1 mil subs but keep on with the grind
I see people complaining because when they rode a little kid was pilot and wrecked into everything I rode multiple times and honestly the times where people were crashing were still sooo fun
Pretty much what was expected by the descriptions. Essentially it is a usage of technology similar to the old "Back to the Future" ride at Universal (now Simpsons), except now you control the action with choices you made and then you experience it - and depending on the choices you make you either complete more of the mission or you don't. Also, the screen which was above "Back to the Future" is now outside the windows on the Falcon. Thanks for this great recording!
I have got to see this for myself in person. I hope the same version of Smuggler's Run will also be at Disney Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida too. The people who currently runs the Disneyland park should have a person wearing a Chewbacca costume sit in the right front seat of the cockpit so it would be like you're actually co-piloting the Millennium Falcon with him. I wonder why they never thought to do that. I'll have to contact them to ask if it could possibly be done.
The interactivity is a nice touch, but I feel like it'd be easy for the experience to be ruined by someone who doesn't realize they have to actively participate for the ride to be as good as it can
Omg me and my dad are so excited for this excepted go to Disney world and that one doesn’t open until late August so it will be pretty packed lol!!!! If we think star tours is fun this will at least ten times better!!!!

I'm not a professional pilot but I would think you would want to NOT HIT every stationary object with your ship.

Not only can you fail, but Smuggler's Run is more immersive.
My star wars fangirl butt when I get on : Do your job right I am not gonna spend my time on this planet with a bad mark !
It's basically a sized up version of Rebel Assault/Rebel Assault II the game that popularized on rail shooters and CD-ROM drives back in the nineties.
