Inverviewers who ask questions then interrupt the answers break the flow of the interview. Louis CK is an interesting person and a great story teller. The audience would probably prefer to hear him finish his sentences.

I’ve never liked this kind of radio, and morning radio “characters” even less. Even late night stuff was tolerable for me as a kid/young adult only because that’s all there was. As soon as I heard long form podcasts where 2 or 3 people just had a conversation for 2 hours, I realized exactly why previous interviews I either was dissatisfied with or abhorred, because they were always an interview of some Sort where there’s a guest and a person asking questions, often with some sort of agenda or at least direction. I watched Howard Stern a lot late at night I think on E as a young teenager cuz I was often up late at night alone and it was the most adult thing around, but I never liked the spectacle, the purposeful edginess and trashiness of it, and I’m very alone in that. And I’m not at all a person who gets offended, I was damn near bottle fed on George Carlins specials; but none of this stuff was cerebral or real or natural or long enough. Actually the best you could ever find for a while was Fresh Air on NPR, but that still was an interview, and Charlie rose and inside the actors studio but only because they were long form and non-commercial; but still one sided. After podcasts, never ever is there ANY fucking reason to listen to radio type shit or late night bits.

I don't know how it happened but I stumbled back on to Howard Stern recently and I can't get enough. I remember watching on E!, really late at night with a buddy of mine back when we were kids in the 90s. And of course the amazing movie that is Private Parts. We used to listen to the Howard Stern show before and after he went to XM/Sirius on the 20 minute drive to school every day, throughout that excellent "golden age" of radio with O&A and all that, very early 2000s. He really broke the whole concept of what it meant to run a radio show. It'll be a very, very weird thing when Howard Stern retires from radio. Anyway, Louie is also the greatest comedian of his time and from watching random Stern interviews as well as Louie comedy and clips, I have arrived here. Can't wait to see this.

And those people aren’t going from minimum wage to $7,500 a week, they already have good income. Then there’s normal people like us who would get used to it, normalize it, overspend. If you’re a gambler, addict, have a history of manic behavior, also known as several billion people, you’re gonna go off the rails at some point. There’d come a point where many would be waiting seven days for that $7,500, as they blew it the first hour. And even if say, I, managed to avoid that second paragraph of scenarios, if you have high ambition and are generally a restless soul, you’re gonna feel empty after some time wondering how far you could have gone if you didn’t accept the steady, comfortable income. I’m glad Louie took the leap of faith, as opposed to Tina Fey who attached herself to NBC’s hip with SNL/30 Rock. I respect bold risk takers, especially when it pays off eventually.
Howard Stern seems like a chill guy. I can totally see my self chillin with him . However, he talks more about him self and plugs in his own experience for almost every question he ask his guest. How many times he says “I “ is hilarious… he should get out and be more social to release all his experiences
I definitely think he is the wisest comedian I've ever seen on stage. In person or on TV. Louis is Definitely a DEEP thinker and that's what makes his stories fucking great. He makes you laugh and then makes you think about a life lesson, holds a mirror up to yourself so you can hopefully make yourself a better person. Or at least a bit more patient person and wiser.
i love how howard stern says he is awkward socially. he is one of the most succesful people on the planet..... in a lot of southeast asian countries, being social is seen as a large component to succeeding i.e. sucking up. this was cool to hear 😂

Eh, Chappelle got grumpier and too self-serious and preachy with age. I’ll enjoy his old or newer stand-up any ‘ol time, but Louie stayed consistent. Then again, Louie didn’t really become a household name until his 40’s. So maybe that’s why it’s so easy to spot the difference between goofy, high-energy Killing Them Softly-era Chappelle and his older self constantly name-dropping as if he has a single thing to prove to us.
EITHER WAY PEOPLE WILL COMPARE WHAT THEY TAKE HOME A WEEK COMPARED TO LOUIS> IN FACT I THINK IT MAY BE EASIER FOR THE AVERAGE PERSON TO TALK PAY IN WEEKLY TERMS THAN IN YEARLY. Especially when they work overtime sporadically through the year.
