They're not bad, but they can't compete with even a decent $200 2.1 soundbar set-up. And whats with the THX logo? lol. There is now Bluetooth speakers that compete with and even sound better, look up the Aiwa Exos-9. Killer beast!
I don't get the people that think Logitech systems are more than just computer speakers. Yeah they sound good for computer speakers but they can't compete with most home audio because they weren't designed to. However I do use my z2300 sub with my floorstanders and tbh it works quite well lol
@@paranoidnela yeah but amps don't just always run at peak power music doesn't work like that and that is such a small speaker, most speakers that size would max out at only 50w if you actually use a wattmeter I've tested it before, even bigger ones, it was in a ported box so the resistance was lesser than a sealed box and the thing quickly hit xmech as you could hear so I still do think it wasnt showing that subwoofer 1000w, you have ot remember too amplifiers can be rated for their peak power for only a limited time by using reserve power from the capacitors By the way bro I hope my other message didn't sound rude I just wanted to let you know :)

I own a set of z623s and the bass alone is incredible. At half volume, I can feel the bass on any wall in my house, inside or out. The satellites deliver very clear audio as well, free of distortion. One of the best speakers I've purchased (and I've purchased the original Sony Muteki).
@@MinasK.97 i also agree with him. The bass is incredible; as i remember i had a pioneer and logi z-623 and the amazing part is logi z-623 had more deep bass than 12" pio sub
Hey, I love my Logitech z623's and z906's. I understand they aren't for everyone, but if you are just listening to music, and watching movies you're golden. I understand they suck compared to more expensive options, but for the price, you really can not beat them. Please prove me wrong...
+Doublsmm with bass it is not a question of clean or clipped power but either lows that will damage it mechanically, transients that can pull wire off a coil if it is poorly stuck, and sustained tones near the lowest impedance that will overheat the coil. Amp clipping is all about how much sound is sent to the tweeters in which a smaller amp driven to clipping will drive the tweeters of multi way speakers playing full range music harder than a more powerful amp turned to the same level that avoids clipping.
The sub chassis in most logitech systems are some pretty good tangband subs, just the boxes around them arent that great. And the satellites suck, big time. I have no idea if the amps in those things are good or bad tho.
The only Logitech system to use Tang Band drive units was the Z-560, and even then only the 2000 model not the 2001 model. Logitech then switched to their own drivers that were lookalikes of Tang Band drivers. The satellite boxes are plastic and too small and the sub boxes are like 12mm MDF and too small with marginal bracing. They rate their amps at 10% distortion, so clean RMS power is about 60% of what they claim.
Z623 = not sure (maybe the W6-1139SI in the old version that doesn't have neo magnets?) Z906 = rebranded TangBand W8-670Q Z5500 = rebranded TangBand WT-644F But thanks for the amp info. I never ran any logitech sub on its internal amp, so i had no idea :D
Why would you keep a woofer in your bathroom, of course it's not going to be in good condition cause the glue will obviously get lifted by the steam in the air. That's kinda on you and no one in their right mind would have electronics running in a damp to wet environment. You could do this to pretty much nearly any electronic in the same environment and expect failure or corrosion at some point. I'm sure this Logitech product is great but like I said you kept it in a terrible environment. All this video does is fuel the Logitech hate. I'll be honest though. Logitech used to sell some amazing stuff but in the last few years they have gone way down hill.
It's a paper cone - you can use speakers in the damp, but need to coat paper with protection, or use aluminium or polycone with rubber surround, preferably a plastic or aluminium basket since steel will rust. Sealed, no ported stuff as there is iron in the motor assembly.
In my opinion the Logitech Z623 is Logitech's best speaker system at the moment. Why? The subwoofer of this system goes lower compared to all the other systems like the Z906, Z2300 etc. The bass sounds pretty clean and precise, and doesn't tend to sound boomy. Maybe it isn't the loudest subwoofer compared to other systems but it is the most musical of the Logitech subs. Also the satelites sound pretty clean. The mids are good enough and the highs are fine. The satelites don't sound muffled ; the Z906 and Z2300 satelites do!
Calvin Pas shut the fuck up. The given factory specs aren't always right. The Z623 hits 27 Hz, the Z906 doesn't even hit the 35 and it has sooooo much port noise. Maybe your listening room sucks, but the Z623 hits way deeper
Thanks for blowing that POS up! For you Logitech lovers out there who take pride in the just false power ratings of your speakers, +RWL2012 explains why those ratings are just marketing BS. If the amps in Logitech's products put out that much power, they'd fry the tweeters with distortion!
The z-2300 is really 76+20+20w (116w total) with 8 ohm satellites which the stock ones are, or 76+22+22w (120w total) when using 4 ohm speakers. And the z-5500 is really 125+30+30+30+30+30w (275w total). The Z623 and Z906 will be around the same but class D amplification rather than the class AB in their older counterparts
True, I was being generous calling them tweeters 😂 Yeah, Logitech certainly loves to market with big numbers on the box, even if they are meaningless. To be fair, most real amplifier companies have also gotten caught up in the wattage war, claiming ratings with one channel driven into 6 ohms, 1kHz tone @ 1% THD...all of which is BS. I find it pathetic that audio companies feel the need to stoop to such low levels to sell their products. Really the power should be rated at
Jonathan Hiener yes you're right, for example Technics Hi-Fi finally returned in 2014 after having previously withdrawn from the market in 2002, and their new power amps are not as powerful as their top model 90s ones. They claim the same wattage but if you look carefully the ratings are at higher distortion at a single midrange frequency, rather than clean and full bandwidth 20-20.
I'm thinking about buying the z906 mostly for the bass right now I have a insignia sound bar with a 30 watt 6.5" sub .... anyways would the z906 be better?

5000 Watt continuous? Funny guy. Even the amps max consumption is "only" 2250 Watt. You can be happy about ~1500 Watt continous if the power unit (especially the transformer) can handle this much power (which i also dont believe since this amp weights
It's 2800watts RMS bridged at 4ohms. Cerwin Vega Cv-2800. It peaks at about 5k watts. He bench tested it with a volt meter and got 4500watts RMS bridged at 4ohms before clipping, so you are incorrect, it's about 4500 watts RMS continuous, Rated at 2800 RMS, so either way you are completely incorrect.

Marine subwoofers are water resistant and would be better to have in a bathroom instead of a Logitech subwoofer

They say it's 7" but it's actually 6"
It's 6.25 inches. I measured it from end to end of the surround.
Doublsmm ah I thought is was 10 inches , logicrap z5500 blew and I now have a pair of 12s
xXda-beast-1Xx The subwoofer is actually 6.25 inches from the end of the surround to the other end of the surround in diameter.
He bench tested it with a volt meter and got 4500watts RMS bridged at 4ohms before clipping, so you are incorrect, it's about 4500 watts RMS continuous, Rated at 2800 RMS, so either way you are completely incorrect.
what kind of amplifier do you have
henk vd ploeg Cerwin Vega cv2800
what song is this?
hey do you still have the box!?
Bose or logitech?
logitech can not be the best speakers on the world. but. for the price. they are the best in most cases. i got mine for like.. 14years.. and i use then all days.. and still rolling no problems. and i love then.. they arent was powerfull as bigger speakers. but. for the price and size.. they are . i got a hometeater from Armstrong whit they said had 1550Watts power total. custed about 1100 euros!
and.. they died long ago.. and they didnt are that much more powerfull then mine 80Euros 140Watts Logitch 5.1 system that still going! xP yes. they are better then logitch. and are louder.. but... 13 times the price???? xP man,, NO WAY!!!! Logitech sistems arround 300E are better then the expensive Armstrong i bought some years ago.
that the reason many people love Logitech. for the price then are one of the best thing you can buy
