After hearing this rendition just once, I packed my family in the car, drove 300 miles to Swansea and saw one of the best performances of our lives. My son laughed at me as a I shed a tear when you played this tune live for us. I laughed back when he had to sleep in the car as we couldn’t find anywhere to stay! Thanks Josh for the memories and inspiration. Hopefully see you again soon.
I managed to juggle my business trip to catch the show at Malvern, flu 2000 km and drove 200 km from Yorkshire to Malven and then to London just to see and hear Josh. Thank you for the music. Such a a talent and likeable personality.
I saw your video about Paul's perfect chord progression earlier today and it reminded me of Josh. It appears that I was not alone. Anyway, I'm a fan of all 3 and I wish you all the best. Paul has already earned his retirement, but I hope that for both of you the best is yet to come.
This song is so New York.. steam rising from the manholes, late at night the streets still wet from rain, shopkeepers sweeping out front pushing dirt into the gutter, people yelling in the distance, high heels on the sidewalk, taxis idling. Even the sound your fingers make through all the chord changes as they work up and down the neck. This song is 100% better with eyes closed. It really paints a picture. Excellent job.
For those who don't know - that is very difficult guitar playing - and its being done on a steel string acoustic guitar - much harder than a nylon string guitar or electric guitar - now if you want to double the difficulty then try singing at the same time as you play all those unusual and difficult chords - let's bump it up another level of difficulty and do a classic that everyone knows and will hear any tiny mistake you make - let's put icing on the cake by sounding as good as the original. Thanks Josh - for your appreciation and tribute to the classic songs of my youth. I only discovered you recently and I keep listening to one song after another when I only plan to listen to one, cause I got other things that need doing.
@@teunroodzant9164 theres a tab video out there for this arrangement on youtube, this one is in drop d tuning and its a step down from the original record
The acid test is when an artist takes a song that you don't particularly like and turns it into something you can't live without. That is what Josh Turner has done for me with Still Crazy. Breathtaking.
I don't like the album version, but concert in central Park 1982 is probably the best version of any song Paul simon ever did, check it out if you haven't!
Josh astutely mimics the subtle lilt of Paul's voice, and yet manages to add original smoky vocal hues that compliment the distinct resonance of that spruce top Martin.
This man is an incredible guitarist & vocalist. Keep your eyes & ears open for he is going to present some unique, progressive & profound material the likes of no other musician. His original material & what he conceives in his arrangements like a fine wine is coming into development and birth.
Unbelievable! Top notch! On point! Spot on! How about"One man's ceiling is another man's floor". I've been listening to Paul Simon for more than 50 yrs. He could not do it better.
I am sure Paul Simon is very proud. Bringing a tear to my eye and many memories of hours listening to Paul Simon and Simon and Garfunkel music. Thank you Josh for sharing your gift....
Absolutely incredible. A performing musician myself, I've been a follower for a long time, but I don't think I've ever seen such musically intricate acrobatics. To be able to play AND sing it so well (the singing alone is more difficult than most people realize) is amazing! I continue to bow to you, young sir!
These chord changes are something to behold. I will always be infinitely inspired by Paul Simon’s command of music. Josh’s cover here is such a brilliant performance.
I love how you're never failing to deliver a great content, doesn't matter if you're touring, if you're busy, or feeling down. You're always for us, and you're always making me smile at how good the music you're creating is. Thank you, Josh. I've been watching all your videos since 4 years ago, and I'm always waiting for more.
Josh- I had the most amazing time at your Glasgow concert-Paul Simon's music is in very safe - and very talented- hands! It was the most wonderful evening of music- the band and the South African choir were awesome too- thank you so much for bringing your gifts to Glasgow- we loved you!! 🎶💖🎶
The chords aren't the amazing part... it's the melodic and passing fills he pulls off so well considering the primary instrumentation of the original is done on electric piano!
Excellent performance of one of the best pop songs of all time. Simon’s harmonic and lyrical sophistication is unmatched and this song is Exhibit #1. Not an easy to song to pull off.
This child is gifted......I have listened to all of Josh I can find and....every song he plays, he has such a deep connection to. .the heart of the song, be it light or deep. His guitar playing is perfect. He closes his eyes, as he should when he reaches out, and draws you in to where he is...where he's taking us...I willingly and eagerly go with Josh to close my eyes too...Still crazy..
When I close my eyes and just listen, I sometimes can not tell Joshs voice apart from Paul Simons ... this is just as stunning as it is irritating since I've been listening to S&G at least for the last fourty years ...^^ Great cover BTW ... as always.

Hey Josh, saw you in Edinburgh last night. What an awesome show. Fantastic. Well done to you, the band and the South African Cultural Gospel Choir. Hope it brings you much more of the recognition you deserve. I sat beside someone who had travelled down from Aberdeen to see the show and who had to head back up again afterwards, through all that dreadful rain.
