i missed you too! im so glad to be back home. as i get older im becoming more of a homebody 😂😂😂 i love my studio and family (and you and everyone who supports drifter studio! it's so much fun to make tutorials like this)
Really 😱😱 i was so worried about this video. i thought it might be too boring. sometimes i get tunnel vision when i do projects because i will paint them several times before filming. by then, im starting to feel a little tired of the scene but i know its important to trust the process 🙏
haha! Thank you - mostly what makes me relaxed is the routine of it. I've really found that scheduling regular time to do certain things has been the most anxiety reducing thing I have ever done. Since I have a schedule, I know what to expect and also that I'm 'on schedule' and meeting my goals.
Calvin, Your talent and creativity are truly inspiring, and your tutorials have been invaluable in helping me improve my digital art skills. I appreciate the time and effort you put into creating such helpful content.
Wow, it’s the start of Christmas motifs. I just purchased your Gold Textures package, it’s very cheap. I hope you would include it in one of your tutorials. I think it’s perfect to use it this Holiday Season tutorials. Calvin, you are highly appreciated for the joy you bring to your subscribers and to be subscribers. Thank You!!!
Thank you so much! I just realized the microphone sounds fine if I don't edit it too much. I used to have to edit the sound a lot but this mic is from Sennheiser and they have it calibrated for voice somehow
thanks! I'm really interested in loose pastel and color pencil. It's a very fun and spontaneous texture. I would love to make a video about it and see if I can use the same techniques I use in my watercolor tutorials
@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 i dont know why, but i feel very familiar to your brushstroke, as if i have seen it long time ago. Can u give me some of the names of them, please? I'm really bad at searching.
Tell me, please, what is the size of canvas you use? Because i’m using your watercolour texture and it affords to use only 9 layer. So I can’t keep drawing and stuck on these little guys. But maybe i’m doing something wrong
hi! The layers are going to be limited becuase of the ipad's capabilities. If you are only getting 9 layers, it's because the file is too high resolution. I am using 4000px by 5000px for this artwork, but on your ipad that may be too big. If you crop the size just a little bit smaller it will open up more layers for you. For example, I recomend cropping your canvas to 3000 x 4000 and i think this will allow 21 layers for you.
I love watching your tutorials! Reminds me watching Bob Ross on TV when I was little. Easy and relaxing..😌
Aww thank you so much!!
Lovely illustrated scene!!!
Can't wait to try it 😊
Thanks Calvin
You are just awesome. I always love watching you reveal practical lessons for new learners! Always a well thought out achievable art lesson.
this is a dance of creativity, and this video beautifully captures the graceful movements of that dance
Love love it
Wow... that is really great! Thx!
Awsome, Calvin! So glad to see you back, missed you last week 😍

Thank you so much for your support and everything!! It means so much to me. I will try to use the gold more in future videos 🙏
@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 Please don’t feel obligated to use the gold textures if you already have digital arts prepared ahead without any gold.
I really love your videos! You always inspire me and give me the confidence that I can do create something like yours too! Thank you!
Amazing! So cute!

Have u ever drawn book? If yes, can u recommend me some of those
I just have a few coloring books on amazon, so they are with amazon publishing. I don't have any children books published, though 😭

Absolutely love this! The swirly skate lines really make it feel complete! Will you be getting procreate dreams?
thank you so much! I don't do much animation because I'm more focused on print media, but I may still get PD because it looks very fun 🤩
@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 yeah it looks super fun, would be interesting to see what you do with it

Why my layers & brush strokes are transparent upon each other, while the video shows opaque?
I use Watercolor Texture Basic 21v1.
