I really like the format of having the steps at the start of the tutorial. It does help with having a clear picture of what you're going to do and also what to do. Well done!😉👍
Thank you so much! Currently I'm editing the dog painting tutorial the same way and and it should be ready by this Thursday ☺️ I think you will love it!! My main regret witg the cat tutorial is the slow example was a sorta simple cat. In the dog video, I show the steps applied to a very complex type of dog.
Love that you showed us in the beginning what the tutorial will teach us. Made it so much easier to understand what each step would lead to. Your tutorials are great and I really appreciate them!
thank you so much! I think this way is good for making the beginning of the video more interesting (good for UA-cam) while at the same time giving you an overview to help you decide if the video is is something worth investing time in.
I love your process using the warp and liquify tool but I was wondering, doesn't that reduce the quality of your drawings? Since Procreate is really bad at keeping quality when moving things around I'm afraid to use any tools like this on finished drawings.
Thank you so much! liquify and warp will slightly soften things, but if you use it gently like in this video, I've never seen it to have an serious effect. If the artwork is very small though (as in, low resolution) the warp/liquify will have a much stronger softening effect. I think it's because the softening effect is absolute in term of its scale, so the effect is relatively 'worse' the smaller/low resolution your artwork is. The main thing that loses quality in procreate is the scale tool. be carful not to scale your artwork small and then large again 😰 Also same goes with warp. Don't warp your artwork small and then warp it back large again.

Another great tutorial. Thank you, Calvin! I like the new format, too, where you tell us “what you’re going to tell us.” Greatness.

6:20 Any idea why my marks went blue on this layer? I followed along same brushes, same layering. 🧐

Oh no, the red cat has no whiskers!
I forgot them 🤦♂️😂
