The next Halo game should have a skull that gives Master Chief a scooter, his fellow marines yell at him if he uses it inside buildings or ships, it would be great
3:41 The Colony Ship for sale ad on the board is actually a Marathon reference, Bungies shooter game before Halo. The exact reference is to a level called "Colony Ship for sale cheap!" a level infamous for being really frustrating and annoying to play.
28:20 that yellow poster is a reference to Destiny, the three circles represent Earth, the Moon, and the Traveler. The triangles at the bottom end of the poster represent the forces Darkness, which we would not learn was a physical entity until some time into the release of Destiny 2. They are specifically meant to be the Witness' "Black Fleet"

So here's a fun thing for Halo Infinite; in the campaign there are MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) scattered around, which I personally appreciate being prior service myself. And what's even better is that there are several different meals, some of which you'd find in modern MREs.
28:49 MREs. Meal Ready to Eat. They're military rations. I'd imagine they'd be pretty common as (other than Earth) Reach is (was) the heart of the UNSC
Mains traiger is a shipping/delivery company I'm pretty sure, we see some trucks with their trailers in Halo 3. (Maybe reach to, but I haven't stopped to look at all the trucks in the pillar of autumn mission)

5:46 5 months prior to the release of the MCC, Marty was let go from Bungie. He used to say "be nice to the goose," referring to variously himself or the developer. That is, don't mistake the golden eggs, the IP, to be more important than the people who can come up with it. If this is an original texture from the anniversary, I wonder if it's a reference to him having that saying for a long time, or if it was added in the MCC I wonder if it was added as an explicit reference to Marty O'Donnell.
This was present on the OG CEA release I believe. I sincerely doubt it’s a reference to Marty though due to his hostility towards 343 and that team in general. Plus, there’s a goofy easter egg of him on one of the later ODST missions that was removed from the MCC release. It was a crudely animated PNG of him dancing but it was swapped with Frank O’ Conner when ODST was added to the collection. I have no idea why they’d do that other than if they were trying to distance themselves from him. I can’t say for certain that’s the case but those are my suspicions anyway
Really like this video - would like to see more. I totally agree that ads and trash in games make it feel more alive. Maybe you could do one for the Cyberpunk 2077 ads?
26:59 I assume you know this but that's the Bungie Webmaster who is a gorilla in a hat. EDIT: Actually it's a guy in a gorilla suit and a hat. 6:17 Hey, I'm from Halo Universe! I've seen trailer of Dark Planatoid Rising. It'll seems like another manger movie made by the acclaimed director Micharlina "Just Make a Movie" Bae, who's previous works include: - Covenant Cruiser 3: The Glassing Stroke Back, the 3rd installment of Covenant Cruiser franchise. - Warthog Drift, a summertime blockbuster with "original" story - PTSD Drop, a UNSC sponsored movie about how a Traumatised Marine became a ODST by sheer will power and patriotic energy. - Spartan: Days of our Silver Lives, a partially UNSC sponsored movie 7 years in making, showcasing Spartan heorics like Master Chief's secret love interest and whatnot. - Patriotic Grifter: Inserruction Saga, Micharlina's recent blockbuster film which was very controversial at relese for the obvious reasons. Dark Planatoid Rising was her recent movie, partially sponsored by UNSC. This is the ultimate culmination of her life's work, so I won't spoil even plot synopsis here. It's coming to all theatres in Reach about a week, July 26 2552. If you visit soon enough, you can experience the masterpiece in best screens of New Alexandria. Also, please don't forget to check out her other masterpieces too. They are pure work of art! ✌️

48 minutes of niche halo content!?!? Finally, the UA-cam video for me

That makes sense. I didn’t play Destiny 2 and I haven’t played the first game in a very long time. Frankly, I don’t remember shit about it either way
12:24 Since it's Hannibal. I'm guessing those are his war elephants & the Alps?
Oh! You’re absolutely right. I had no idea the company was named after a historical figure. The more you know

@SpartanNat I read Point of Light like 6 months ago and must’ve totally missed that
i’ve spent so long in halo just staring at billboards and posters all over maps and levels this video was right up my alley I loved it!
48:42 This is actually a really fun reference to Evangelion, specifically the head on that pigeon is an 8-bit recreation of the head EVA Unit 02
Hmm. Interesting. I notoriously don’t know shit about anime so thanks for the info

also in halo ce the colony ship for sale is a reference to Bungie's previous game Marathon and which there is level called Colony ship for sale
I almost included that in my script but I ended up scrapping the line for reasons I can’t remember

Ever played around with the digsite content? The doozy (a cut boat for CE) controls so terribly lol. I can kinda see why they cut it
If I had to guess, the 'branding' on the launch site at 46:50 is a unit patch for the 22nd 'Fast Response' squadron, or whatever they are.
Almost certainly
