Such a joy. My daughter has mentioned how much she’s enjoyed your shared knowledge and wealth of valuable information and that I, 57 years young, would be quite pleased by checking your channel out. She was right. Slowly watching your episodes to catch up but oh my, you’ve done an exceptional job of delivering very informative topics. Bravo...I’ve learned so much! Thank you.

Justine, I have a suggestion for a future video. I would do this myself if I had a channel- choose a woman you know from a decade.,, a teenager, a 20’s woman, 30’s, etc up to 90’s if you know someone. (I would do my 24 yr old daughter, my Mom in her 70’s, my BFF in her 50’s, etc.). Send them into their fav department store to create an outfit in their own style that consists of black bottom, white shirt and accessories. Then you can show photos or video and discuss the differences in personal style, body type, and ages. I would love it!! I enjoy your channel and artist visions and opinions. Sending you the best!

Justine, I have to tell you that I love your videos!! I stumbled upon one of your videos last summer and on a whim I watched it. I was intrigued by your candor and the depth in which you explained things. I watched some more videos and found your positivity refreshing and that is what kept drawing me back to your videos time and time again. After watching most of your past videos I decided to subscribe because I wanted more of those qualities in my life. I am sooo not into fashion (mostly because no one makes clothing to fit my type of body), I am your quintessential frumpy stay at home mom, yet the content of your videos finds relevance in my life and you make them interesting, relatable, and fun. Thank you!! I genuinely look forward to each new video.

Hi Justine. Thank you for another great video! Regarding the comment about keeping your ideas, goals, etc. all in one place, I've been using an old MS Office tool: OneNote. It looks like a notebook with separate sections and pges, where you can type, draw, paste pictures and many other things. Everyting is syncronized in a cloud service of you choice and you can access everything from your pc, tablet or smartphone at anytime, even when you do not have access to internet. Next time you go online it will syncronize all your changes or new inputs. You can even password a section if you want. Works great for me. Take care. 😊

I’m a little bit too obsessed with productivity and organization don’t think I could ever compress into just one book! This works for me: 1 Comprehensive day planner (Erin Condren Life Planner) with major dates and times backed up in google calendar. 1 Bullet journal for diet and fitness with my custom layouts. 1 bullet journal for everything else from blog post schedule, movies I want to watch, books I want to read, budget, and even a mood tracker. 1 small jotting journal for every little idea I may have because I don’t want a mess of sticky notes. Anything I do end up writing haphazardly gets pinned on the wall and taken down when it’s been written in the proper place. 💕💕💕

Thank you Justine. I enjoy all your videos and this one was substantial for me. Every questions and answer was valuable. Plus I had a good laugh at myself. I was the person who asked you about your possible connection to the design house of "Channel" when you released your introductory video a month or two ago. Until you spoke in this video about your UA-cam "channel" I had not even thought of this word. And I figured out my error.

I live in the Berlin area also and this is the first year I did not get SAD for some reason. The only thing I can think of is that there was no proper snow this year. And the cold months are my favorite anyway. So my mental state seems to stabilize my mood around this time of year. But I came from the south in the US, so there were several years of adjustments in the beginning.

I didn't want this video to end. I could listen to you speak for hours, sharing your insights and knowledge on varied subjects. It's interesting for me to know your thoughts on yourself when you think of the future. I have similar thoughts: I'm in a cosy house near a water body (probably a beach, but water is necessary), reading a book. I'm not actually "working" per se, but like you said, I don't ever want to stop doing what I do. Do you think of a life partner in these scenarios? I don't. And, what about children?

It's great to watch your videos everytime they come out, I don't even remember how I found them but now I dont miss any. About the journal, for six months or so I've been using a traveler's notebook, which is basically a lether cover with elastics that allows you to carry different inserts (aka notebooks) on it. Mine are separated by topics, so I have one for my agenda/bullet journal, for my dissertation ideas, for work, etc. Hope it helps :)

Great Q&A. So fresh. A wide variety of questions to answer and for your viewers to think about as well.
#bookrecommendation All the Light We Cannot See. WWII YA novel. A German boy and a French girl. Their lives impacted by the war travel until by chance they meet. Excellent writing, vivid story telling, war from a child’s view. It is courageous and sad. Since you are French, living in Germany you might really enjoy it.

Hi, Justine! Thank you for interesting answers and recommendations! Push ups are great thing for a brain definitely, I use them to handle overmuch emotions )
I would suggest you to have a small notebook to keep it always with you. But if you prefer pieces of paper and napkins it's a lifestyle ))) As for organizing ideas, notes, researches, etc. I may have a recommendation. It's a Scrivener, a software for writers. I've heard about it from a graphic designer, illustrator and shop owner Yana Frank (she lives and works in Berlin too!). Recently she shared how glad she was to finally find a convenient way for her to organize all her ideas and plans for new products, illustrations, books, seminars, blog, videos. And I know she experimented a lot with organizers and apps. I thought you may like this software too. You could put photos of napkins and pieces of paper with your drawings in there )

Reading is so much fun, at the moment I'm reading through the Anne of Green Gables series (8 books) ... before that I read Carve the Mark (totally different kind of book). There are so many great quotes about books and reading ...
Cicero: A room without books is like a body without a soul.
Robertson Davies: A truly great book should be read in youth, again in maturity and once more in old age, as a fine building should be seen by morning light, at noon and by moonlight.
Unknown: You can borrow a book, but you get to keep the ideas.
    (Sorry, I have a thing for quotes ... 😉)

You can find a ton of videos on bullet journals on UA-cam. If you haven't seen them definitely check them out. I would never have thought I'd be the kind of person who makes one but the community kind of sucked me in and I'm hooked. Maybe you'll love it as well 😊😘

I'd recommend the same thing as well! Do bullet journal! Just watch a 4 minutes short video to understand the basic concept of it and make your very personal journal, your own!

The BEST way to keep a journal of ALL your scattered ideas is to stick all your pieces of paper into one book/journal, like I do. I am extremely creative and I have little bits of paper everywhere (as ideas strike at any time) and then at the end of the week I compile them into one place with sticky-tape. You can add fabrics, photos and other bits to it like a collage in a non-stop journal, without loosing anything. I've been doing this for decades. I have one for fashion and make-up, one for art, one for life and one for work. I hope this helps, you have given me so many great ideas in your videos, I thought it only fair to give you my best idea back (even if I'm over a year late). Good luck.

Great books! I will pick a few of them up, such as Simone de Bouvoir and Kurt's mini stories. Interesting, we seem to share the idea of work and not retiring and not seeing the future in 5 years :)

Hi Justine, thank you for your videos here! You help me a lot with my style and you inspire me in my own creativity (crocheted clothes, embroidery...). I am starting do it for sale, thank to you! According one notebook for all: Since school, I have one "karis book" with six rings in the middle, where the papers are attached. I have a refill for the current calendar, contacts, notes, blank papers for drawing (I put an A4 half-folded there), etc. And I orient myself in it with the help of colored bookmarks. The whole thing closes with a clip, there is a pencil loop and a pocket for business cards. At home, I sort the papers from time to time, put them in storage folders, or throw them away if I've already done so and fill them with clean ones.
It is leather, so it looks great even after 15 years... ;) I wish you fun and succes in your work and thank you very much! :)

Hi Justine! Have you tried Evernote? I used to have separate notebooks too for ideas, recipes, etc. Now they are all in one place. Here's a few things I like about it: 1) tagging feature - makes it easy to search content from my notes; 2) cloud based - I can add notes wherever I am; 3) the companion apps - Skitch (for drawing/sketching) and Scannable (for scanning using your phone's camera). Been using it for 3-4 years now and have never looked back. :)

I love your book tips. Any time I've received book tips so far people only seem to remember fiction (or maybe they don't really read that much non-fiction). I'm happy that you've shown me so many books I've never heard of before and I'm looking forward expanding my book reading horizon :)

Justine, this was just great! So thoughtful and informative. I am going to read the books you suggested - such a nice variety. By the way, your makeup looks beautiful and your jewelry looks fantastic. I ordered one of your necklaces last week. I can't wait to get it! All the best to you!
