I love that you are sharing this. There aren't a lot of videos with folks with simple instructions. I would love to see a tips and tricks video where you walk us through how to use the different nail art brushes for designs. 💕
I was here a couple of days ago and came back, just to say that all of these tips combined, my gel polish has stayed on! I was literally about to give up and just donate all of this stuff but now I’m planning my next color combo.
I’m going to try these because my gel manicures only last about 4-5 days and the they start chipping and peeling which isn’t normal even after doing lots of prep they still tend to peel
I’ve tried everythinggg to stop my gel nails from peeling and chipping. But they still peel and chip after 4-5 days. I think it may be the cheap lamp I have. So if youve tried everything (like me ) and nails still chipping. It may be the lamp ???
I just found your videos and wow! I really enjoy your content. I'm just beginning my gel nail polish journey and your videos are perfect - short and very informative. Thank you for sharing.
I use plastic press on faux nails (POFN) and one major mistake i made the 1st time was not buffing/filing the POFN. This is apparently a crucial step to let the gel polish adhere better to the POFN. The layers of gel polish just chipped & even tore off in less than 3 days. All that hard work... Gone. But lesson learned indeed.
Another tip is to underfile the nail tips after top coat. It tucks the nail bed ever so slightly under your gel and so the gel takes on impact, which for me lead to far less separation. Also bonder has made a huge difference but I have very thin nails so need all the help I can get lol
I watched your video and told myself “I’ll come back and leave a review if my gel lasts for more than 2days b’se what I was doing before only lasted for 30secs” it’s 3days today everything still intact and hopefully still counting Thanks for the tips ♥️
Best basecoat is Essie Here to Stay, its a really grippy thin nail basecoat, even use it under gel basecoat, then add gel, then use Essie No Chips topcoat, then cure! Lasts AGES, few chips, but it works for me! Also use CND SOLAR oil on cuticles! UK 🇬🇧 13.4.24
I’m using beetles polish and lamp but my nails literally chip after one day despite so much prep work! I’m going to try some of these and see if it helps. Maybe I need to cure it for longer then what is suggested?
I've tried loads of gel basecoats, a lot of them are just hype! The best gel basecoat I've used is Arte Clavo, a good grippy gel basecoat needs UV light! Silcare Flexy and Color it! topcoats were too hard, kept snapping off! No flexibility for long bendy nails! UK 🇬🇧
I bought the Beatles home manicure set and when I put the base gel polish on it looks like oil and water. It won't lay on my nail bed like any other traditional polish would. I need advice.
Hi! So, i have a quick question. Im a teenager, and im going to start learning how to do nails. Mostly gel manicures and custom press-on's (with gel polish as well) is it bad to leave the paint on for more than 2 to 3 weeks? On the natural nail. I've heard some people say it will damage your natural nail, and im trying to recover for a long few years of severe nail biting. And im doing this mainly to get my nails healthy again. So, i dont want to damage them more in the process. So, i just wanted to ask someone who was experienced with gel polishes! Thank you so much for your tips!
Might be late but it's ok to have gel on 2-3 weeks. I've kept them on for a month and only took them off because my nail grew too much. But since you're still young I wouldn't recommend a month. Your nails are still developing, otherwise you'll ruin them. My sister also nail bites, so having a hard base was helpful and it helps grow your nails out a lot. When you do take your gel off, make sure to do nail care like oiling (you can make it at home if budget problems), file them, cuticle care, etc. I live on a budget so nail care with minimum products is possible. You just need to do it properly and regularly. Let them breathe for a week before you apply gel or press-ons again so they stay healthy, nails need air too. I started in my teenage years too and as an adult now my nails are quite strong and "aesthetic" in a way lolll. It's takes a while but you'll see a difference with proper nail care.
There’s still an issue with how long to cure your nails because you can’t over cure them and they will bubble so my issue is how long do I cure them and the power of the UV lamp
Primer just removes any oils and grease from the nail plate … base coat is what you use before you actually apply the gel polish . Make sure to cure the base coat properly aswell .
Beginner here, didn't realize washing hands directly before applying polish was actually giving those oils back! I'll wash them before everything else so I have clean hands and dry nails 😅
@@neah2003 ok so I’ve tried a handful and my favorites nail combo now is: start with YN protein bond, then Kokoist Nail Thoughts builder for a structured mani, color I either use Kokoist pots (beautiful thin application with these) or DND (widely used salon brand and occasionally have $5 sales so price is the best). Top coat from either brand I haven’t found a difference
If you already have an allergy and are looking for something it’s much harder but Light Elegance is among the best for quality and some people who are allergic can still use their line. Also nail lamp is the most important tool unfortunately and costs a lot. I did see Light Elegance released a $60 mini lamp for 4 fingers so that might be the way to go
I honestly did not that I could overdo it with the capping😂 I capped every single layer. And I have to have short nails becaus of work, so there’s ALWAYS excess nail polish on my skin, like at the top of my nail. I tried cleaning it with a q-tip but it’s to big. I’ ll try to remove it with the cuticle stick… thanks for the tip!
The nail industry is a con! I cannot find a good gel 2 in 1 topcoat and basecoat that doesn't cost the earth and grips my manicure on! Silcare Flexy is the best budget 2 in 1 topcoat & basecoat! It's cheap at £4/$7 and grips the manicure. It can soak off a bit quick. MTSSII gel polishes ate cheap and come off easily! UK 🇬🇧 17.1.24
Informative, to the point, and no unnecessarily long intro ❤
100% this helped. Especially keeping under the light longer - literally my nails normally last 2 weeks but I'm currently going on a month!
Which lamp are you using

Finally, something that makes sense and straight to the point

It's crazy that I was just thinking about doing this today but I wasn't sure how to, thankyou
These tips really worked for me, for the first time my nail polish stayed for about 3 weeks . I’m glad I found it his video 💪🏼 💅🏼

Do you have a daily nail routine (cuticle oil etc)?

I own mostly all Beetles. I struggle with the colors not looking streaked- especially white
Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks. I've learned a lot from watching uour videos.
Hey! Thank you, I think my lamp is the problem will have to invest in a better lamp. 🌸
Very informative, thank you for your tips & GOD bless. ❤❤❤

This is such a helpful video. Thank you so much! I use the Beetles lamp. Is that okay for curing? (I also use Beetles polish)
Just one thing be carful to not over cure with can lead to chipping so follow the timing on your bottles
Thanks for the tips. I just need better brand of polish and uv lamp thank u Gabby 🥰🥰
How do you keep your cuticles and skin around the nails looking so good?
cuticle oil and lotion
Great tips! Thanks Gabby!

Can you weeks later put another top coat on it to prolong the finish?
Can I use the stapes without primer please
Early! Thank you much needed! Love your vids!
thank you! I hope this helps!!
Can you please recommend a brand that is long lasting but also doesn't take forever to remove?
Great video! No nonsense.
I got a kit and even the gel nail polish in it won’t cure under the uv lamp should I contact the brand about faulty light or something?
what happens of you don't do proper nail preparation, like not filling them

Hello! Is the primer more important than the base coat? Or what is the difference
Primer just removes any oils and grease from the nail plate … base coat is what you use before you actually apply the gel polish . Make sure to cure the base coat properly aswell .

Can anybody recommend a product to use for thinning out thick gel polish?

Getting gel on your skin can also lead to an allergy; making gel, acrylic/dip, regular polish, and medical procedures no longer possible.
