The paint from Daniel Smith are some of my favourite colours and those two colours has some really interesting granulation going on and some cool shifts in it when it dries. Recommends playing around a bit with lots of water and adding the paint in that and letting the paint spread in it a bit by itself, then let it dry and let the magic happen. When it dries you cat get some pretty cool separations of the pigments in the paint :)

I love the SpongeBob series thing, I like how sketchy it is and how they all look done with everything thing. Kind of spookier and eerie than the usual SpongeBob style
Never heard of graphite putty before, it looks interesting!
The channel Doodle Date (only Adam from that channel) has used the graphite putty stuff and he loves it!

Baylee. *No one* is as good as Bokkei (we can start a club of people who have been watching her since before she dropped the Mr :). Bokkei probably has days where she isn't even as good as Bokkei! She wanted to do a collab with you; she thought it was something her audience would enjoy. You don't need to apologize or feel insecure because you don't do the same things the same way. Plus, you have a *million* people who've basically said "hey, I like what you do and want to see more". They didn't subscribe because they think you're the greatest ever; they're here for what you do and how you do it. A little insecurity is totally normal, I think we definitely all feel that way, but you shouldn't apologize for being you.

A couple of years ago I was buying Christmas presents for my mum (she used to be really arty but doesn't really have time for it anymore) and I got one of those flower palettes and she said that they're meant to be used like a colour wheels so you put the colours you have around the edge and mix any missing ones between them and then the middle is for like browns and black and white. I'd never really thought about that before.

You should do this kind of a swap but with supplies that you already own but don't use, that way you will get some new supplies and get rid of ones you don't need.

Your small SpongeBob paintings look great, different from your usual Copic pieces. I wouldn't mind seeing more of that :)

This was so fun! I loved seeing the stuff you came up with for the sketchbook! I think that if you're enjoying it, you should do more of it! ^^
I am a HUGE fan of Cascade Green. If I may be so bold, I recommend this as a fun, quick art adventure: get a misty spray bottle and spritz your blank paper with plain water. Then drop some Cascade Green into a few places around your paper. Let it dry completely with no interventions. It'll take a little trial and error to figure out exactly how much water you'll need from your spray bottle in particular, but in the end because of the way the blue pigment spreads so much and the green stays very still, you'll end up with what looks like an aerial map of a chain of islands. ^^
I find it to be a really fun, easy, quick exercise to get my creativity started. ^^

If you want some water colour pencils I highly recommend Derwent Inktense Water Colour Pencils they are very highly pigmented and one you have used water on a section and I dries it won’t deactivate making it easy to use water on sections next to it without bleeding ❤️

also, you may think they're simple but i really loved your series of loose spongebob paintings. they were so colorful and i love how everything blended together, whether you were drawing three spongebob characters or one big illustration it's still just as pretty and satisfying to watch!

I never really understood water color pencils until I watched your video. Now I have got to get me some to try. Watching u open your gifts was nice. Like u I love grab bags or gifts because its fun opening them and learning how to be creative with new products you have tried before. You rock thanks 4 inspiring me to try the pencils. Sometimes simple is best when trying out new art supplies. I think now that you know how things work you can have a better hang of them and try for another video when things get a little calmer for you after the con. I really liked watching you open the box (even yelling at the TV like I did LOL) and everything. It was fun. (Besides, IMO you did a more in depth video in your usual style for your Wednesday video, so sometimes you need something more fun to do and like I already said, you were trying things out for the first time, I think over time you can go back to the supplies and do something more grand.) Your video was wonderful to watch and I am glad you had fun doing it. Have fun at your con!

Its natural to feel insecure, but theres no shame in doing the simple paintings :) your style is completely different is all. Like you said, its more illustrative and cartoon-y. The point of art collabs (i think) is not only to just do something awesome and fun with someone else, but to get two or more people representing themselves and their styles. What you're doing here is SO you so its perfect for the collab :) and I love it, the paintings are really cute. No, they arent like 'holy shit thats amazing' but its art all the same and fun to watch ^_^ Besides, I just subbed to Bokkei and looked at her stuff and I dont think anyone can GET any better than that, so theres really no need to 'impress' in comparison lol I love your art

This makes me so happy! I draw simplistic art and I always worry I have to be better or do more detailed work. But I always say to myself Spongebob is one of my all time favorite shows and its simplistic so why worry if its not crazy detailed.

Baylee, I really liked this video. It was fun to see you work with watercolour pencils and gouache. I really like the sketch-like quality of these drawings and the fact that it was different from your usual copic speed paints, as you yourself said. I would love to see more with these supplies. And yes to doing series' of smaller drawings, but continue making more refined pieces. Do both, sometimes smaller ones, and sometimes larger refined ones. At any rate I just love seeing you try new things and creating different types of art.

Your art was surprisingly simple in this one but it worked! The trio looked really badass drawn that way, especially when you give the paper a dated kind of look by adding color splashes to the back ground. Very nice. ❤️
