Personally, the GLA is the division I don't like.
This video is longer then the others cause the GLA have A LOT of toys.

i am playing this game for 5 years :) zero hour pwned ,,so if you take the full part of generals cds u must older "the first decay" cd ,,so u can play online zero hour with other persons :) i got 876 wins and 178 loses on 1 on1 games :P my opinion for begginers at general ........your team must be only GLA TOCIX DR.THRAX FOR LIFE :)
The only advantage you have playing as the GLA is that they may have low health for literally everything but you can easily build up an army quite fast and they also have the ability to steal enemy tech which helps in taking down your enemy plus they're REALLY good when it comes to ambushing ;),battle bus functions just like the humvee which has fire ports inside them so that your infantry inside can shoot
GLA is the best division.
IT collects resources fastest out of 3 divisions.
America's weapons are rly nice, but it takes too much time to collect resources...

@Ksharp1fan Well my opinion is that you are right GLA has Best Offense and USA has best defence but china is much more powerful then both of them because if we take an over all look than Chinese armour vehicles are more better than both...
My friend used to think that the Angry Mobs were nearly invincible too, then I killed his 12 angry mobs with one dragon tank. They're actually a lot easier to kill then you think, computers just don't do it right.
And no thanks for any mods, I play legit.
The Best way to defeat angry bob (if u r playing like Chinese) then get some MiG aircrafts in the air and attack angry mob u will see the burn in fire

Zero Hour came out in 2003, they then stopped supporting it in 2004 but did not make a new C&C game until 2007. Seems odd! It is the longest running game in the series (and one of the best). More and more people are getting fed up with modern RTS so they are going back to the classics and good for them. We should all shun what EA are making now and just play the games that are good.
@therealKINDLE Hey you might wanna try to reinstall game.The trick is to keep C&C generals in default EA folder when you install it.
if you change the folder the game may experience weird bugs ?? Do you use any mods ? Windows vista has some issues if you got that os.
It's a fairly buggy network game You might wanna try no cd crack same crack for you and your friend it might work on LAN issue also Google Hamachi chek out your windows firewall settings hope it helps
@xLossage Yes it never gets old but i want to ask you something you play 4 years and i play about an year and i can beat hard armies 3vs1 but with china and Usa all generals but the biggest problem is my GLA defence . i usually play on twinlight flame and i build all around my spawn point Stinger sites but they can't hold the tanks for too long i make the defence long i make one stinger site and tunnel network i make about 30 of them and i steel can't hold them all upgrades purchased any stra.
to me the GLA is irritating(especially their sneak attack and the jarmen kell), the US general laser general and their aurora bomber fearsome and finally for the chinese they are good for long battle due to their hacker and defences. for attack they do not have fast unit and that make them vulnerable to airstrike. The new mod however made them really powerful with their new rocket launcher and tanks.lol
well it depend too bcos to build up ur defence u need time. if u are against a expert player u could be defeated in less than 5min. not to say tat i am good but i actually tried defeat 2 hard players on computer using chinese infantry general in 5min. it is fast bcos u just need to build one nuclear reactor, one supply and several barracks. u can launch several mass infantry assualt in less than 5 min
watched all 3 movies.
besides the many typos which he appologises for here. I don´t think it´s that good a couple of units are missing and all the diff gens all have diff abilities and special units. And they also got some units they can´t use.
It´s like 5 years ago that i stopped playing online now. But i guess i can still play. so might try again in august after my vacation. (got a fiberglass connection then :p)
back then my fav was stealth, but could play any gen.

And? That's not a game like generals...the A.I. in generals, along with modern weapons with some futuristic with it based near our time line NOT in another galaxy. People love that kind of shit. Don't get me wrong sc2 is a good game, but it's not something you can mod the fuck out of and have a shit load of fun on it.
I want an honest, unbiased opinion. I have played quite a bit of cqc zero hour but never sc2. Which is better, and WHY? I really liked cqc's stealth and some of the generals, but it got annoying after a while. So I guess the question is: is zero hour WITHOUT general powers/superweapons or sc2 better?
@omsigbug the GLA is the easiest to be, if the reason why you think there OP is because you get whipped by people who are them. The truth is, is that they are very good players and most very good players are GLA. But none of them are overpowered with pro rules. I prefer china not because its the most difficult..
It kind is like that. Units are named sort of like their counterparts and have similar functions. The factions (United States, China, and GLA - the stereotypical terrorists you see on tv) each have a wide expanse of technology from the US' laser weapons (it shoots down incoming missiles) to GLA's banged up pick up truck that serves as a personnel carrier.
any1 ever notice that none of the maps in zero have any civilians? hmmm now what does that remind me of?

Lolololol scud launchers get boners frm other tanks. Tip: china, usa. Enemy. Gla you. China easy usa harder/medium captur chinese tank depot thingy and get overlords fill them in your tunnel network do sneak attak on usa and dominate ( sry if i got something wrong my computer has vista so i havent played this 4 long time :( i miss this game
"Sync Error". Does Anyone know WHY it does this? Or a Way to STOP it from happening? I mean, WHAT makes it happen? Not, "Oh Have you Tried doing a Re-Install & Turning off Anti-Viruses!"
TRUST ME! I've Spent YEARS & YEARS Trying EVERYTHING. Different Machines, Keys, Copies, OS etc. And it just KEEPS giving me this Stupid "Syncronisation Error" Bullshit.

@wexa89 Oh Yes now I Remember.. There are TWO Folders: EAGAMES / C&C Generals Zero Hour & EAGAMES / C&C First Decade / C&C(tm) Generals Zero Hour. So Should I Move the C&C(tm) Folder to where the other one is?
There's one Level in Particular that ALWAYS 100% Guarenteed Looses Sync - "Death Valley" (8Players). If ANYONE Can LAN that level, I'll be Shocked! I've tried all the Other Suggestions.. To No Avail :(

@wexa89 We use a Mod called Rise to Power (Zerohour Reborn V.4) but it doesn't matter what MOD we use, or if we have NO mods, it keeps happening. But Your Point about keeping it in the Defualt Directory may shed some Clues.. I had to Stick the Mod in a Directory within the Default Directory for it to work. I Will check... (thank you for you advice my friend. Not many people hold their Hand out.. )
This is Such a Good Game. But the Trouble is I KEEP having this "ERROR: The Game has Detected a Syncronisation Mismatch" Message. I've Tried EVERYTHING. :(
We Have:- Genuine Copies, with Good Serials, Both Have the Latest Version, Both have Machines that can do the Job, etc.
It Seems to do it on Certain Levels, Or If we have more than 1 HARD AI playing. I Just CANNOT get this to LAN without having this Scyn error BS!
If ANYONE knows how to LAN this game Successfully, I BEG U to HELP!!!
the quad cannon sucks
i was once in one of those 2-3 hour games, and we had both become turtlers with massive economies etc
well, i was china, and was poured out 20 overlords
the other guy had an economy double mine, and so, attacked with over 300 quad cannons
the quads were wiped out, even though he sent them in 2 different waves, one sneaky, one all out
i had like 13 overlords left, with a minimum loss of 3 battle bunkers, and 2-3 reactors.
i then proceeded to destroy his now weakened base
One major flaw I found in the game is how infantry were next to useless in almost every situation... They'd always be run over by enemy vehicles before they can even get into position.
REALLY annoying because in most RTS's, I actually prefer using infantry tactically as opposed to vehicle spamming.
DON'T BUY THE FIRST DECADE IF YOU WANT TO PLAY ZERO HOUR ONLINE. YOU CAN'T REGISTER YOUR GAME OR MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT. WHEN I TRIED IT SAYS THE NETWORK IS DOWN THEN IT GOES TO ANOTHER SCREEN SAYING MY REGISTRATION KEY IS INVALID OR ALREADY USED. i JUST BOUGHT THIS GAME 12 HOURS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm gettig the demo for this just because i might buy a new one and want to give C&C another chance since t is popular, i hate because i played kanes wrath on the 360 and it sucked but i heard that was a bad one, plus now i'm a pc gamer and it is probably better on pc.
The laser general, I think, has the best defense and the laser tank is good. The USA superweapon general is underpowered because it really doesn't give you any special superweapons, just EMP turrets and advanced reactor rods. My favorite is the USA Air Force general personally.
Angry Mobs are killer, but they don't travel well cause they die as they travel, so you have to kinda creep them up hehe, otherwise they are great, actually GLA has alot of cool stuff, cheap tanks, decent infantry but best of all bombs and the scud storm hehe.
What'd you advise me to try: generals, ra3 or c&c4 tt? I've been only playing ra2 and I rly enjoyed the stylistics (russian accent, soviet-type weaponry like apocalypse etc). What would you name as an advantage in generals (or c&c 4 TT) against ra3?
this game is the best strategic game i've ever played! my favorite faction is the GLA with their dozens of toys but my least favorite are the chinese cause the buildings need power and with the reactors and all that stuff to support them it's annoying

Zero Hour is shit. All the different races but they only win by spamming the same unit over and over again. Air force do commanches, tank general does overlords, infantry does mini gunners, gla does angry mob, its basicaly a shit game for spamming.
And It also increases armor if I'm correct,
btw, ppl who like the game should really try out the Shockwave mod for Generals ZH (it's not a complete overhaul like most md's, but aimed at improving the game instead of making another game of it)
gosh dude. its called superweapons cuz, the particle cannon is half the cost. and wtf underpowered. wow man no. no way lol. i just say bombers, u figure the rest. superweapon is my fav and will continue to be, cuz they r the best.
not necessarily. Jarmen Kell can keep the pathfinder pinned down long enough for the player to send in a technical or something to kill the pathfinder. I say that he can pin down snipers because if the pathfinder moves, the Jarmen will nail him.
Personally I like the Chinese for their extremely powerful base defense, the stationary chaingun, but if I were to use GLA I would prefer to use bomb trucks, get a spy near their base, and send 3 bomb trucks to each building, it rids me of their troubles. =]
i comes with a world builder im still working on a map called area 51 comes with radar buildings comes with perimeter fence look towers and has 4 team spawns and large base barriers the game would have fast battle techniques
because c&c3 sucks because red alert 3 sucks hard, because c&c4 was the shittiest game ever + addons.. still im played c&c series from 90's and u call me to grow up because ea ruined whole game series? mmmkay
You can upgrade scorpions tanks, toxin tractors, marauder tanks, and scud launchers through enemy scraps. scorpions and scud launchers sometimes take more than three scraps to fully upgrade because you might get money instead.
@coNsPirAcy083 There are no in-game cheats, C&C doesn't put em in the games it produces. Find yourself a trainer. Why would you even cheat? Too hard to kill Hard Enemy's? Try Turtling with the USA SuperWeapon General...
@lol96uaz yep. they should remake it with better graphics, more armies, more diverse maps (without the glitches of mountain fox or twilight flame) but should stick to the old generals formula that worked
USA has a good defence against tanks but its only multi effective once you get sniper generals promotion. the thing about the patriots is the transmitting locations which increases the range...... u noob
my main comp can just run these games and run the older ones perfectly but seeing as im off in army its quite depressing to know i cant get theses games and a pc to run them on lol wish they wer lower reqs
i think that the gla has a good strong defenese it rebuilds it self wen it is gla hole and the tank's around ar destroyed

how can you say you don't like GLA? its the strongest team, if you have urself against 3 teams but they not allied kill yaself and let them fight, GLA will always win if there on the same difficulty
oh come on! i was hoping for a bad ass chinese base! but it looks like their easy army, geez. stupid computer can't even build an overlord tank or some artillery of some sort, good army though.
The Anthrax bomb is cool but it should just kill the vehicle occupants not the vehicles themselves, that way you could drop a bomb, let the poison subside then invade and steal all the empty vehicles :)

what effect does the GLA Scavenging have on thier units aside from changing how they look? the Technical gets a Rocket, the Marauder gets a dual cannon but how does it affect thier stats and damage and what not?

So they kick even overlord easily when they surprise it.

Yes, you play with China Nuke, you build your Nuclear Missile and uppgrade your migs ON the missile. After that your MIGs will shoot small A-bombs.. very powerfull against troops.

When i play against multiple computers after a while the speed of the game drops so much, just like i would have lag and i am not playing online. Does anyone know a patch that would fix this?
at the bomb truck... why do those enemy tanks dont attack the disguised bomb trucks? they look like enemy tanks anyway... help me. sorry i am a cnc generals noob hahaha
Scorpions are only effective on 1on 1 if they have full salvage upgrade wid 2 rockets and new cannon. other than that u gotta use em in big numbers which you got right :))
slightly... i know that it has diffrent units but i think there is also a possible change in missions. well zero hour is only an expansion and you need generals to run it
dude the chinese are the best ^^..especially the nuke cannons and the that one take (forgot the name, has 2 cannons and can have a bunker, chaingun or speaker upgrades)

Westwood FOREVER!, EA has been dragging the cnc series through the mud trying to make a fast buck, but I still love the series for its core original games.
really good stratigy game. especcally if u have alot of modded versions theres endless posibilities. like russians dutch and matrix r few of the modded ones .
this game in my opinion was the best C&C ever the rest i own and are good but i really had allot of fun with generals i hope they make another 1 plz make another 1

I think that USA Super Weapons is the best,those emp Patriots can take out any aircraft,and tanks are weak agains them,also you have the alpha auroras.
the only thing i hate abouth GLA is fighting them u never know how many enemies u got and those god damn booty traps and those goddamn barrels with explosives

you can still play it on vista. I just channged my display thingy to 32 bit and ran it as admin and not in compatabilty mode and it should be fine

i got every westwood game and ea game except for kanes wrath and red alert 3. people this game was made for online play not on campaign.

EA should produce C n C General 2. Why they bother made Tiberian and Red Alert series. They all sucks. I'm waiting General 2 for 7 years now.
