I heard this and I expected the monsters to come driving up in there two cars like at the end of the show. Use too watch that all the time as a kid growing up.
If you’re old enough to have watched the show in reruns but still young enough to appreciate this jam congrats. Congrats also to the guitarist truly sweet.
My wife thinks so. This sounds like the long form title arrangement from the post series movie. I like Jonny Quest because it is so brassy but this too.
This is Awesome! I wished he had played it another 7 minutes! SWEET!! Always loved the theme song, but until right now, I never knew the title! 😮 Surfquake!!
I just had a thought. Try singing this line along with the melody: "Tom Taylor Tattle Tall Tuttle Tutt...is a character on 'Sesame Street.'" It fits PERFECTLY as he plays!
The "Theme From The Munsters". It is played by members of The Wrecking Crew with Howard Roberts on guitar. Maestro Roberts was on tons of 50s and 60 s recordings, including The Beverly Hillbillies. Look up the secret trick for the high notes of Ellie's Theme.
Bluegrass legends Flatt and Scruggs did "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" theme from the Beverly Hillbillies. But Roberts and Tommy Tedesco did trade off guitar tracks for the theme from the "Mannix" TV show among many other ones.
Actually, very impressed that someone young (you), would even know who/what, 'The Munsters' are, let alone, play a decent riff of their theme song, on your guitar🎸!!! Written and performed, by Jack Marshall. The same person who did, the soundtrack, for my favorite movie, 'The Giant Gila Monster' (1959).
HAHAA!! Loving this! Was not expecting 'Whole Lotta Herman" towards the end!! The twilight zone actually added some scariness to it as well. Well done sir!
Closed my eyes and was transported to Hawaii. Sun, surf, plumeria on the breeze, and you and your guitar. My young friend, you are very talented. Thank you for sharing this very delightful performance with us. I believe Lily and Herman would have enjoyed it immensely. Mahalo 🤙
From someone who grew up in the 60's the Munster Theme Song brought back a lot of memories. You make it look so easy the way your fingers flow up and down on the guitar. Great job, well done...
Facinating transition at 2:28 into the Twightlight Zone, then into Whole Lotta Love / Jimmy Page/ Led Zep, then back into the Munsters theme. Nicely done. 😃
@@thomasrevere7916 I love that one too Thomas. I was on the fence so I let my son pick and he liked the copper aged. My next guitar will likely be that one
What a trip. I've had this stuck in my head all day for some reason, and I haven't even watched The Munsters or heard the theme song for ages. Then I get home and I'm surfing UA-cam, and this pops up!
I only remembered this as the Munsters theme but now it definitely sounds like a surfer song! When I was a kid I never associated it with music from The Beach Boys
Long live surf.
The Munsters were so cool 😎
This is the best version that I've heard by a mile, absolutely smashed it out of the park.
I agree
Zack Weisinger used to do a great version.
No doubt! Amazing tone, too.
Nothing wrong with it
Justin Johnson has a good one too.
The Munsters meets The Shadows
I'm 64 years old and I still watch the Munsters in reruns today. Love this guitar cover
62, and ditto😉!!! Plenty of 'em, on UA-cam.
'The Munsters Theme' has really developed a life of its' own. It was the best part of the show. It was written by guitarist Jack Marshall.
Jimmy Page meets the Munsters. Who'd have thought that would ever work! But it did!
Nice arrangement. Well executed.
Who's Jimmy Page😉??? Heh-heh.
More like Dick Dale than Jimmy Page
Jimmy Page meets the Munsters….Just too cool.
I heard this and I expected the monsters to come driving up in there two cars like at the end of the show. Use too watch that all the time as a kid growing up.
I had no idea a zeppelin solo would fit in the Munsters theme....well done 👍
Zeppelin?? Hindenburg??
That Led Zeppelin fill blew me away
I got only 1 word for this performance: “GENIUS”.
I got a kick out of this - this guy is incredible on the guitar!
Yes!! I can still see Herman and Lilly and the rest of the family at 1313 Mockingbird Lane now!
This is a song that I myself TRIED to play on my 1958 Fender music master but never achieved this level of success. My hero, and thanks for the memory
If you’re old enough to have watched the show in reruns but still young enough to appreciate this jam congrats. Congrats also to the guitarist truly sweet.
I grew up in the 70's and now I miss the time badly.
On Spotify..added to my Liked songs list. Your Fender is absolutely beautiful.😍
Not “one of the best” but “THE BEST” tv theme songs ever made!
My wife thinks so. This sounds like the long form title arrangement from the post series movie.
I like Jonny Quest because it is so brassy but this too.
I don’t know…we’re talking about Hawaii 5-0 and Sanford & Son, too.
@@davidlanham99 I agree that those two rank right up there. Especially Hawaii 5-0. But I’ll still place The Munsters over them.
@@STho205 Jonny Quest???
@@davidlanham99 'The Ventures', and Quincy Jones (I believe)😁!!!!
Excellently played....❤️
I really miss that show.....👍
I'm old.....🤣
Sounds like a cheesy Italian western sound track from the 60’s!!! Love it
Whole Lotta Munsters! Love the mashup, and always loved the Munsters Theme, fine job!
beat me to it! ❤❤
Thank you! I couldn't place the song interspersed in the break.
Damn. I hate you, you stole my line. Ok hate is a strong word, mildly annoyed but seriously amused.
Loved the Munsters when I was a kid...bravo!
Even Fred Gwynne would blush with pride over this loving rendition! And even if he didn't, he sure should've
This is Awesome! I wished he had played it another 7 minutes! SWEET!! Always loved the theme song, but until right now, I never knew the title! 😮 Surfquake!!

Good job!!!....I can almost see Herman laughing after he kissed Lily, LOL.
i love that tune and dude f#@king rocked it. that was so bad ass!

I recognized the sound of the Wrecking Crew !
Did Carole Kaye do the bass on the original?
Bluegrass legends Flatt and Scruggs did "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" theme from the Beverly Hillbillies. But Roberts and Tommy Tedesco did trade off guitar tracks for the theme from the "Mannix" TV show among many other ones.
Actually, The Theme song from the Beverly Hillbillies (The Ballad of Jed Clampett) was performed by _Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs..._
@@garychambers5850 Is there an echo is here? Lol
Uhhhhh, the jazzmaster sound. This sound is so cool
Wanna Whole Lotta Munsters ! Very creative. Love the surf tone. Dick Dale-ish.
Listening to that gave me great joy , now I have to learn it😀
Very cool! I like how you incorporate both season 1 and season 2 ideas into this! Dick Dale would be proud!
More Reverb . . . YOU ~ ROCK ! ! 🎸🤛
Oh, the childhood memories that just came flooding back!😃
Whos thinking about Lily? 😊
Lily was hot!!!!!
Me . Yvonne De carlo was stunning as Lily even more stunning in her other films
Probably the best cover of the Munster theme that I’ve heard and I liked the ad lib … very cool!
Great guitar playing. The man put his time in. Great job.

Makes me laugh and put a smile on my face! Very cool, fantastic playing! NEXT ??
Perfect tone. Nice job with the LZ licks!
Accidentally clicked.
Was pleasantly surprised.
Sweet.
I wondered what the name of that song was. Cool. Brings back happy memories.
It wasn't surfquake ; that's the name of the band . 'The Munsters theme song' is the name of the song , believe it or not !😮
Herman is dancing in heaven
Haw Haw Hawww
Raunchy joy.
Awesome playing Thank you for sharing.
HAHAA!! Loving this! Was not expecting 'Whole Lotta Herman" towards the end!! The twilight zone actually added some scariness to it as well. Well done sir!

With Herman, on a surfboard!!!
I love surf music_ I wish it was popular_ I totally dig the Fender™ Jag
That Troy Van Leeuwan looks and sounds so good, I’m jelly of it. 🤘🏻
flawless victory🍻
That was perfect
I have fond memories of The Munsters on Saturday mornings as a kid
Well played! "Surf" style music doesn't usually evoke the bombast of Zep, but you've proven that there are dots to be connected in unlikely places!
Takes me back a ways. Good job!
I have to keep re-watching this video,,,,soooooo clean.
Good performance. I like the "Ventures" style tone to it.

Sweet Jazz master the J.P. riffs you knocked it out of the park
🤘😎🤘
i LIKED it halfway through and it just kept getting more awesome. i tried to LIKE it more but it wouldn't let me
The Munsters has to be one of the best theme songs ever! Also that's a beautiful guitar!😍🎸😀
Love that guitar!!
Fantastic!! 🤝👏👏 I grew up in that era, surf music and B&W television. Great retro salute. Thank you!!
Facinating transition at 2:28 into the Twightlight Zone, then into Whole Lotta Love / Jimmy Page/ Led Zep, then back into the Munsters theme. Nicely done. 😃

Very nicely done on that beautiful Fender Jazzmastermaster .
Great playing and sound, that jazz master is wicked
