Wherever the next worker subunit ends up, I think it should be only massive residential towers and low rent housing. Like Pruitt-Igoe style buildings that are as close together as the Kowloon walled city. Works great for maximum profit 👍

Indeed, in downtown areas, you can't always fit large parking lots everywhere, so you take decent sized parking lots and stack them on top of each other, a type of structure known as a *parking garage.* Chicago has a big parking tower that looks like a skyscraper but it has parking lots, it's one massive parking garage. And apparently the world's tallest is the Burj Khalifa's built-in parking garage with a capcity for thousands of cars.
That new city section had some Kowloon Walled City vibes
"Six-lane divided road" people will treat that like a highway, I guarantee it. If the speed limit is only 40-60 kilometres, people will go 80. You make the typical North American city planner mistake. The wider a road is, the faster people generally go(and the more cars that drive on it), even if it's just an avenue, boulevard, or some arterial road.
When my city got this big my CPU was MAXXED. 😵 What hardware are you using?

0:46 sorry but no you can't. The business will think fuck em taxes were going elsewhere. That's what happened last time. Keep them taxes lower like 0-10% which will attract more businesses. And if you see something like in the last vid you can raise em to 15%
I've been wondering if that tax thing was a bug. Or some economical anomaly I'm not aware of. Mine is Wood, Petrochemicals, and Concrete that keeps dropping from +40-90 mil to -150-250 mil... and dropping tax to -10% (like you did here) brings it back up for a short time. I found it happens less if their tax was around 3% instead of 6 or 9 like I have normally. But then I also have all 3 University and all of a sudden all of my Industrial is getting abandoned. I've only got 115k pop, not 200+ like yours.

Make electricity free. It gives a productivity bonus city wide which also applies to powerplants. Your electricity exports will increase enough to offset the cost of not charging your citizens and you'll make much more from industry.

With regards to your taxes: You have it all wrong. If you want to have "cleaner" industry, like software, tax them lower. If the are with more and can generate more profit per "produced unit" you'll get more income anyway. Very poluting or unwanted industry you should tax more so they'll leave. This will also level up your city a bit better because you focus more on high education jobs that way.
Placing some trees would really take the city to a new level

I also had this glitch with industry. I was making 100 million with a population of 20K.
Only 1 billion? You’re richer than my oil rich state. With a population of 9,000 and only a million in the state funds
I think it would be cool if they added CS tech and social media giant variants. Like Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, etc (I will never acknowledge it as X, Elon can go shoot off into the space on one of his rockets) in future updates as special buildings. Like the Google plex and Apple HQ.
Can anyone explain to me why ImKibbitz uses half-sized grids in their city?
The circle around the road tool is the maximum extent that can be built away from the road, but they always overlap their circles so the buildings are half the depth they could be. The way I see it, two building circles should never overlap to get the maximum zoning per road.
