I have an honest question, how many people actually get the full effects of the 4K filming. The lighting and quality will be overall better from a production standpoint. That said, us as the viewers are limited by our devices we are watching them from. Most of my UA-cam viewing is via an iPhone. It would be interesting to me to see footage filmed from the old camera and the new one in raw form playing on iPhones side by side.
Not necessarily about the resolution. I was watching in 1080p on safari but I feel the difference significantly when he switch to his new camera. And then I watch in 4K with chrome, my Macbook Pro 13" touchbar lags. 1440p is ok. BTW, 4K on non 4K screen is like having Supersampling anti-aliasing

Panasonic just destroy the competition for video! in 2010, panasonic released GH2 and support 1080p/60 for the first time. in 2012, Panasonic released GH3 and have 1080p/60 ALL-I in 2014, Panasonic released GH4 to shoot UHD 4K30p/C4K24P, even earlier than video camera like $ony ax100. in 2015, Panasonic released g7, the first interchangeable lens camera under US$800 that shoot UHD 4K30p. Meanwhile, EOS 760D at similar price was only 1080p/30... (although larger sensor and higher photo resolution) and their dynamic range are so close (my friend own 760D and I have a g7, so I have compared the DR in video) G7 can shoot near unlimited 16MP jpg at 5fps, no camera at same class can do it. in 2017, Panasonic got the GH5. 4K 60P ! 400mbps! VLogL(extra 100USD)! 30fps burst rate(18MP, pixel rate of 540MP/s)! Maybe it's time for Panasonic to get a real budget 4K 60P camera in 2018?

Apparently the earliest you can get one is April 20th if you preorder. Perhaps Samsung is giving out review samples to the tech press beforehand, but I wouldn't count on it. Either way, the S8 review will take a bit longer.

I'm glad that Panasonic apparently addressed the bad onboard audio issue of both the GH3 and the GH4. They were so bad that the onboard audio was unusable. The irony was that they had great onboard internal audio recorders, but had a poor built-in mic, which was very tinny and noisy. It was a pain in the butt to always have to connect an external mic as a workaround. True, I could have used a separate dedicated audio recorder and sync later in post, but I always try to avoid the extra steps and try to get it all done right at the beginning. This is especially the case when shooting multiple takes.
Wow, awesome camera, i have been very undersided on which camera to buy. So many people like the Canon or the Sony, but the picture quality in this camera is hands down Absolutely amazing. I subbed you and hit the like button :)
