All they had to do was remove some of the yellow hues and it would've been fine for the second half of the game. I understand the need for the filter in other parts of the game though, because the brightness and colour palettes are very vibrant, so the yellowing must be really obvious there. The interiors and darker areas I feel like without the filter it feels more like metal gear solid, and the filter to me seems too Hollywood/artsy. To keep the same aesthetic throughout the whole game though I'm guessing it just had to be a blanket filter for all of it.

The filter does bring the gloom and doom of snake's health here... and the removal can be too colorful in the face and overall brightness - wish there was a happy medium.

I am going to say the colour filter is better then having it dark is sharper that way on performance and on perspective. From my insight .point .

Overall there's a reason Kojima gave it the color tint. Looks so off when normal coloring is applied.
