Thanks for coming back with TTL, T90! It's my favorite tournament to watch. I really appreciate what you're doing for the community. As for the match itself... man, that was frustrating. wide kept retreating his navy for no reason. he had twice the army advantage but he was running away losing ships without firing back. once, twice, dozen, thirty times, if not more. i get that navy battles can be confusing to judge because ships stack on top of each other and sometimes it's hard to tell how big the groups are but there were many occasions where it was absolutely clear he had bigger army yet he was retreating anyway. and man, if you are unable to judge the situation at all, at least figure things out based on the results: a) when you run away, nothing happens, you only lose stuff. b) when you advance forward and fight, you easily win the fights - sadly that only happened like twice and when he did so he was retreating right after for some unknown reasons he was trying to do fancy micro with moving after firing which in theory is ideal if you do short movements during attack cooldown, stop to fire again, move a bit to avoid shots, fire again. Unfortunately after each volley he was moving for such long periods that opponent was able to shoot twice before wide would attack again. effectively wasting all his efforts and achieving worse results than if he didn't do anything. he honestly would have won the game decisively behore 1 hour mark if he just patrol'd in and stepped away from the mouse/keyboard, only coming back once a minute to queue up more ships and patrol another group forward. that's how huge advantage he had but managed to throw away. that voyage around Dracken's island was the cherry on top, several minutes of sailing, like 30 ships, didn't kill a single unit, kept slowly dying to small enemy numbers. I really hope that was just nerves and he'll be able to sort these issues out in the future. Definitely something that can be corrected and improved on. We do need more fresh talents.
This is why I love AoE2. In no other video game could a player who's played thousands of hours and who's obviously so much faster than his opponent still struggle so much just because his opponent is even more experienced. In most games, when you reach a thousand hours played, there is nothing left to learn about the game and it's all about execution. But in Age, you can just see the clear difference in experience between the people who have been playing for 2 years vs the ones who have been playing for 20 years.
t90 blind is mostly just a meme because t90 is actually quite good at catching things but then there are moments where he hovers over 9 idle vils 5 times and says nothing 111
@@BayWa4eva my favorite moments are when I catch/realize something based on a previous T90 lesson, and then it manifests, and T90 is surprised, and I think "bro you're the one who taught me this thing, how did you not see it coming?"
Wide game 1 tilted me so bad, he kept running away/running into castle fire instead of just diving. No cannon galleons for the castles or docks, and no turtle ships for the narrow chokepoint/constant galleon grouping up.
Idk about Cumans. I mean their economy is good but it seems like they don't have any good units. I know that's oversimplifying it but it just seems like they always get ahead in villagers but their army composition is almost never good enough
They have great Paladins but players are incredibly resistant to the idea of making Paladins in 1v1 if it's not Franks, even though these maps have more gold than standard Arabia and Paladins would be viable for many civs.

Exactly. I don't watch any other e sports but probably because I haven't found any other game with such a great learning curve and a caster like t90.
17:27 ZOOLOGY WITH T90 elephants have a giant horn and are definitely not rhinos 😂😂😂😂
Yeah, obviously boars

or a transport sails centre screen all alone and a minute later t90 notices that vils were transported.

Fun stuff T90. Glad TTL is back

T90: Here's a drinking game idea...
Me(already half way trough the bottle): say less!
Great series. Shame wide threw that first game but lots of games to play
T90 picked up a new phrase over the holidays, if you ask me
