That bait in the first game was something I've been waiting to see for ages. I really think it is a good move to fool them into greater investment than is needed.
225 wood for dock plus fish ship + vil time vs 150 for extra dock and what like 375 wood 250 gold for 5 fires or something. hera has to do that too, because if he doesnt he stands to lose more than what he spent overcomitting in the way of fish/dock time/food income stalling other stuff.

If they guess that its only a fishing ship, than the attacking player just adds +1 or +2 fire galleys and wipes the pond and comes out on top. The only counter to this I'd imagine would be to do it to their main pond so you end up owning the opposite ponds or back to the original game state (of both keeping the first pond). Given how much pro players can do with res leads of ~500-1k up until mid castle its crazy that this just effectively blows the map wide open now IMO.
The only mistake Nicov did in the final game was thinking Genoese would take care of Wagons. They don't. He should have gone for block printing monks as he already had most of the updates. Hera didn't have the food eco to make scouts
Spoiler Man Hera forcing the pressure and winning in castle was insane. Nicov just needed some melee units and archer upgrades and I think he wins. He had such a great position and everything was going wrong for Hera. Ggs
Yeah I expected more but wagons hp + pierce armor was too strong. Genoese were basically doing bonus damage only while having less than third of wagon HP.
The Liquidpedia page for this match needs to be fixed. At the top of the Group B point tally segment for this season of TTL:Plat it suggests that Hera won this match "2-0" but it should be "2-1".
Game 2 - main issue was too many vills on gold while not making any gold army. He had over 500 gold in the bank at the end. It could have easily been several more farms instead which would then allow producing from extra stable. That was the game deciding mistake. I assume the tower disrupted the thought process?
Oh this is where you hide these guys, in the alternate channel nobody knows about lol. I guess that's why low elo legends are legends and these top players are nobody
Please can we ban laming sheep with scouts under tc in tournaments (killing them i mean), there is no counterplay it's always frustrating to watch. I mean the real problem is that killing them totally delete the food and just don't make them rot. Or you should need like 2 hits for it to be fair

It was a mistake by Villese - he made a fire galley in his safe pond while making a fishing ship in enemy pond.
