Glock is definitely top 3 in the 7D2D UA-cam community. At first, I always wondered why other channel's series' would easily last into the 50 to 70+ day range, but Glock's series' on average would only make it about half of that, since his skill level was much higher than most. Then it hit me.... Glock normally does 64 zombie blood hordes and set difficulty to survivalist (harder) or insane (hardest), while other channels almost always set their games no higher than warrior (hard) and leave the default blood horde count at 16 zombies. The fact that Glock made it past day 50 on his Apocalypse series, is just very much telling of his incredible skill at the game.
@Dra6onfly you don't even have any idea what you are talking about, do you? It's a video game. Almost all video games take some sort of skill, with the exception of certain types or style of games. The more skilled you are, the better you fare. Now, how much skill is needed for a game depends on the skill cap. You don't have to be a video game master for every game you play. But 7D2D most definitely has a broad skill cap level. It takes critical thinking and planning. Its not just stand and shoot and run through to whereever you want. Thats a quick way to get killed. You need to always be on your toes and making sure you aren't leading yourself into a trap where you'll be cornered and killed. You need to always be aware of your resources and loot item counts to make sure you don't get stuck needed an item and end up dead because you didn't have it. It's not some arcade shooter game.
@Dra6onfly Ok I was joking about that one but srsly you need to find material to survive and food and heres the thing: while 7d2d don't have so much "skills" many games dosent have it either but tactics can be used in most games, Especially games with multiplayer
The inventory management buttons at the top of your inventory screen are helpful. You can set the amount of items you always want to keep on the top row. When you click the button on the left it will deposit all of those items but keep the items and the amount you set.
Great series. When you drop loot in storage, you can use basket icon to drop all into crates. I really like that you play the game so it makes sense without any cheap exploits. Keep up good work.

Yo dude, just coming in with some storage and mod(weapon/armor upgrades) tips. Storage: The mod adds some extra buttons right above your inventory such as letting you throw your entire inventory in a box, or filling stacks, etc, play around and get used to it and it'll become very convenient when storage stuff after loot runs. As for extra storage, this mod also has "lockable storage" boxes that have more inventory slots than the usual storage box, I believe you can craft them right off the bat with a workbench so that'll be useful for inventory management. Mods: There are upgrades like 'tactical rigging' that increases your inventory slots which goes in your chest armor, and there's 'brass catchers' that you can put in your guns which lets you recycle brass casings back into your inventory after shooting. May be useful if you wanna start making ammo in the future. Down the road, theres mods such as 'NCID battery', 'flammable oil' and 'liquid nitogen' mods that you can craft to put status procs on your weapons. (Basically, you can make an AK or shotgun that can also electrocute or set enemies on fire, etc.)
I'm about 70% certain that the glass above your storage chests has a plug behind it. I think it's usually a medical pile or ammo pile. Loving the series so far!
Helpful tip - You can crawl threw 1 gap block, crouch and jump into gap should work. No need to destroy 2 blocks. Hope it helps. Keep the great videos coming.
"I dont like things that can explode being close to where I live" Anyone else picture Glock parking his car a block away from his actual home just to be safe? lmao
Technically, cars don't actually explode in real life the way they do in games and action movies. The most they can do is catch fire and burn. Cars exploding is just a Hollywood invented special effect. They actually did a Mythbusters episode on whether or not you can make a car explode.
Muthbusters has never been the end all voice on things. Just like they said that salting water with pasta didn't change the flavor which is patently false.

Glock those shopping basket icons when you are looking in a storage container are for fast sorting loot. There's also a slider next to them which will keep items from being removed with those buttons. Very nice way to keep a standard load out on the top row and then quick dump all the loot. Once you get used to it they are addictive.
I did not see anyone say this in comments so ill say it here just in case, Glock in your inventory those 3 "basket" icons just above inventory slots are there to help you out one of them transfers your entier inventory into storage saving you the precious time of doing it one by one yourself like vanilla one of them "saves" inventory slots meaning you can for example save the first row and that way they wont be transfered by the other button so you can like keep food water ammo on you and still transfer the garbage the last one if i remember correctly takes everything from the box into your inventory so you dont have to do it yourself either that should save you litteral hours throughout your playthrough and is a quality of life much appeciated. Another quick tip : Item mods are worth a metric ton of coin in this playthrough im talking like the armor silencer mod worth around 800-1200 coin each so yeah if you're lucky you can get a motorcycle uber quick with close to no effort ;)
Quick quality of life tip: You can squeeze through single block holes in this mod. Break out a block and crouch to go through it. Break out the second to bottom block, jump and crouch really quick and you can squeeze through that. It makes progressing through tough walls alot easier in the custom POI's.
Wrenches are mainly just used inside the work bench now. Your axe and pickaxe will gather the same amount of materials when tearing things down for mechanical/electrical/spring parts, so no need to really carry a wrench around anymore. Free's up a slot for you at least.
Ive never really been one to watch seven days to die, but you are the only one I can watch and actually enjoy the content, I don't get the cornmeal thing so someone will need to enlighten me. Really loving Darkness falls, hope it keeps doing well to get more videos for it
He found cornmeal in a loot drop and was offended, turned into a running gag (including limited tinge tee shirt run) I think it was in Apocalypse, but I could be remembering wrong.
Just a note on weapon and armor levels: unmodified equipment has the same stats at any level. I.e. level 1 iron sledgehammer is just as strong as a level 70 iron sledgehammer. Higher levels allow you to put in more mods, and each mod is what increases stats. Makes the science crafting perk really useful and mods more expensive.
Video Game logic example number 355732367457775: (Joking. Games that are too realistic, aren't generally as fun, especially for a crafting game.) Car has it's side windows smashed in, but it's Glock searching it, that sets it's alarm off.
County Jail is actually just painted to look like Reinforced Concrete, most of it is stone (that's why one block you hit was 1200, and the other 5000). I also made a horde base there, with ramps leading to the roof that I could knock zombies off of... it's taken a beating though (which is when I learned it wasn't all concrete).
Hey Glock, disabled streaming textures will need pre-load them into GPU and OS RAM on map load as opposite to load them on object draw (if they are not loaded already). Sounds cool, apart from situation when you will require much more memory to load game. On my situation, playing on DF-medium map, 32Gb Ram and 11GB VRAM, seems to be 'not enough' for load it when streaming is disabled (unity engine crash, so might be also loaded object numbers, and not memory itself). Bottom line, if you see game crash (especially on load) try to set it back to on, restart game after setting change and see if it helps. And thanks for continuing this series :)
Been binging through all your series, was super happy to see darkness falls. Been a pleasure watching your skills improve, both in game and as a content creator.
Hey Glock, don't know if you'll see this since I'm a day or two late but, just wanted to point out crouching reduces noise from EVERYTHING you do, including building. And in A18 it let's you keep an eye on just how much noise, because of 0 - 100 meter. It might not be as effective without points in sneak, but in this mod it looks like every little bit might help.
Just saying, I used the same POI for home for a long time in a play through. No secrets, no tips. It was well located between a couple traders, I loved it.
If you ever get an auger, use it to scrap cars. Faster and can get more loots than the wrench. You can also go in a single block if you crouch so you dont have to break the lower block when your trying to bust your way through blocks. Also, just a suggestion. If your done with your other lets play I would like to see you stay in the trader. I would like to call it VIT or Very Important Trader. Where you will have to fortify and defend the trader from being killed by zombies and all. Disregard this if it doesn't peak your interest. Love your vidoes by the way. XD
That house with the workbench is where I set up my base in my first game.... I'm new to playing but have been watching your videos for a while! PS Theres a hidden stash on the top floor at the far end above the bookcase hidden in roof, one block up
There IS a prefab survivor base you can use, it has a vending machine (which tells the time too) and a rooftop that you can garden. Also, you can crouch through a 1 block space if you didn't know
Small Idea, what if you knock out those broken blocks in the basement, and build a ramp under the house and convert that room into a garage for your vehicles when you get them. In a mod this dangerous being able to pull your vehicle inside seems like a good idea, at least in theory.
Texture Streaming is basically you downloading textures over time, while playing. Which means the textures have been off, because they were not yet fully downloaded. Turning it off with your specs makes a lot of sense, because you should not need it anyways, and it makes sure none of these half assed textures are put onto frames. It also happened when you tested if dropping safes still works in Alpha 20, and the safe went partially white on of the sides. Oh, and it is usually taking up your V-RAM, because it is the graphics card handling it. So it uses Net-Capicity and V-RAM.
The county jail can last you awhile. Whenever I find one I usually stick with it till after day 28 or 35 horde. Could probably go longer, but by that point I usually have all the materials to build a monster horde base.
As someone who plays perma-death DF: Beware of troll land mines in custom POIs. In particular avoid a shitty run down gas station and another one called 'Danger Pete Mine" They don't give you a fair chance lol. FYI, vending machines will also give you the time. But despite the dangers you should really check out as many custom POIs as possible, some are so much better than vanilla edit: I hope these weren't too many tips
Jeeze, you had me choking on my coffee with the cheerleaders hunting in packs comment. Love DF, glad to see you putting out vids for it, can't wait to see how far you get into it. Watch out for the wellness issue with food, kicked my butt when I first started playing DF a couple of months ago, it can be a doom spiral in early game.
Me too. Scrapped many books and generic schematics for the notes to make another class book ASAP, so I could get the farmer class going. Absolutely necessary I learned, especially in multiplayer). *sigh* Good thing I like farming in most games.
Rewatching through this series in the background while I play my own game and was caught off guard with "find the biggest guy and give him a little rub and tug and he'll protect you" lmfao 😂
Ok, so i have just had my first 7 day horde on this mod. I am on similar settings as you, but with longer days. The Z's just DID NOT STOP. All night they came, There was at least 10 left by 4am. Over 10 cops, 30+ irradiated Z's... used every bit of ammo i had, over 800 rounds between shotgun, pistol, and crossbow. I killed over 260 Z's and earned 7 skill points. Easily the most intense 7 day horde ever. Be prepared for endless waves man..... its crazy.
For noting, level doesn't make a difference to the damage/block damage of items, but it allows more mods. Damage etc scales with the number and type of mods you socket in to an item.
Seriously, if I had the money, I'd pay you to play this game and post new episodes every day! It is such a treat to wake up and see that a new video has dropped.
I've been really enjoying your gameplay and I am glad you are also enjoying yourself. This has been a wonderful experience, I tried watching others play 7 days to die but none of them felt like they were even close to as experienced as you and as entertaining. I hope someday you plan to do permadeath insane darkness falls playthrough with max hordes. I know you won't live long but it would be nice to see just how long you will live!
The sheer number of people telling you that you can sneak through a hole one block high is astounding. I am loving this series. Unfortunately when I tried the mod there were errors on load. Sad. But... at least I get to enjoy your videos!
TL;DR on Texture Streaming: It's the game reducing the resolution of select objects to preserve GPU capacities. Texture Streaming allows the game to render all kinds of textures in a fluid motion when the hardware that the game is running on is not up to speed. It's meant to preserve calculation capacities while still displaying everything, at least to some degree. Whenever you load more objects (be it level transitions or similar loading gates, in this games' case loading triggers), the game normally renders everything new in the selected resolution and with appropriate texture sizes. "Texture streaming" allows for objects that have a lower loading priority to still render with a lower resolution size first and display that so that there's at least some texture to said objects, otherwise it would show either nothing or a missing texture. In short, it reduces the display size of textures on the fly when the game notices that it lags behind in calculation, like the game selectively turning down resolution size for certain things, like crates. With the sheer amount of files, biome weather calculations, spawning behaviours and the likes added, the mod quickly became overwhelming for many low-end machines and texture streaming became more of a necessity. Anybody with a powerful enough machine can turn it off, for anybody who has trouble with performance, turn it on.
in your inventory glock there a few button to help with inventory u can store all items store items that the chest already has forgot the other one and u have one where u can make it so those button don’t remove certain items from your inventory
I certainly never liked how zombies can beat the crap out of concrete, they would literally beat their arms down to the shoulders, before they'd made a scratch...but hey...it's a game :P We carry a few metric tons of loot in our backpacks, so it's balanced :D
Glock, litle tip if u didnt already know. In this mod you can make the old style wood spikes in the workbench. Waiting to see what you with batteries, as every battery i loot seems to be broken, and is unchargeable in the battery bank. totally gutted as i have found all the other minibike parts
You'll have to dig out some of that raised ground below the balcony to see if it keeps the zombies from beating it out, seems like a prime spot for them to accumulate.
I like to make bases like it's the walking dead ( tents in the middle of nowhere with a fence of something that will make some nice if a Zeke walks or runs past) ( a Zeke is my word for zombie and could you please use the word to convince people it a good zombie name) love ya glock

Dude, I watch you since alpha 15 videos started to come out. Your Channel is one of the best gameplay channels on UA-cam. I laugh my ass off with your quick jokes and the commentary is great. Keep up the good work!
Hey. Make sure you click the arrows on the skill trees. Each thing has more skills (o ly a couple min in the video so not sure if you know you have more skills than that front page)
So that reflective picture frame that is right above your stash boxes has a hiden alcove behind the right side. Also if you crouch you can walk through one block holes. I used this trick to get to the 2 safes trader jen has behind her. Just set down a wedge block and use it as a ramp to walk up onto the counter top. Or to get into that room in the jail just nock out the bars and go through that opening.
Since the trader can actually die I have a tip for keeping him alive. Extend the door to get into the walls into a proper gate house with murder holes and put the guards in there. Put machicolations on the walls so that the zombies can't beat their way in without the guards being able to aim down. Anyone want to add your ideas?
With all of the practice of Horde Every Night, Ramblin Man and the other series, I think this might be the biggest test yet. I can not wait till day 7. Waiting for the cops and demos for night 7.
Love watching your series. I have to be honest. I like things a little easy to begin. I cannot imagine what you will face with damn green zombies day 1. your the man. I am saying it is even money you get to day 7. :)

Ive never really been one to watch seven days to die, but you are the only one I can watch and actually enjoy the content, I don't get the cornmeal thing so someone will need to enlighten me.
Really loving Darkness falls, hope it keeps doing well to get more videos for it
He found cornmeal in a loot drop and was offended, turned into a running gag (including limited tinge tee shirt run)
I think it was in Apocalypse, but I could be remembering wrong.
Video Game logic example number 355732367457775:
(Joking. Games that are too realistic, aren't generally as fun, especially for a crafting game.)
Car has it's side windows smashed in, but it's Glock searching it, that sets it's alarm off.
Hey Glock,
disabled streaming textures will need pre-load them into GPU and OS RAM on map load as opposite to load them on object draw (if they are not loaded already).
XD
Pique: to arouse, as in interest or irritation.
SO excited for this series. I hope the likes/views/comments are in support of you delving further into this mod.
That house with the workbench is where I set up my base in my first game.... I'm new to playing but have been watching your videos for a while! PS Theres a hidden stash on the top floor at the far end above the bookcase hidden in roof, one block up
Nothing beats a glock9 video
There IS a prefab survivor base you can use, it has a vending machine (which tells the time too) and a rooftop that you can garden. Also, you can crouch through a 1 block space if you didn't know
When you’re using storage, the second backpack button stacks all things which already exist in a chest. Very speedy inventory management.
I do love how you can keep up with soo many different ideas your very entertaining to watch thanks for doing what you do best
It’s going to be a good day! Starting the day with you glock 9!
As someone who plays perma-death DF: Beware of troll land mines in custom POIs. In particular avoid a shitty run down gas station and another one called 'Danger Pete Mine" They don't give you a fair chance lol. FYI, vending machines will also give you the time. But despite the dangers you should really check out as many custom POIs as possible, some are so much better than vanilla
edit: I hope these weren't too many tips
Awesome episode again. Every night is like a mini hordenight and it reminds me of my first ever series to watch here
Jeeze, you had me choking on my coffee with the cheerleaders hunting in packs comment.
"So long Soldier" I crack right up when Glock said that😁
I've been really enjoying your gameplay and I am glad you are also enjoying yourself.
If you are interested. in vanilla 7dtd behind the mirror above where you have your chests usually has a hidden backpack.
Hope to see a new series with this mod after you finish Nightmare.
Even tho I’ve never played darkness falls, I’ve got one tip for you, beat the shit out of those zombies😎
Hey Glock, you can use the inventory icons on the top to quickly move like items into chests and stuff. Take a look.
Theres a Guard captain in the trader that sells medical supplies and also gives quests.
You'll have to dig out some of that raised ground below the balcony to see if it keeps the zombies from beating it out, seems like a prime spot for them to accumulate.
I like to make bases like it's the walking dead ( tents in the middle of nowhere with a fence of something that will make some nice if a Zeke walks or runs past)
( a Zeke is my word for zombie and could you please use the word to convince people it a good zombie name) love ya glock
I'm glad I found your channel last year! Love the videos and now I can't stop playing 7 Days gotta try darkness falls soon! Keep up the awesome vids man!
Gotta be cocky, even in Darkness Falls. Quality vid by the best in the biz. Thank you sir!
Love your videos. In darkness falls you can squeeze in a single block space
So happy that you survived, it means at least one more episode to come!
Hey glock your videos always give me a smile When they pop up on my iPad love your vid’s keep doing what you do good and I hope you can return to house on the hill again
That day seven hoard base idea, sounds like a good plan. ☺💚👍🌈
Dude, I watch you since alpha 15 videos started to come out. Your Channel is one of the best gameplay channels on UA-cam. I laugh my ass off with your quick jokes and the commentary is great.
Keep up the good work!
Hey Glock, player made torches and campfires(burning) will create "heat," which draws in zombies. Love the vids!
"Opps I set off the car alarm"
Me: "you set off the *cars WHAT* "
Hey. Make sure you click the arrows on the skill trees. Each thing has more skills (o ly a couple min in the video so not sure if you know you have more skills than that front page)
Quick tip for horde night is to kill nurses first because they have a proximity heal affect on zombies.
This is my favorite series so far I love your content it's good and funny
So that reflective picture frame that is right above your stash boxes has a hiden alcove behind the right side. Also if you crouch you can walk through one block holes. I used this trick to get to the 2 safes trader jen has behind her. Just set down a wedge block and use it as a ramp to walk up onto the counter top. Or to get into that room in the jail just nock out the bars and go through that opening.
Lastly you can pick the lock on some doors in this mod also.
you can get through 1x1 spaces in this mod, so you can crouch and crouch jump through holes. also the heat map increases extremely rapidly
Just got home from a loooooong night shift. Your vid was a pleasant surprise!
Hey Glock, just FYI the buttons on top of the storage will help you sort your loot faster. They are a God Send. Great Vid as always! Keep it real!
Getting close to 200k subs. I’m excited for you man. Huge milestone. Keep up the great content.
This mod looks challenging, know what would be fun?A night raid on a big poi:)
19:41 well mou I got good news and bad news
Mou: the god one?
Glock: you are getting out of jail
Mou: and the bad one?
Glock: in a coffin
