    Thanks Peter. What I really liked about this segment was the hint using plastic to get a gentle curve. 💡

    Hi thanks for your video, i'm really enjoying your chancel. It's been very helpful. I'm just wondering where you get your mirror from? I have approached places that produce mirrors in the past but I have found they aren't willing to give away their offcuts or damaged pieces due to safety concerns.

      I'm only learning atm so i'm trying to eep my costs down significantly until I can cut effectively.

      @@rainbowobsidian5313 Thankyou so much, I generally by the mirror already cut up into squares or circles but these days I tend to cut my own squares using mirror I buy from a glazier. What I don't buy is precut mirror from craft stores as I have no idea of the qaulity. My suggestion would be to keep asking for offcuts or broken pieces from the glazier and you can by specific gloves for handling mirror and stained glass they come in handy and I have a pair for handlings sheets and scraps. Also thrift stores or opshops may also carry mirrors that are cheap and can be taken out of the frame to use. :)

    This was very informative. Thank you. One question about mirror pieces... do you seal the backs with anything before you mosaic with them? I used to do stained glass and you had to seal the backs? Do you also with grout?

    • @TreasuryRoad
      @TreasuryRoad  4 роки тому +2

      Thankyou very much, sorry I just saw your comment, if you seal the mirror with an appropriate mirror sealant then you can pretty well use any adhesive you like. I dont seal the backs as I use the neutral curing adhesives, just saves an extra step. Once I complete a piece then I seal the grout with a grout sealer, if Im using Laticrete Spectralock Epoxy Grout then I dont seal the grout at all as it doesn't require sealing. I just made a video on that installing a backsplash. :)
