Man I love watching your vids, your humor and positive attitude are so infectious. Can’t wait to watch the rest of the series. This will be good motivation to work on my next video tonight! Keep snackin on!
Thanks, EB! I've been really enjoying your latest videos. The narratives are starting to come together in really cool ways, and your neck of the country is still really unexplored by most hikers. Can't wait for your next vid!
@@OutsideComfortZone oh wow!! Well that would be cool!!! We can’t wait to get back out there!! Isn’t it crazy, once it gets in your blood it just keeps calling you back!! Really enjoyed all your videos! Keep up the great work!! Hope to see you sometime again on trail!!
Thank you Snackbox (Jared)! Congratulations on your finish. I completed the first three segments and had a knee/ IT band issue and had to call it. I can't wait to get back on the trail.
Thank you, Brent! I am sorry to hear about your knee problems, though. I had some IT band pain but was able to work it out with some good stretches. I hope you are able to do the same soon!
@@OutsideComfortZone Doing well up nord! Been doing a long section of the potty training trail with my son. It's a doozy! 😂 I'm heading to the Sand Dune state forest this month for my first dispersed camping adventure. 🤙
@@OutsideComfortZone Not until October. I start physical therapy tomorrow on my arm I broke on the trail in June. October I’ll be backpacking Big Bend NP.
I have only seen folks starting on the CT FB page, but there seems to be a good number of them out there still. These videos are a little behind because I wasn't able to finish editing them on-trail (I finished in July). Are you thinking of a hike of your own?
They really are super hard, and the views are scarce until you get to Georgia Pass. I had some pretty tough IT band pain in my knee through this stretch. And I loved that new pack but I also think I might have almost worn it out already, haha!
Finally getting to watch your 2021 CT series, you guys were crushing the miles early on! The only way to watch a thru hike, wait till they're all uploaded and binge back to back.
Thanks, MaD! It was really a challenge, but I love the first couple sections because of how different they are from the segments later in the hike. Segment 4 is particularly gorgeous, IMO!
Amazing scenery? check. Helpful tips and hacks? check. Witty banter? check. Camp food porn? Notably absent. B- 😉 (Loved the video! I always look forward to a new upload.)
Haha, thanks man! I went stoveless this year, so I didn't have anything that would even remotely qualify as food porn, sadly, other than a few town-meals and maybe a cold soaked dinner or two a friend packed for me, haha.
I was just as surprised to see you referencing it. I grew up on homestarrunner nonsense! Oh the silliness... By the way, you're videos are amazingly helpful! Thank you so much. I'm planning on the CT this August, hopefully we'll cross paths!
It’s hard to follow with how fast you talk at times and that music feels like being on hold when somebody calls a business. Other than that it’s a good video.
Looks like an awesome place to go hiking! Great looking scenery!!👍😀💯
It was great! Hope you are doing well!
Nice filming. 👍 This looks like a great trail! The sheep joke!!!🥴
Thank ewe! See what I did there? ;)
Great scenery. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you, MotM! I am looking forward to catching up on your videos now that I am back in civilization!
Yay, meeting Boogie! Gotta love them glute-busting climbs 😁.
They were brutal in the first half of the trail! And Boogie=A+ dude.
Hey J!! I just go back. I finished on the 24th. Now I get to experience the hike all over again watching your excellent videos... Cheers! 😎
No way! You crushed that trail FAST! how was it?!? Can’t wait to hear about your adventure!
@@OutsideComfortZone Well, that’s nice of you to say…but I wouldn’t call 46 days fast by any means. 😛 But- I would do it again for sure!
Great to see you back on the trail. Your positive attitude, advice, and humor are appreciated.
Thank you, Meg! I am really grateful for your support! I hope you are having a great summer so far!
This was awesome to watch! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Tridudy! Looking forward to your next adventure!
Just a few days ahead of you in Breakenridge, maybe see you on trail.
Snack Box!!! My kids and I had a fun time crossing paths with you this summer! We'll be watching.
Dan! It was great to meet ya'll! I hope I get to hike the trail with my kids one day, too! You inspired me for sure!
Awesome to see you on trail Jared!! Exciting stuff!!
Thank you, Buckley! Sorry to see the bugs got a hold of you on your last adventure!
Great start! You certainly covered good mileage and the scenery looks really interesting and varied👍 All the best!
Thank you, Des! It was a really great trip for sure!

Thank you! You too! I think you might be in a time lapse during that segment in a later video!

Are you still seeing a lot of hikers on the trail this time of year

Look at that new pack!!! Of the sections I was able to do, 2 and 7 (in reverse) were my tough ones...

Hey! I recognize those guys!
One of them gets a trail name in an upcoming chapter!
I can't wait to see the birthday surprise!
How did the umbrellas work out for you?
I ended up not using mine much, but Wingin It and Details both loved theirs. Are you thinking of adding one to your setup?
@@OutsideComfortZone yes. I ordered mine yesterday. We shall see whether it's a good choice for me.
TROGDOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knewwww there'd be someone else out there who got that one!
